3:10 actually the Hornet is loved because it has grenade splash damage, which makes it extremely powerful on characters like Krieg and Axton. The Gub is quite underrated though, I've cleared Washburne Refinery using it on Maya : it performed totally fine. Nice video as always !

I remember getting this gun from a loot midget on my way to the bunker. I was playing as salvador (I was young, forgive me) and used this with his ammo boosting skills. I could kill ten or more bots before needing to reload, and the accuracy wasn't a big issue due to the numerous crit spots on loaders. Always had a soft spot for the gun since.

I think that a fence and a railing just have different roles? Like a fence is supposed to keep stuff out, and a railing is to hold onto to keep yourself up? I don't know lol.

i played a lot of zerker and maya, with their fire rate buffs it became a pretty solid little gun

One of these popped out of a bullymong pile in the christmas headhunter dlc for me the other day.

In my opinion, the Gub never sucked - it just is in the wrong element where it has to compete with a very powerful pistol (the Hornet) and a powerful pistol which can come in corrosive too (Gwen's Head).

I love the argyle skin on the gub.

I love the gub. Itbworks and it was my first legendary. When I got it I didn't even know it existed.

I like using the Gub on Gaige because that second half of the magazine is really nice and lasts a fairly long time.

I love the gub it does kind of suck that they mad a handgun available so early that is basically the same thing but "better" but i still love the gub.

Hey, something that you could do for weapons that dont get increased with grenade damage that do explosive damage, is use an explosive krieg as ( atleast I know without the patch) with a flesh crunch class mod and 5 in strip the flesh you'll get around an 80% increase to explosive I think it is? But on top of that you could use an explosive relic and if the weapon still sucks then it is confirmed it sucks

The Chopper got an insane buff in this patch which made it incredibly fun to use. Could you take another look at that? (P.S. you can melee to stop shooting the chopper)

The Gub is really good on Axton because of his metal storm ability

I use it on Gaige a lot before her Anarchy stack gets too high. i use it for characters who don't get Grenade buffs (Hornet for them).

I try to get a Gub on every playthrough. I always had good success with them against buzzards, even when the gun was under-leveled.

The hornet also does splash damage and gets grenade bounses

There are a few reasons why people like the hornet over the gub: -It receives grenade damage bonuses making it probably the best corrosive locked weapon for Axton and Krieg -It's super easy to farm. It's not a long walk and unlike Laney White there's no way Knuckledragger can kill any half-decent player(for Laney White it kinda depends. Minibosses like her are really easy to kill with certain characters like Maya but I feel like especially Zer0 can struggle against them at times unless you have a good melee build with the hide of Terra or enough Critical Ascensi0n to one-hit them anyways) -People do generally prefer the Dahl burst fire mechanic over the spread you get with Bandit pistols -The Gub is a fairly boring gun since it basically is nothing more than a straight upgrade with no unique mechanic or perk

Maybe do a playthrough with zer0 where you can’t farm for specific gear? This would make you have to use other guns and possibly inspire more does it suck series. You can kill bosses only the one time you have to for a quest or what have you. If you get lucky enough to get a lyuda every time, good on you. If not, find other options.

i use this weapon with maya and zero sometimes gunzarka good gun btw the gub works good with maya plus with her cloud kill and ruin i should know this because my main is maya and zero

The reason we like the hornet better is because you can get it early in your playthroughs and it's a good weapon to have early in any playthrough

3:00 Something else that likely didn't help is other known RU-vidrs saying the gun sucks, like Joltzdude. Although, recently, he been saying it isn't that bad and more saying it's annoying that he keeps on having it drop on him when he leasts expects or wants it, much to everyone's enjoyment and humor. Also, personally, I don't like the Gub that much because of how much of the screen it used to take when playing the Xbox 360 version of the game. Nowadays it doesn't take up too much because of the PS4, Xbox One, and PC having a FOV slider. That said, used this weapon on Gaige before and the only annoying thing is that the high mag size means it takes longer to get The Better Half skill to trigger but it stays longer because of the high mag size. That is... even on a Gaige running Anarchy.

Why use zero and not axton? Axton fire rate boosts would make this soo much better

damn now all they have to do is remove the wobbly bullets from the MadHouse AR and make it viable and all the iffy bandit weapons will be super good

I didn't like this weapon on Maya, it's weak outside of Phashelock. I would use the Hornet all day, carried me through OP0 to OP8 Peak rounds.
