Also, when you play those minor 7th chords with the root on the 6th string, just use your third finger to bar over the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th strings, and use your second finger for the root note. This is the usual jazz fingering. It doesn't cramp your fingers and frees up the pinkie to play the minor 9th note on the 1st string two frets higher than your bar.
My dad has a Ghost Breelove and I fist told him was the best I've ever heard. Take the breedlove. Glad it got fixed 👍👍 Chord progression is lovely. Thank you and God Bless YOU
Great lesson. This will keep my fingers screaming for Tylenol for a while. I really liked what you were playing at the 2:00 minute mark in the video, that was awesome. I always look forward to your videos, even if I can't do what you are teaching. Glad to hear you got your guitar fixed and have a safe trip, God bless.
I used 53-12 elixir (polywebs I think). The action on this one is super low. I could probably get a bit more from it if I raise the action, but I am enjoying the comfortable playing too much 😃. Thank you❤️
We will moving along in the faithful Subaru. Staying in motels along the way. I have to say that this is my first attempt to make videos of the experience for RU-vid. My really only got started in more serious attempt a little over 3 months ago. So we shall see how it goes. Our road trips are alway packed with great memories and I suspect this one will be no different even with the video clips. Thanks❤️
I just bought a new Eastman E100 ss SB .. $585 bucks!!!.. It is mahogany back and sides, Sitka Spruce Top, Bone nut and Saddle... Looks like a Gibson L00 sounds more like a Martin. It came with an amazing strong solid gig case and a Tee shirt! Check them out!!!! I was SUPER impressed!!
Hello. Thanks for your reply. I understand completely about your wanting to stay anonymous. I did not think of that when I wrote you. I still love your videos. I'm picking up bits and pieces of ideas just watching you noodle on the strings. You get the best sounds out of your guitars. If you keep making videos, I'll keep watching. Cheers
Hello . I have another question. I have been watching some of your shorts videos. I did not know you were also a restorer of guitars. In your travels, which I hope you can video, if you find a good parlor that you don't have to have, could I pay you to buy it and restore it for me? I'm 76 years and don't get to travel as much as I would like. I also don't have the ability to restore guitars. If there is a way to contact you off youtube, I would be happy to talk to you to let you know how serious I am. I really like your Mackenzie and Marr. I want a 12 fret slothead but, they cannot get me a 1 and 13/16th inch nut width. Keep making your lovely videos. Cheers
It sounds like you contacted Mackenzie and Marr and they told you they could not change the nut width. That’s too bad they have awesome small body guitars. As far as restoring a guitar for you. That is something I would not be able to do. I promise my family I would remain anonymous on this Channel for safety reasons. I am really sorry. But if you are looking for a vintage parlor. Check out Gruen guitars I am sure you will find his website if you google it. He sells vintage instruments that they restore at his store. He has several luthiers working for him. Some of his stuff can get really high in price though. But check it out. They have an awesome store. Sorry to disappoint you with my answer. I do hope you understand
It is a pretty chord progression, technically a I, ii, iii, IV in the key of G with the chords Gmaj7, Am7, Bm7, Cmaj7. I can tell you haven't studied much of music theory which is okay. But if you have time the basics are easy to pick up, and it will give you tools to understand and enjoy the guitar much more.
I remember my “a-ha” moment when I realized that iii minor chord over root equals major 7 chord. Em/C = Cmaj7, ; Bmin/G = Gmaj7 etc…. If you think about it, it makes sense, maj7 chord is 1-3-5-7. What is 3-5-7? Minor iii chord. D’oh!
Actual pick box is a great idea lol. Back in the day when cell phones did not exist, it would have been a great place to store dimes for the public telephone Thanks for listening in❤️
Sounds like an awesome store! I am not traveling that far east this time! But I am planning other trips in the future so I will put it on the list for a future reference! Thank you!
I Thankyou it was hard for me not knowing your name i understand ..that’s not my name up there..i shall call you Cindy o Chanteur.. Cindy songbird..I like your showings but over fifty years of playing no bar chords for me good tidings with Your videos …very nice. Work
