BORDERLANDS 3 | SKeKSil THE CHAMBERLAIN'S MASTERPIECE 

I'm glad I could "help" you out, Derch (I'm "A Grey Wolf"). This gun is one of my favourite and the buff made it even more powerful (btw, no need to cite me on the video, did it because I meant it :)).

People have been sleeping on this gun. I've been using a fire one for a couple of weeks now, the gun straight melts. I use it to farm graveward.

This gun was actually affected by a hotfix; specifically, in the one where they readjusted several of the pistols, this was indirectly buffed along with the rest of the COV pistols

Moze's mag-based ammo regen works with CoV (Which is great considering what an ammo hog this gun is), it's just based on the shots to overheat. She also has a skill that boosts CoV gun damage based on how hot they are, as well as the splash damage stuff and all the other gun damage boosts she has. So yeah it kinda shreds with her too

This gun is ace man, so many of the COV weapons are good and people are pretty much ignoring them :/

The Skeksil is finally starting to shine in the spotlight and people are finding out just how much of a death machine it really is. I main a Phasezerker Elemental Amara and this thing (I own multiple ones but the 'big gun' is a fire elemental one with a +50% incendiary on ASE anointment) simply deletes everything, even on TVHM mayhem 3. Not even the Maggie touches it when it comes to the sheer brutality with which the Skeksil disintegrates mobs, badasses and bosses alike. Thanks for a great vid Derch!

I didn't expect you make a video on it This go so great I started Amara now level 13 when leveling this gun MELTS EVERYTHING every boss in 2-3 bursts... I've got a shock one and doesn't matter so overpowered SkekSil

It took a while but this gun is finally getting it's shine. It was one of the first level 50 legendaries I got. I saw many videos of the best guns in the game and this one was never in it. And as I started to get the guns I saw in the videos it was a massive disappointment because nothing beat my trusty skeksil

It does pretty good work with Moze too, her ammo regen is specced to the heat till break rather than base mag size for it and her Legendary Blast Master works wonders with it when the RNG pops those rockets. And her base gun damage buffs not based on factors like mags being low/full still work with it too.

Got this in shock at level 7 on my second playthrough. Carried three characters up to Katagawa Ball Gotta get ahold of a corrosive one to try with a Flesh Melt relic, and a radiation one for a Red Suit build

At 3minutes you said that it hasn't been affected by a hot fix, but actually it was BUFFED in a hot fix. It's stronger than in your video

Mozes click click skill affects cov weapons damage when they over heat derch

Derch, you may be surprised at how well Moze performs with CoV weapons. Matched Set, Cloud of Lead and Click, Click..all do wonders to get bandit guns cranking. Forge and Redistribution function to keep ammo at a surplus and even Scrappy helps with speeding up the weird CoV "starting" animation that happens when you first pull up a weapon. Might not be the best CoV user but definitely not bad.

Given the self-damage on the slower splash projectiles and the positive performance of the Shock variant this video, maybe it could fill a slot on your Trevonator build?

The accesories in this game arent very diverse, the barrels have 3 accesories slots, but there are only 3 accesories per barrel, different barrels have different accesories, the body accesories are allways the same also Agent Lomax is doing videos exploring the gun parts for every type of gun

I got this one with 50% cryo while terrified. I ran with 1 point in shock FE and on the terror amara build this gun is crazy good. The annointment you have there would also work nicely with amara and phase grasp synergy for the action skill end annointments.

Thank you Derch. I grew up loving The Dark Crystal as well. I was unaware of this easter egg, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I spent all weekend farming this beast of a pistol. I have only come across shock, corrosive and incendiary elements. Do you know if this can drop in cryo or radiation?

I had never even tested this gun, I knew it wasn't bad but I don't like farming it. After some people recommend this gun, I decided to give it a try. That's one of the best pistols in the game right there, any character can have synergy with this beauty.

I have a fire one with 880 damage and terror with ammo regen for my amara and it just shred !

I 100% agree with u. U cant tactically control the enemies it only disrupts the battlefield. Change the name to vortex or something and bring back bl2 singularity grenades.

I think if those extra pellets are grenade damage then Moze would be able to wreck bosses with the grenade critical hits and all the splash damage buffs. I've noticed that with other unique hidden pellets like the Storm, I suspect it acts like a tesla grenade and sometimes I get the secondary effect hitting only criticals.

