It gives that vibe that, while the place is beautiful, its threatened and in immense peril, both from outside, and worst yet from within, corruption within the druids hitting a boil as tensions with the tieflings who are really just refuges are facing the prospect that they may not make it to Baldurs gate, and may be killed. And all the children. And its worst enemies are those who are really supposed to be taking care of it.
This game is beautiful and amazing. I can't wait to see what else is to come, once the game fully releases. The music of Baldur's Gate itself, while roaming the bustling streets of the Under City.. i want this so bad.

I just watched Dune 2 yesterday and I was wondering why I was feeling some similar vibes in the movie to this song when I play BG3.... and I just realized it's that dark sinister mysterious part at 0:50 - 1:00. I'm not literate enough to explain it in my own words, but it puts me in a weird mysterious trance like it touches my core survival instincts and I think "WTF is about to happen?" 😳
Most likely a tambura. Slavov seemed to favor that instrument quite a bit in DOS2 as well. Similar chordophone to the guitar with a little bit of a zingy timbre.
@@jnooodle oh wow thank you so much! when I try to learn his music by ear I notice some little things he tends to favor so this is a nice touch. He is a fascinating composer.

@@jnooodle Ooh it might be the harp now that you mention it, when I listen back to it it sounds more similar to my lyre than the tambura he uses in DOS2. I don’t have twitter so let me know if he does reply, I would love to know his answer!
yeah the baldurs gate 3 early access has been out for years, could go to the druids grove back then and prettymuch no more, maybe just act 1, im not sure since i didnt play till the full game came out
