@@saltedhorsemeat4843 Fun fact. I've taken voice acting classes from both the VAs for those characters. Its pretty awesome. Also the Goliath VA does Mr. Torgue in the game which is one of my favorite characters.

+Jordan Brown Yeah, I straight up just went WTF when I shot one in the head for the first time. And this head design was the LEAST fucked up one they conceptualized for the Goliaths - there were several other designs that were much worse. Having them go on a rampage and kiting them is fun though. Like a giant, pissed off puppy.
Jordan Brown Yeah, they went through several iterations - initially they didn't even have the screwed up heads, they were just grossly mutated with bone growths and black ooze dripping from them, along with deformed, fanged faces IIRC. Later on they added the "weird head under helmet" design - the initial ones included shit like fetus-looking heads coming out of it's mouth, or the head itself being a fleshy growth with an eye hidden in a hole, or ones with grossly-elongated heads with long spike-tipped tongues.
14:06 I think this is the best line he has. It's not very creative, but it really brings the sadistic brutality out of the voice actor. He legitimately sounds like he's obsessed with the idea of breaking your ribs off and burying them in your skull.
+Lystephe Vayardi my personal fave quote is "should not.......you really shouldn't have DONE THAT!". even with all these other raging threats he gives you, i think this one really stands because of how genuine the rage sounds ,unlike most of the other ones which sound pretty exaggerated. the way you can even hear the goliath's gradual change in voice tone really makes it great
I heard one say that to one of it's friends when I blasted it's helmet off the other day. xD As long as I stayed hidden it took care of it's own friends for me. Which honestly made things easier.
Oh man...this is literally half the reason why I continued to play this game, to watch a Goliath turn into a Rage Monster and pummel everything else around him that moved. It's great to watch 2 of them duke it out and see who can get madder before dying.
i remember the first time i ever saw a goliath, I was freaked the fuck out and the head popping out and then he started talking. all creepiness blown out of EXISTENCE, for this has to be the funniest enemy EVER
Angering these guys and then watching them fight each other is fun.. up to a certain moment when there's nothing else to kill and they come after you. I've got a friend who's WAY too into angering goliaths and then laughing her ass off when they chase me around. Oh, well.. "I'll cram that down your throat!" Heard that for the first time a few days back.. Ran away into hiding and thought how unpleasant it would be if someone crammed a sentry turret down anyone's throat.
for those of you that dont know, the Goliath is voiced by the same guy that voices Mr. Torgue, who also voices the beloved Mr. Satan from Dragon ball Z. :)
My favorite quote when they are running around in rage mode is “ever been strangled with your own intestines!?”. I died the first time I heard it😂. (Also, not going to lie, the transformation really disturbed me at first lol)
When I heard him say “goodnight sweet prince” for the first time, I though he said “goodnight sweet friends” referring to the bandits around him, which made me feel really bad
I've played the game for so many years, and I haven't heard most of these clips. But I've also played so much, that I understand everything they're talking about.
Kinda scary that he gets...you think with all that fury he'd get even dumber, but no. That goofish bumbling bloodlust turns into pure unbridled sadism. He somehow becomes relatively more intelligent. Actually calling you out. It's a calculated fury. He's not blacking out or anything. He knows what's happening. He knew, even before you shot the helmet off. He wanted you to do it. The wrath of a gentle giant. Hate....haaate....HAAATEE.....HAATEEE!!!! HAAAAAAYTTTEEE!!!!!!
