The reason he ran out of ammo so fast is because if you reload a tediore weapon while the mag still has bullets, you essentially throw those bullets with the gun. Basically, with tediore, you run out of bullets faster if you are an OCD reloaded

***** I know that it does more damage when there are more bullets in the mag when you reload. But, that essentially means tediore weapons encourage you to burn your ammo fast

It only takes discipline, that's all. It's a powerful function to have available. With a powerful Tediore weapon that has the damage prefix or an extra large magazine (damage prefix is preferable in most cases), shooting once and throwing is a great way to annihilate tougher enemies that you need dispatched quickly. The reload function effectively gives Tediore weapons some of the highest DPS ability in the game, particularly with characters that have reload speed buffs.

when you reload a tediore, you give up everything left in the magazine. the plus side is that you deal huge amounts of damage by aming it right on an enemy

Hey yote preciate the video man......have my my own and believe it or not its become my go to shotty - and with the bee shield equipped I destroy just about everything even when its not getting amp damage and watched a couple times I've pulled about 250k damage on different enemies - amazing for crowd control and blasting in confined areas - it is a beast - don't over look this gun - thanx again yote

Btw for those who don't know, legendary drop rate were increased three-fold in an update. This means that the Longbow will more likely drop than the Blockhead.

BEcause when you reload, you throw the weapon, when you throw the weapon, all the bullets in your magazine which leads to running outa ammo. :\

Damage dealt by the explosion is increased depending on bullets in magazine. So, firing off one round and then just throwing the weapon straight away can hit some crazy high damage.

The Tediore guns use any ammo left in them to cause extra damage when you reload and throw the gun. Because of this, any Tediore weapons prematurely reloaded will still use all the ammo in the magazine.

Also had an awesome night farming Pyro Pete 2 nights ago, got 8 legendaries including a level 50 infinity pistol which I've been looking fo for months. Now I can finally retire my lvl 12 infinity which i've been using with the evil smasher glitch. One cool thing, I actually got a Hellfire SMG from one of the chests behind Pete's lair. Had it early on in playthrough 1, but sold it for some reason. Last night only got 1 legendary from Pete, but it was a big one, The Conference Call.

Whenever you through a tediore weapon, whenever you reload it, it uses all the ammo in the magazine. Tediore weapons don't refill the amok necessary to make a full magazine, they reload as if you using an entirely new mag

everytime you reload, you dont just throw the weapon to make a kaboom, you also throw the magazine inside with it, the more amo is inside the mag, the more damage the explosion does

It is the basic effect of all tediore guns. Whenever you reload (even with partial full clip), you will throw your gun for additional explosion. The catch is if you reload before emptying the entire clip, the end explosion will deal more damage than when you reload with an empty clip. More unspent ammo, stronger explosion.

The Blockhead's also good when against Terramorphous' Masher tentacles, since it can basically obliterate about 3 tentacles at one, with only one shot. This applies even better to a Commando, since you can use a turret to distract the tentacles, and lay waste on 'em.

Its the Gentle Blockhead, and its increased pellet count. Mine is 11. Yote, get another and give them to your zerker. Itll beast mode for days with the right loadout

Tediore have that special ability that it explodes. but the ammo that still is in the weapon will be lost too, so its more usefull to use the whole clip before reloading.

Tediore weapons (aside from the rocket launchers) will use the remaining shots left in the clip (it will not go back to your ammo capacity) to power up the blast the weapon leaves when you throw it. More ammo left in the clip means a stronger blast. Because of that, you expended your shotgun ammo pretty quickly and sloppily considering you didn't take advantage of the thrown weapons very much.

Yote, the deal with Tediores are that when you reload, the left over ammo in the clip is taken and used when it explodes instead of remaining in your backpack..

Is about the Tediore explotion effect, it takes all your remaining clip when you reload (but im sure you already know that), also you WERE absorbing bullets but they were from Assault Riffle and SMG

Yote, shen you reload a a tediore, the bullets left on the clip counts as the explosive damage it does, so it is like you have shot those bullets, and the weapon will reload from zero, and it will always spend the number os bullets in the clip

Yote, you were absorbing shotgun damage, but you shoot once with your tediore weapon, and the rest of the clip gets 'thrown away' and that means that the bullets left in the clip gets wasted but it increases the damage of the thrown tediore weapon.

the prefix that makes the gun fire more projectiles is gentle. you don't need to know the prefix though. if the any shotgun has a foregrip, you'll know it fires extra projectiles

Also, Absorb Shields only absorb the ammo you're getting shot at with. So if the enemy is using a pistol you're absorbing pistol ammo no matter what weapon you have equipped.

