Everytime he didnt die from the gate you were standing right next to him, literally within kissing range. I tested that and for some reason it stops him from being killed 90% of the time.
Still works may 2019, just did it today. Sometimes it messes up but once you get the hang of it then it's fairly consistent. Be sure you know how to rocket jump or its 8 eridium every kill. Also you'll lose loot in the floor so always check it if the loot seems slim.
Yeah shortly after he's activated, he says we've got contact to his worms so they pop up to attack. Even though he's just been crushed he still says it. Which I find hilarious. XD
Great vid Joltz. Really enjoyed HOW you did it - showing the problems w/ getting him under the fence - good honest gameplay. I find big bosses are very fun of course but I also think level 5 arena can be tough too. Like Orechasm.
The reason it doesn't work after a while might be because of the loot left on the ground is causing him to stop before the door. I've seen strange things happen before with random loot. There's a pretty high chance it's not it though.
If you have magic missile, it's a great way to make sure you don't run out of grenades. Just throw on magic missile when you have one grenade left and hang tight while they recharge. Swap back and continue :)
can you imagine being master gee for a moment, woken up to existence while being pulled inside a gate you've never seen before, and hearing "oh wow that's never happened before!" seconds before being crushed to death
I don't know how old this video is, but I still play BL2 and had the same shit happen to me. Found out that after 3 or 4 kills in a row he kind of avoids the gate crushing and you have to reset so that it can work again. Thought I was doing it wrong but no, same happens after 3 or 4 kills. Great vid. Subscribed
Joltzdude, thanks for the tip on crushing Gee. It made farming for the L72 Derp Ahab so much easier which is making farming Hyperius easier. Now if I can just get the rocket jumping down....
Wow still works. Took me a bit to do it but I got it. Get him close to the gate as possible hit him with your fist than throw a grenade at the bottom of the gate and boom he's dead, thank you so much for this and got my OP 8 ahab.
You can spec into Nuke to push him in the gate, saves a grenade and looks cool. Anyway, that was cool ! And that kill where he died eraly and got ragdolled into the arena, perfect.
I get the *_family friendly smg_* EVERYTIME, bunker, midgets, Handsome sorcerer, Warrior, watching you get it from lee and being like "mission complete :'D" craked me up so hard
@@S_I_E_P_ I thought it was patched but apparently it still works. I just tried it again for myself and it does work just seems to be more of a pain in the ass now. But it still does somewhat work.

Nice outro song i like it. Also little suggestion from me. How about some pre sequel farms for let's say the uniques that has been asigned to drop from certain enemies for some variety in games? At first i was about to suggest legendaries farm but with the vendors in pre sequel everyone knows how exciting it is to farm legendaries in that game lol.

I know it might be too late for this but .. my theory is that Gee's face and rear hitbox is different, so you might want to stand a little far from the gate so he doesn't turn around after you pull him out to the gate.
Yes this is in fact the reason he was having problems. If you saw what he was doing before he started failing he was backed up from gee but when he failed he walked forward after he smacked gee in the face lol.

I like this series, it's nice just watching a laid back video like this Something I think you could do that would be cool is doing the rising shot glitch with zero then farming voracidous or terramorphous. Would be fast and entertaining
Yeah, the squishy sound Gee makes is sooo satisfying!! And we all have somethings we are used to like cussing. It doesn't makes people losers, i call then uniques, like legendaries. Thanks for the knowledge I'll try that.
His hitbox isn't changing, you can clearly see he's not as close to the gate after the last, or even before the last grenade throw, as compared to the successful kills. I personally throw the last grenades before I go in behind the gate instead of next to gee (as in behind me, as well) to get some extra pull and really wedge him in there. Someone told me they found a Bitch from a Gee kill I did, but despite my rocket jumping skills I never knew there was a hole in the ceiling in the arena to escape through and suicided to get out without verifying the integrity of the claim. IIRC my best luck with Pitchforks was loot midgets from Doctor's Orders.
Hextator I have had the same problem though. After a while, he just refuses to be crushed. But if I save and quit, he will work again. I don't know but I'm fairly certain it isn't just the distance from the door as I haven't been able to get him to work again after he starts refusing to be crushed.
Borderlands 2 leaves much to be desired in how it manages memory so it's probably another exaggerated effect of a leak. I've consistently had Gee be crushed or not when he was visibly closer or not, respectively, on my end. However, I've also had the game completely refuse to accept mouse input after certain combinations of key presses regardless of mouse power, its functionality with other programs or control settings (which oddly can still be interfaced with using the mouse even once it becomes unusable for aiming). If I remember right this same glitch also disables movement with WASD, which of course still work out-of-game as well. As if there's some key combination that freezes you as if you were in a cutscene, but you can still shoot. Suffice to say the game is batshit.
the people that are making him respawn are the people that were getting way to close to the gate. i did it a couple times before I realized what was causing the reset.
joltz you gotta be loving me dry here. I gate crushed him 17 times and got no ahab which is what I wanted. and here you are getting it first try .-. in the process I got a bee shield, a pitchfork, a gunerang, "a madhous" (wtf) and an evolution. but no ahab...
i noticed that loot on the floor can change where the hit box is similar to his foot getting stuck under the ground he ends up floating a bit in the air like he is stood on the gun
hi wanted to say that you do awesome stuff and i really enjoy watching you and i also found a glitch for zer0 today where if you put a point into b0re and respec the b0re skill will still work and it will stop when you save and quit
When you hold your grog nozzle, your screen will randomly sway side to side. When that happens, switch to any other weapon and you will have more pellets for a couple seconds.

You can get one from any lootable source. It doesn't have to be purple rarity either. I would recommend farming one from either vending machines or the TInder chest.
Do you need to pull the lever after you punch him and just just before you throw the last grenade? Sorry, it isn't clear to me how you are closing the door or if it happens automatically. Any advice from anyone would be appreciated 👍🏼
i got the bee shield from gee and what i know about invincibles is that they can drop [almost] every legendary cuz i got a infinity from terra so i get stuff out of their usual loot pool so i really wouldn't be too worried about their loot pool thats just me because ive found many oranges i cant remember
though this is old, I should also add that there is a rare chance that if you mess up just right...you can pull him out of the arena entirely...without killing him...
I figured out 2 things by accident, 1. In Borderlands 2 Bunker can drop the deadly bloom shield, I didn't know tht, and 2. In Borderlands the pre sequel Flame knuckle only drops nukems on true vault and higher AND on ultimate vault he seems to like dropping 2 nukems every now and then. :\
True, but I just didn't know the pre-sequel had my increased drop rates with some weapons then borderlands 2. Granted though you have to grind a MAJORITY of legendaries on pre-sequel.
