This was a really good film and the animation was fantastic. Did anyone else feel like this didn't have strong marketing? How did you hear about this film? What was your reaction? I felt the same way! The immense amount she put into raising her gosling just felt so familiar. When Long neck told her, “ You shine like new.” It really felt like he was talking to us 😢
Its weird, i feel like 5 or 6 years ago, even duds where getting promo left and right. I feel like streaming studios were like, hey theyll see it on the front page when its out so why waste money, and somehow this influenced mainstream studios. More and more things come out of the blue for me even if i feel like i keep myself up to date with media haha
Wasn't expecting you guys bring this reaction. I watched this film with a friend in theather and it's a great metaphore of motherhood, the animation it's amazing and also the soundtrack. I love that they didn't hide how cruel nature can be in real life. Happy halloween !!!
Great to see this movie hold/rally well @Box Office ($234.4m worldwide on a $78m production budget) despite Universal stupidly putting it out so early on digital release!
I cried three times watching this! It was so gorgeous! What a beautiful movie! The music, the characters, the acting, the animation! Everything was perfect! I loved it so much! 10-10!
I loved this movie so much. It had me tearing up a couple of times, in particular the endurance montage before the migration and when Roz is running with the birds to give him a boost. This was based on the first book in a trilogy of kids books so there's lots of story left. The second one is The Wild Robot Escapes and the third is The Wild Robot Protects. The director has already confirmed a sequel is in the works.
AMAZING MOVIE TO REACT TO!!!! I went and saw this in the theaters THREE times. It was that good. You guys are the best for reacting to this !!! The theme and score at times is so epic and beautiful. Roz was able to replace her programming with her heart ❤️
I'm most impressed that you guys actually avoided watching something horror related just because your felt like your were supposed to today, like every other youtube reactor. Nice job, gentlemen
Chris Sanders Strikes Again. Another masterpiece from the director of Lilo&Stitch and HTTYD Trilogy! The Wild Robot is not the movie we deserved, but still the movie we needed!
Took my mom to see this in the theater and I loved it, so many memorable moments and so many great lines. This is a movie that's hard to dislike. It's one of the easiest 5's I've ever given a movie. So great to see you guys react to it. I hope The Answer watches it too.
I had asked my mom if she’d heard about it yet and she said No, we’re both big Disney fans, I’m really surprised how badly they marketed this, but how amazing it’s doing. Can’t really name my favorite moment, but I loved watching you guys feel the feelings ❤
Now that you guys have mentioned it, it is true that I didn't even see any trailers or marketing for this film. The only reason why I heard about it is bc I'm a big fan of Kit Connor (he's a main character of Heartstopper which I love, highly recommend btw!) who voices BrightBill - I saw a short behind-the-scenes clip of him and the others filming in the studio that was either posted by himself or a fan account. But I kind of forgot about it until I went to the theaters and saw that it was out. And I was curious bc I was starting to see a couple of reaction videos floating around. But this was just an incredible film. The animation was phenomenal, and the story was extremely emotional. I literally cried 3 separate times. It was funny bc the first time I felt the tears coming was during BrightBill's training montage - there was just something about the music, their determination, and Roz's unwavering dedication. It was so heartwarming to see, but I was kinda confused as to why I felt like crying bc it was a relatively uplifting montage... until I heard my friend whisper next to me "oh my god I'm gonna cry" and then I was like lol okay cool it's not just me, anddd cue the tears haha. Anyway, I def think this is one of my new favorite animated movies. I think there is something in there for everyone, and it just has so heart heart and plenty of valuable lessons. Thank you for yet another great reaction, I couldn't have clicked on this video fast enough!
About to watch this! So excited but devastated Answer isn’t here, I KNOW he would have loved this film. He definitely would have teared up!! Hope he’s all good though! Sending you all some love, can’t wait to tuck in, one of the best films of the year for sure
This movie pulled at my heartstrings with emotional moments "where his wings end, his heart can pay the balance" Brightbill at end "I love you mum" Roz wakes up "I love you too" bought a tear to my eye 🥲 but my emotions were left feeling warm & fuzzy from that happy ending & liked how relieved Quinn was about that too! A truly magical, & beautifully made movie & yes Diamond Dave I got WallE vibes too through the 1st part, like when Roz is in 'learning mode" & how I knew about this movie was when ya posted for us YT Members titled "surprise!" & what a wonderful surprise it was! Thank you for this emotional & uplifting experience BM! ❤🤗 & loved the Johnny5 Short Circuit reference, I think ya all could watch Short Circuit2 on brand new monitors to experience it in crystal clear quality for the channel hehe 😅
Just wanna mention that the movie is based off a book, actually a trilogy of books. Fans are saying the second one's even better than the first so I can't wait. Sequel's already been confirmed
I saw this at a drive in theater. Such a fun experience! This movie just proves that AI doesn’t belong in art. The music, visuals, talent, direction it went in was great and was all made from a team who loves animation. It’s a coming of age story that focuses on both the parents and child’s perspective and I think that’s what makes the story feel so unique yet familiar!
