Interesting that the Sergeant solicited the trespass by asking the council official if he wanted you to leave, when the council official hadn't asked you himself. This engineered the hands on opportunity which was completely unacceptable. A simple apology from the officers for keeping you from your business would have been sufficient but their collective egos prevented them from doing it. Well done to the first officer that removed his badge when challenged.
This has to go to court. If you don’t have them in court this behaviour will continue with members of the public getting assaulted and probably hurt by these thugs

That cop looked completely broken, unable to dignify himself despite TLA literally trying to help him to dignify himself. Any claim that cop makes against a real criminal will be easily disregarded by a court on the basis of this evidence that shows his incompetence's.

All constables should have accountability insurance which comes out of their own pockets,if they don’t have insurance then they can’t join the Police then we can sue the constable for his/her actions and not the public purse. You can’t travel without a passport and you can’t drive without a license it just makes sense

He isn't allowed to solicit a trespass. It's not ok for him to ask the worker "Would you like this man to leave?" Be sure to include this in your complaint.

I have no idea how I missed viewing part 2 of your audit, TLA. This was probably the finest exposure of the constant violation of our civil rights, ever. Your command of the situation was exemplary. One could feel the humiliation and shame felt by the offending officer whom, unfortunately, didn't have it in his character to apologise or back down in any way, although the look on his face was a clear indication that he died a million times throughout the subsequent conversation. If a Constable gets injured whilst unlawfully ejecting a civil trespasser he cannot fall back on the assault police laws because he is not in the execution of his duty.

I hope you do sue this police force. It is not a Constable’s duty to remove a trespasser unless the trespasser commits an offence or a BOP . If it’s BOP then he has to arrest you to remove you and release you when there js no further likelihood of a BOP. He has no right to ‘remove’ you from anywhere just to remove you. Yet, he then says (talking about the staff's complaint) "the way they felt is still true" . . . so your perception of being alarmed, harassed and distressed can be dismissed, he'll decide what you do or don't feel, yet the staff's feelings about the situation is - literally - true, simply because that's what they felt. I just watched this one and i was extremely angry. Big up TLA that was top work there. When you showed the officer the footage and he didnt act on the false claims I WAS GOBSMACKED...... I REALLY COULDNT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS SEEING. Now if he had saw your footage and then acted on the false claim as an offence i would be now saying top marks to that officer even though he was wrong at the start. But to find out the truth and not do anything when a false report is a crime tells me he only had one agenda and is a poor officer. I know this man made a mistake by violating your rights but damn does he have the patience of a saint. I believe he is probably one of the nicer cops that just made a mistake, seen far far worse .