Most Hellfires I've seen have 600-800 damage over time, the cool thing I've seen show up on a few different COV pistols is two different blade attachments which in my experience added up to 120% melee damage so that might be really cool with Amara Melee.

This gun drops from the Skrakk in accession bluff and works well with every char bc it has regular bullets and the splash rockets.

Possibly one of best, if not the best cov pistol for moze. I need to put my farmer hat on get a few good ones one of these days. With terror annoitments could be nice

you could probably make a cov amara build with this, pestilence, the cov assault rifles and moar lineage.

I believe the pull part is to make weapon swapping instead of going through the reload mechanic have some sort of downside

My favorite gun since week one. Amara with her shock boost and that fire skeksil is friggin awesome. Overheat is just another word for reload so all good.

I think moze could do pretty well since she can either boost an incendiary one directly or add a decent amount of incendiary to a shock variant

This was the first legendary I got. I loved it, but it was frustrating with the lack of SDU at the time. I finally got a level 50 fire flavored one the other day and I've been having tons of fun with it. I generally have fun with COV guns... they're just... well fun.

Cov= best pistols in game, I love them on my Amara

What about a radiation skeksil on Amara with fire infusion and a redline? Could be nutty

I got a shock for my moze...and even with my allaroundbuild this gun is realy good to use and benefits of the skill added firedmg

I think I already said in the comment section of some of your videos how good this gun is. 😁 I got this on my 2nd PT when I was Fl4k, I got it first try in Shock lvl 8 and I still used it in Skywell 27 and for killing Katagawa Ball when he was lvl 23 and it was wrecking him. I also saw a lot of fancy Jakob's AR's in your inventory. I also find some interesting versions. The name of the Jakobs AR's are Carbine and they have in some cases even more base damage then some Dahl, Hyperion and Vladof Snipers. They have 8 mag size and damge in the high 1600's. I also found a Gatling version with 1542 base damage and a terror anointment (ammog regen). I will send you a copy. Also I think I have to watch the dark crystal. Do you think it is ok to start with the new Netflix Version?

Moze has no synergies with this. Laughs in moze has skill that boost damage depending on how empty your weapons are up like 36 or 60 %

The gun is good for all...my first playthrough was moze, still does work. A favorite gun if mine. It was the first gun I tried to farm when I hit 50, but can be frustrating at times as it goes in spells in drops

I’m gonna try this on moze, get some cool down and some for the road I think it is, spam iron bear and then shoot infinitely Also, could you show some of these off on a cov map as well? I’m interested in seeing how they stack up against hardened badasses and anointed

skeksil is an SMG u can not change my mind also derch even regular x2 cov pistols kick mayhem 3 ass so skeksil is no surprise

cov amara. use a phase cast or tied that bind hybrid. do it derch.

I was starting to think this only came in corrosive since I have farmed for hours on two characters and have 4, 3 anointed and one regular.

Zane could have some synergy with this if Playing Dirty makes it shoot more explosive pellets, but I dont know if it does

Had one early game lvl 11... carried me up to lvl 24-26 depended on enemies. Sadly I never found one later... so if somebody has a spare one I‘m very pleased ;-) maybe I have something to giveaway too... I‘m on PS4.

I think my only complaint about The SkekSil is that it doesn't come in Radiation. I've heard tell of other Vaulters farming Skrakk for ages and not getting a Rad SkekSil. And I have yet to see one in Cryo. Much disappoint. Now I need to see if I can farm this one up again at level. TRAIL BY STONE!

I have a couple of things to comment on: 1) any guin that overheats makes me really NOT want to use it (this happens in the HALO series with their alien weaponry often). Still annoying here too. At leasy it is VERY powerful to make up fo rit. And in addiotn, the "poewer swtich to turn it on" is ceertianly VETRY frusttrating - you are right oin the money with that. Its like they keep giving us reasons NOT to use them - I mean really developers? Cant they just make a gun that does decent damage that doesnt have to have some negative drawbacks? Would that be such a crime? Whois this benefitting? Did they make a bet with someone and lose? I dont get it. Truly frustrating. They are LIGHT YEARS better than Bandit/SCAV though for sure. 2) ANY Weapon in Amara's hands would likely be better - because - shes a siren. She melts all other opponents (including her fellow VH Im sure. They are like super-beings. So thats a bit unfair for anyone else to be compared to.) I have never heard of this weapon until this video. There are so many legendarys - why did they think that having such limited storage psacec would not be noticed and received well by the players. How dumb can they be - again? Makes me wonder if this is on purpose!!!!
