I’m so happy they brought Axton and Salvador back. They were my first two Vault Hunters in BL2.

A week or so ago I asked Thicc on Twitch if we would see a 4 player co-op with him, Joltz, K6 and Moxsy and he said with arms race you never know but I don't know if this session was planned at that time lol. I just asked cause you are the 4 guys I watch the most on here. He was farming the Godburner to troll EpicNNG at the time.

this feels good.. Ive been watching these guy's videos for like years.

This was hella short for what is a 15 dollar DLC. I know it includes 4th skilltree too but thats probably how they are gonna justify the length of this gamemode.

I will say that I think Arms Race has so much potential, I've been wondering what a roguelike/roguelite game mode in borderlands would look like and this is pretty much it. The framework they've got here is a tremendous start, and imagine how cool it could be if they flesh out some of the mechanics a bit more (i.e. more bosses, more encounters, multiple stages with progressive difficulty, etc - basically all stuff you'd see in a game like Risk of Rain 2 for those familiar). As much as I love the RPG "grind one character until it is maxxed out with perfect gear" model, I really think there's potential for the roguelike/lite model as well, specifically because of its replay value.

The more I look at this, the more I realize I think there should've been action skill use in this. Idk I guess that's just me.

One way I'm looking at this is could be a good intro to the game for newer players. I tried to get family to play BL in 4-player, but we ended up doing the worst DLC as I forgot how awful those hammerlock tribal enemy's shields are. Brother's very interested in the XB one X all inclusive pass, and if he gets that, may be able to get us to try 4-player BL3, and this could be a good intro for em to learn the gunplay.

Arms race is fun, but it needs a little flare, a stand-alone universal skill tree to level up in the roguelite system. Pop in kill some guys get a level, unlock Axtons sentry gun AS. Kill some more, do a chest objective, level up pick between 2 augments maybe, so on cap at like 10. Give you the diversity and some choices to switch up idk. SOMETHING

Great to see the co-op. But the gamemode is totally gash. A big letdown. Pretty pointless without some other roguelite progression. Other than rando gear drops you can bank that you can't even use in this mode.

this doesn't excite me one bit tbth. new loot. yay. that's really all for excitement. everything else is par at best. randomizing bosses would be cool, maybe buffs as well. along with having random action skills thrown in there to have better chances of surviving. imma wait for bl4. still gonna play bl3, just not gonna pay for a new mode just for loot.

Hey am i the only one who noticed you can ride the bosses mount if your fast enouph

Maybe because i don't like battle royale, but to me it looks so lame and boring without skills and gear. And rewards aren't interesting or worth the hassle. For single player it looks even more boring than slaughter arenas.

I dont understand. Whats the point of annoints on weapons if you dont have action skills?! Is gearbox gonna make arms race specific annoints or, whats the go?