39:04 The level of relief MQ has at the end makes me think we have made a wonderful job traumatizing you all 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Beautiful movie, amazing reaction, thanks for taking the time to do this one guys!
If you guys have seen Short Ciruit, you MUST see Chappie. It's made by the same guy as District 9, and has the same actor as the main character from District 9 as well. Hugh Jackman is in it, and Sigourney Weaver! It's a fantastic film! Makes me think of a modern day Short Circuit, with ALOT more grit meant for adults.
There's something to be said when everyone agrees that marketing for a movie is poor. The more popular conclusion is that Hollywood has no idea what they're doing when they don't market a film that "everyone" agrees is good. The alternate conclusion is that marketing is all that matters. 1)Because a film that's good doesn't do well just for being "good" and 2)Because everyone blames the marketing when it doesn't. This means people generally don't actually look for "good" movies, they just want to be told what to watch. The Wild Robot and Transformers One and Venom 3 are perfect examples. 2 good movies with bad marketing, 1 bad movie with good marketing. Guess which one is selling the most tickets.
This movie is part of a book series. This is the first book. My daughter said it required to read in school. My husband and I took our daughter to the theater. She could stop talking about the book. At the theater, all children ranged from elementary students to high school students. When I tell you that every child was crying in the theater. All of the adults were baffled and yet felt emotional of all the kids reaction
This movie was incredible. Usually, no matter how good these animated films are, and I love them, I don't get moved to tears because they are animated characters. Just doesn't affect me that way. This one got really close. So good.
For marketing- I saw the trailer pop up on Facebook and RU-vid, but that’s it. I kept it in my mind because the first trailer was enough to get me welled up and I KNEW this would be a masterpiece- just like I knew Into the Spiderverse would be simply from one screen-shot.
Such an amazing movie. I was so excited about it as soon as I saw the trailer. My brother took me as a birthday present and I LOVED it. If this doesn’t take home an Oscar, I’m gonna be pissed.
probably the fastest ive clicked on of your videos.. even faster than Band of Brothers. Saw it in the theater.. me and the wife bawled our eyes out. So good, 10/10
Whats interesting about the programming line, animals are technically programmed by their survival instincts and you can tame animal so it can get really close i feel like. I love too the fact they picked a runt, "youre family dying is what made you live".. 😮💨 this movie not only is beautiful visually but story wise too, such an interesting plot i tought. Loved to see you guys jump in on it, great video as always, keep it up guys 😁
OH MY GOD! I was just about to ask you guys to watch this! I love this movie-- I literally cried 3/2 times! I don't even know why 😭😭😭 Also, I'm pretty sure they're planning on a Trilogy with this one :D
Wild Robot is a book. 1 of 3. The story is phenomenal. More intense, emotional and full of life lessons. I couldn’t bare to watch this in theaters because how much they changed the story and characters. What you got out of the movie is a fraction from the book. The second story is way more intense and I hope they make the second movie.
The movie is actually based on a three-book series written by Peter Brown, so there might be sequels coming (though I don’t believe the studio has said anything about sequels (yet)). I read the books as a tween, and I personally feel that the movie did the original story so much justice
One down, two to go... Thanks to the success of the first film, DreamWorks already announced the adaptation of the second book of the trilogy. If they can keep the same quality, they're in for a new HTTYD animated saga !
I play trailers all the time and I had no idea that Lupita was the main character. I saw the trailers numerous times, and I think it's much better than Inside Out 2.
The movie may not have had any tragic ending per say but it was still quite good at hitting those emotional beats even without their characters dying. It really got me in the feels quite a few times and honestly I hadn't quite expected it to, I won't claim it to be the best movie ever but it definitely feels like Dreamworks has outdone itself and earned best movie of the year at least
my friend worked at universal at the time which is how i heard abt it lol but yeah beyond that & the cast’s social media… not much at all :// hoping it does well at awards tho! i cried so hard in the theater which usually does not happen xD
My kids wanted to watch it after reading at school some time ago! I knew notjing about it. Great movie. Son didn't like because it wasnt the books. My daughter and i loved it!
