of course they added the "SUPER LONG SHOTGUN" from classic doom Shotgunmania mod *AS THE FIRST THING* i really hope russian overkill can be modded... imagine the fvcking game trying to support the gigant donkey bomb 😅
Problem with Enyo is that it's just mindless "shoot here" like those generic 90s shooter clones being sold on steam If you played Malice it's better - better weapons, better gameplay, even cutscenes
I completely agree with how well paced maps are more interesting. Hopefully we get stuff like Doom Snapmap where there's a bunch of interesting concepts and story maps, etc.
I think the closing comments nailed it on the head. Don't like the way the AAA industry is going? Leave it behind. There's been so many shooters done by sub 10 person teams that have kicked so much ass...there's a game to scratch almost any niche...and you'll realize right away you don't need all that mo cap, real actor bullshit...this game looks basic at a glance....it also lets you do things that most AAA titles shy away from despite the technology being available.
god I played so much Doom II over the years in all flavors of gzdoom / zandro , vanilla, dsdadoom, prboom, software renderer , hardware, weird homebrew mod set ups... and now the ray tracing hits and I am totally doom ii'd out . I can't have fun playing the vanilla maps anymore ... its sad.
What happened to shooters like this? I feel like so many shooters now a days just try to be call of duty... take risks like the creator of this game did, i wish it was on console, id be playing it like crazy right now.
For when a mod where you add the Master Chief and change the gameplay to be more similar to Halo, having long jump, rechargeable shield and a slower gameplay?
