Joltz, the gun is so powerful because it’s partly breath of the dying causing a projectile. You can tell by the red text on the gun.

the guards are technically considered to be later enemies so they will randomize or break can also kill them with a Jericho and they will drop stuff here and there

In Moxsys randomiser video, he has megavore as a 5 point skill and you see that it actually scales with skill points and it can go up to 100% of shots as critical hits
