There's absolutely no way I'd let someone use my car. I'm far too anal about my car. Most people eat/drop food, have kids (which are living breathing nightmares, for people who care about their cars).
I have 4 scotties I like to put in your car.. i will start after a good walk in the woods..and a swim in the river..and some face prints on your windows..lol....ment to be funny
Probably a smart move. Especially if it's me. I can easily be as messy as a kid when eating. Especially in a car.😉 Occasionally I swear I need a bib. I'm not so bad on a bus though. Personally I'd never be too concerned about my vehicle. But only because I'd deliberately drive by a piece of crap around in case my fibromyalgia started flaring & I had to leave it across town due to too much pain to safely drive.
This is the first time I have ever heard of peer-to-peer car rentals. There is no way in hades I would rent out my car.

I used to have 6 vehicles on Turo and was an All Star Host. After having 3 vehicles totaled in 2021, dealing with multiple felons, and all my vehicles being marked as narcotics vehicles by the Police, I sold and got out. Tons of drug use and drug activity from Turo, its a terrible platform now.
That’s why you don’t rent your personal vehicle. You rent ones you don’t drive. Put them into a business and use them for what they are. A business vehicle not your personal one. Also never do quick book. Have the person request rental. That way the person can be vetted and you can refuse whoever you want. Do some research on your renter. The web is full of information.
Can a sane person ever feel safe after renting to a potential smuggler. Don't wait until you get pulled over to consider the implications and potentials. Damn!!
@@nickmckenna2801 ever seen a packed frame? It's not at all strange to think a busted package could leave some or even a forgotten package is possible. At very least the dogs are gonna hit the smell every time..forever
@@nickmckenna2801 I had a used car hit for narco smell. I know it wasn't me so if the cop was truthful and if the dog was accurate I can only assume previous owner was a pothead. Lol
@@Hugh-Glass the dogs are generally an instrument Of police corruption and are not reeeealy trained ao much to detect drugs most of the time, they’re mostly trained to signal so the cop can search things
We rented our extra vehicles out to turo, it works great and we were making 5-6000 per month for both vehicles. Until our truck was used in a trafficking operation and a high speed chase. Turo insurance pays everything, it does take a few months to get the vehicle clear and paid, and a year and a half later we get billed from Txdot for damages to signs, culverts and a light pole. It was a big hassle and now any time an officer runs our tags that incident comes up and creates an issue where officers are more cautious and more stress on everyone. Especially when we go to south padre for a week and come back the border patrol checkpoint runs the tag and we have to pull off the side for extra checks.
It’s a popular thing in todays world. I wouldn’t do it but sold my Porsche 911 and the guy that bought it does just this. He rents his high end cars and trucks. I just couldn’t do it.
Lucky they got the car back at all. Probably thought they were pretty special coming up with a plan to make extra cash. The dumb alarm didn't go off thats the funny part. It's so easy for coyotes anymore.
Folks listen. In life sometimes you don’t want to be “the first”. Like if they figure out how to teleport your body from somewhere to somewhere else. This car rental thing is one such thing. “With a simple google search..”. Exactly. These companies arent even doing the bare minimum.
1 thing that needs to be noted is that Turo at least compensated The owners for the inconvenience and what not because I don't think that Any other. Appear rental company would do that and I think they would use the excuse that You knew the risk ahead of time or some other excuses So the fact that the company did at least In some kind of way compensate the owner was commendable respectful and in today's time very responsible like I said most companies especially ones like to where it's somebody putting their personal property For others to use you run the risk of Either signing somewhere before hand and not even realizing it that the company won't be held responsible and That's why it's really important that you read the little print even if you have to zoom in to read it because If there was a clause somewhere When setting up the account that said you run the risk of damage or something happening to your vehicle we are not held responsible these owners would have probably been in an even more upsetting situation had that been the outcome so it is very commendable and like I said most companies wouldn't have been so adult about the situation let alone respectful
Everyone evolved with this are the worst of the worst. Some are the idiots that rented their personal vehicles to strangers and didn't think this was going to happen and the others are the scum bag criminals. Idiots and crooks are the ruination of this world.
More thanks to the Ahab Biden and Jezebel Harris administration. Need more stickers saying "I did that!" We all need the ORANGE MAN BADASS ADMINISTRATION back! Best damn 45th birthday and Christmas present from Jill Stein!!!

"Human smuggling " Definition, bringing construction workers and painters (migrant workers) to the United States ....... How dare you bring those landscapers to the United States 🤣