@bunny man yes thats true but when you have more ammo left in your clip the explosion damage of the reload's explosion will be multiplied by the amaount of ammo left thus making the exsplosion alot more powerful. Thats why people shoot 1 bullet from the baby maker and throw the rest of the clip on the enemy. Was very OP before the bee nerf...

I've actually had 2 Badass Creepers spawn in one farming run, ended up getting the Legendary from the 1st and the Unique from the 2nd.

Actually it does more damage when you reload with bullets in the clip. It even has a formula: Base Damage x Number of bullets = Damage from explosion

Yote the reason you where running low on ammo is cause its a Tediore. When a Tediore weapon reloads it explodes. All the ammo left in the clip will deal damage of the explosion. But the disadvantage with that is instead of adding ammo to the clip it simply makes a new gun. So more ammo in clip=Better explosion. But consumes alot of ammo. Its better to fully empty the mag. Sorry if my English is bad im swedish :D

Yote the Sham absorbs the type of ammo being fired at you, not the type of ammo you are using. So for example, if you get hit with SMG fire you are going to get SMG ammo.

Sometimes you can get 2 badass creepers and they do come at the start sometimes but it took a long time for me to get it. Took like 50 times

The sham absorbs the type of ammo you were shot with, ex pistol shots that hit the sham give you pistol ammo, meaning to get shotgun ammo you need to be shot by one.

About the drop : I tried to farm it and just like you it finally droped the EXACT SAME WAY, with an early Badass creeper that gave it to me, strangely, I finish the other other creepers a second Badass appeared (as usual after finishing the others creepers) and it dropped a SECOND Blockhead 0_0 So we can assume when the caustic caverns are generated and randomized (in case you didn't notice most chest are randomly placed in the caverns) if it generate an early Badass you will get the drop.

Sometimes the Badass Creeper spawns first, for some reason. One time I was farming the Longbow, two Badass Creepers spawned at once, it was a pretty big surprise.

Yote, a badass has a chance to spawn in place of a regular enemy, so the badass creeper was just a regular creeper that spawned as a badass

The reason is that the Sham absorbs the type of ammo that hits you. You were absorbing a fuckton of SMG and AR ammo. Also, when you throw the gun, it uses up all the unspent ammo in the magazine

Hey yote, its a tediore weapon. When you reload-throw it all ammo in the clip is destroyed for a higher damage output. So your sham was working just that u were reload throwing a lot and it drained your ammo fast

Yeah, you can quickly run out of ammo using Tediore, even if you play as Gunzerker. But doing like these (shoot 1 bullet and reloading whit the rest of the bullets in the magazine) you'll deal more damage with the "grenade" explosion from your reloading.

The reason why he lost so much ammo is because the gun is tediore and when he reloaded with an almost full clip it used all the ammo left in it for the grenade hit

The reason the badass spawned first- There is always going to be one Creeper that is already spawned when you get in, so it has a small chance to be a badass. Happens with Bandits all the time too.

people that use only Tediore weps can output extreme DPS. I'm pretty good with them when not in fight for your life mode(can't seem to land the throws when i'm down...).

It's because the exploding shotgun throws out any ammo in the clip when you reload, instead of just adding ammo to what is in the clip.

whenever you reload a tediore gun (and there are still bullets in it) all the bullets in the gun are used to make the gun stronger, so you kept reloading after every shot which consequently "threw" seven bullets away.

I've seen the BA creeper spawn first a few times. I think it's a minor glitch that happens after farming him lots of times. Could be something else, but that's imo.

The when you are reloading the unfired ammo in the clip is lost and presumably added to the thrown gun's damage. That is why you ran out of ammo so fast

The reason it runs out of bullets quicly because when you throw it the bullets left in the magazine go with the gun and you don't get them back. Also there were not a lot of dudes using shotguns
