Borg Nukem - Borged To Death 

This mod really nails the Borg aesthetic: samey, lifeless assimilation of other assets.

Aye you used my 64bit version of Borg nukem Note: the original author planned on a sequel but got burnt from the game itself so apparently it hasn’t been updated as of 2005 so I paste the Borg grp file into the 64 bit version of eduke32.

That alien weapon is actually a model from Star Trek: Elite Force. It was a “stasis weapon” in that game, but it was actually a shotgun.

Forcing Picard to play this mod would have been a much scarier and deadlier torture instead of four (sorry, five) lights interrogation.

Last time I was this early any game that had guns and you kill things was considered a Doom clone.

I remember on stream when you had an existential crisis because you had to press a button to open a panel to press another button to get a key card so you could shut off a forcefield with another button behind it.

That weird Alien weapon you got is called the Stasis Weapon it appears in the FPS game Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force. Goodness so many buttons.

inb4 some other massive nerd: starship toilets are called "waste extraction units" and (per Enterprise) they do indeed recycle humanoid waste to make other things. They mentioned "boots" but also made no effort to assure us that poop isn't being turned back into food so...well...urgh.

The lack of weapon modification is because the weapons in Duke 3D weren't moddable in 2005. All that is hard-coded behaviour that couldn't be altered. In fact, anything that doesn't use EDuke 2.0 or EDuke32, it's going to be very threadbare and basically Duke3D reskins. CON wasn't powerful enough until EDuke.

it seems this mod needs a overhaul redesign maps and puzzles, and the weapons that needs to act and function like star trek weapons not just skin-swaps. maybe a revamp/reboot of the mod, would be the best for it.

considering where discovery and picard are, this kind of violent shit seems prefect for the star trek we have now.

Well that's disappointing that this mod would turn out to be so lackluster. You can tell that there actually was a lot of effort put into it; there are loads of brand new textures and sprites, and the visual craft within the levels is actually pretty good. These people cared about what they were doing. What a shame that poor level design tanked it.

To be fair, Duke is much harder to mod than Doom is. In Doom modding we have very fancy and powerful editors like SLADE3 and a ton of scripting choices (ACS, etc.) while Duke modders are basically stuck with Build editor or modern Build clones such as Mapster32, both of which have a very outdated workflow compared to what you have in the Doomland and the only scripting they have are CON files which are quite limited, even if you take into account additions made for modern source ports such as eduke. Therefore, it is much harder to do a good total conversion of Duke that isn't jyst a reskin with different levels than it is for Doom.

I applaud your dedication to TNG and its utilisation in form of clips, good sir. That ammo logo. It looks suspiciously [REDACTED]. Granted, it's not particularly complicated or original form (and the mod is quite a bit younger than that).

The phaser ammo logo is the SCP emblem.
