Consider: The lady's got psychic abilities. Maybe she can read his mind, and understands there's someone trapped behind the raving psychopath the rest of the world sees?

For those who are confused: "I powdered my cockatiel for the ribcage slaughter" basically is Krieg screaming that he is gonna get all up in her guts. I assume powdered means protection.

Krieg literally scared someone to death

It might not seem so at first glance, but psychologically Krieg is the second deepest character in the borderlands series, behind only Handsome Jack. He represents the two extremes of human duality, the fear of hurting loved ones and the direct counterpoint between complete desperation and hopelessness, and hope agaisnt all odds at the same time. He shows how much of an unguided train we are in our ordinary life, and the fear of letting this train hurt people we care for

its characters like Kreig. That make me smile.

In Borderlands 3, one of the classes should be Krieg in his sane form. The developers should make it where he was able to be normal again. His inner voice sounds like a pretty cool guy!

Why is the story from borderlands 2 so well made in comparison to Borderlands 3. I love BL2, and even though BL3 has improved a lot the gameplay, the story became a lot more worse

This is easily my favorite cinematic for Borderlands, it's just fantastic and very well made. The music and pacing during the lead-up to the showdown with the Rats still gives me chills.

Objectively speaking, this is in fact a very tragic video. Subjectively speaking, it is funny as hell.

I really love this trailer. From the unexpected twist to who Krieg actually is in the beginning, to the entirety of his own self monologue with himself which is really well hidden exposition, to especially the bit with Maya, when the music becomes much more intense for the single sane sounding line Psycho Krieg is able to muster in the entire trailer being made that much more powerful with the cut off of the music to a decent demonstration of what he's actually like to play in game, to the last bit showing how he actually ended up in the tundra with the other Vault Hunters. I really do just love it, and FYI to all Maya mains you technically owe your lives to all the Krieg mains for what he did for you in this trailer.

I love that through his uncovered eye you can see his sane side, and how he has little animations showing that he's disappointed in himself which shows that old krieg is still partially in control

I really think Gearbox needs a comic series or web series or something with adventures in Pandora, where we get to see things with the Vault Hunters doing their own thing, taking on bandits, lounging around, performing quests, or just being silly. I think we need something like this, there is so much story and development behind all of these characters it could be like the best series of anything ever!

I like Maya too much for her skill / perk trees. But I like Krieg's personality more. Solution? Maya and Krieg made a baby. Baby is a Siren. Baby is also naturally insane. Psycho Siren all the way. I want. Naow.

HIs best lines are when you fully invest in the hellborn skill tree and you hear him start preaching like the guy from V is for Vendetta

It's surprisingly touching. He doesn't really care about killing, all the death and the hopelessness he has to live with. But he actually fights to save something he thinks is worth saving and its not a physical fight, its a mental one that challenges him.

Cant really believe borderlands was never made into a serious animated show, its story and universe are honestly incredible, and krieg is one of the best, most awesome things about all of this masterpiece.

The fact Maya can read his thoughts very well is why Maya understood him

The correct response, when Krieg was all "Now tell her thank you. Tell her that, because of her, we might actually, one day, be able to act like a normal person again," and a bunch of nonsense came out of his mouth, would have been "Don't mention it," or something which indicated that she understood him. Perfect punchline to this little character premise and interaction. And she's a psychic, it wouldn't even have been that surreal.

FUN FACT Did you know that the name "Krieg" is german and means War in english?

I kinda wish they kept doing intro videos like this for every playable character in the games. I hadn't wanted to play Krieg when I heard they were putting out a Psycho chararacter...but then I saw this video, and thought 'hey, he might actually be worth playing!' And now he's my go-to character. I actually scare my friends when I play as him; they stop shooting just to watch me roar around with the bonesaw out. XD

Imagine if in BL3 Krieg came back as a playable character but as a more Jackyl Hyde thing? Like when hes normal he has impressive marksmenship and decent stats, but once he dips below a certain amount of health....the meat man comes forth, increasing his melee and damage he can take until hes full health again. I can even think of the names for his character trees. Jackyl or Calm mind, Hyde or Raging Heart, and Duality or Built for Two (which would reference the meat bycicle built for two)

I just had a thought. Apparently rats, particularly the lab rats, see things we don't when Sirens use their abilities. It's probably from slag mutation. Krieg is evidently a slag patient. So... what exactly is *he* seeing that we're not when Maya uses phaselock?
