A video I took at breakfast of a typical meal for Storm our 10 week old blue Merle Border Collie puppy, spread over several puzzles.
The first one is a Nina Ottosson tornado puzzle that Rachel gave to us.
The second is another Nina Ottosson game, the level 2 brick puzzle.
The third is a level 2 Trixie Dog Turnaround puzzle (the chemistry set as TC calls it).
The fourth is a level 3 remotely operated Trixie Dog memory trainer. The button isn’t particularly sensitive and Storm struggles to get enough weight on it to operate it....so she’s discovered that if she turns it upside down the button becomes easier to press. The first puzzle she’s had for a week, the other three she’s had three days.
Update:
This video was uploaded back in 2019 when Storm was still a puppy, it's only recently that this video has become popular. We still occasionally use these puzzles, along with a few others, for feeding. She is on a diet of kibble in the morning, mostly by Millie's Wolfheart and has Butcher's wet food of an evening. The feeding approach in the videos seemed to work with her as she showed little interest in food to start with and the interaction made her more willing to eat. She doesn't scavange for food, and she has full access to our pantry where all of our and her food is stored. If she wanted to, she could help herself, but never has. The only time she has ever taken anything she wasn't meant to was earlier this summer when she ate one of the burgers I'd prepared for a BBQ, which was so out of character that even a few months on we're still surprised she did it.
She has her own Instagram page, Stormthebordercolliedog if you want to see her development since this video was filmed.
