Yeah for real, I went to give them a go recently and first started with general knoxx until I got fed up with driving. So then I went to try clap traps revolution and gave up after I was asked to collect all those damn claptrap parts. I can't remember the exact amount but it was like they sent you off to collect 30 parts. After finally do that, no kidding, the very next quest is to go back and collect another 75! When I read that, I just thought screw it and went back to borderlands 2

I legit just used the compass at the bottom of the screen, for the original game (idk about remaster) they had an icon for if any loot was available to pick up. I used that to find the parts, took me maybe 10 minutes just because I focused on killing the enemies before hunting around

Something that the BL1 Remaster got wrong is changing what Angel looks like when she talks to you. I liked that in the original BL1 you really didn't know what she was. She looked human and sounded human but there was that scene with the satellite after the credits. It was a good mystery and I feel that new digital look for her fucks with that a little. Still an awesome character though!

The good news is, though, he's got a few more Ace Combat games to cover (he still hasn't reviewed AC Infinity other than calling it "weird," or AC Joint Assault, or AC Assault Horizon Legacy, or AC Xi: Skies of Incursion, or AC Advance, or AC Northern Wings) The bad news is, most of these games are on mobile devices, and AC Infinity is basically a F2P fanservice-arcade-fest, so idk if he's gonna get to any of these.

The gimmick of Zero with the ace style, really saved that game in terms of content. 5 had a ton of missions, and 4 had... well... 4 was 4, and that's it. But 7 has a bad multiplayer, and 20 missions in a campaign that like 8 of those are actually fun to play conistently. End my suffering.

I'll never forget playing through the whole game with friends, with that terrible p2p networking that rubber banded everyone all over the place, has weapons with diceroll accuracy that could miss a perfect headshot and involved repeating the same areas up to three times to do all the sidequests. Borderlands 2 was a massive improvement, though it did lose a bit of the dark grit of 1 and went all in on the goofy comedy.
