Hey Lane so you work for Borla? Question for you .. we just installed this exhaust in our C7 Grand sport... NPP Atak. ... To us it seems very quiet inside the cabin, almost as quiet as stock.... Are they designed to be quiet in the cabin?

Yeah Borla really isn't a ''loud'' exhaust system company. Also I left the company, pretty crappy place to work management was a joke.

@@Hot-1LE we had the same problem, if you look at our install videos the far right tip won't line up. The install shop tried everything they could and determined it was a manufacturer defect. They actually have three defective Borla exhausts in their possession... So we recommend you get a replacement

I’ve had mine for about 3 years now, it actually breaks in and the sound changes a bit. Definitely for the better, I’ll have to post it one of these days for a before and after. But besides corsa and maybe awl, this imo is the best sounding. I eventually want to get the whole cat back 👍

I like this a lot more than the Corsa Extreme. It's more aggressive, poppy, deep, and burbley.

I put S Types on mine. When I put headers on my 10 SS my neighbors had fits so I didn't want to go through that again. Yours sound good and unlike where I live you don't have a house directly behind where you park. Your neighbors will get used to it. I'm going to send you my address so you can help me with mine lol.

Does your new exhaust system have a butterfly flap to alternate between stealth and sport modes? And If I were to upgrade my exhaust with an identical setup, would I lose the ability to control the flap & noise level via the car's engine management system? I like the sound of your exhaust but I do have neighbors and I would like to be considerate of their rest when I get up for work every morning

@@dougedoug2105 Hi just from watching the Video I can tell you he has the NPP exhaust like yours, towards the end of the video you can see he writes which mode he is in when he is testing the sounds.

Stock sound just as good dude. Mine is like yours , 6 speed too. I might just add headers but I havn;t heard an exhaust yet that is that much different from stock.

agreed. i am not noticing much difference really between stock and axle-back borla (from youtube videos). maybe its a bit louder since stock quiets down pretty quick. i think it might not be worth the $1700 or something....anyone disagrees?

People keep buying these after market exhaust because they are brain washed into thinking just because it says Borla or some other name it supposed to sound better....they don't unless you don't have dual mode exhaust. See easy to brainwash people with Fake news today...its sad.

It would be insulting to say that you have out smarted thousands of people who buy aftermarket exhaust because they all have bad hearing and to stupid to notice that they sound exactly the same ? lol

How does this work with the different exhaust sound settings? If I put it in stealth mode with this will it be fairly quiet? Want it loud 90% of the time but wanted to see if the stealth mode was much quieter or not. My speakers aren’t so good and it’s hard to tell in a video

I had the borla atak mufflers with valves and it sounded good then got the xpipe with afm valves and had that installed on Friday and now my car sounds quieter lol any ideas? Shop did something wrong maybe???

I REALLY like the new Mustangs but nice to see Chevy has been gettin that new body on the Camaro refined, my money still sits on the Mustang tho. If I could AFFORD a 2020 Vette, that'd be my hands down car, ace in the hole buy. Having a brand new car that can hang with Ferrari and Lambo's for 1/2 price...I'll take 2 please! :P

Intakes and exhaust do pick up power generally, but you NEED to tune it. Without a tune, you generally stay the same +/- 10 hp depending on how the computer reacts. Also, need to realize tour mode only affects idle and low rpm. As soon as you rev the engine it opens up the valves.

If I’m being honest, the Borla was actually a bit more by around 2 lbs... I was shocked, I was expecting weight savings

Nope no drone! But what I would recommend is actually the S type, it is a bit less raspy and works well with both an X pipe and Axleback

I see in your description that you have the corsa x/mid pipes but I didn’t see a vid on it. I have the borla ATAK axle back too and was wondering if it was a direct fit or did you have to fabricate anything to make it work? I’m dying to get the x pipe but don’t want to have to go out to get it fabricated to work. Looks like it might be plug and play but please let me know, I’m sure it must sound fantastic.

Hey man, I will actually be at AMP on the 16th, not sure about December yet! Having the ability to increase and decrease the volume with the switch has proved really helpful ( AMP has a decibel limit of 100). Everyone who has heard the car on Road Atlanta has had great things to say going to try to get out there once more this year

I do; the most noticeable video I have of it is actually the one I recently posted, shows the switch a valve opening within the first 30 seconds

At speeds less then 15-20 mph, it’s very clearly different, when at higher speeds it’s not as noticeable

I mean it is deffiently loud, and for the brief test, I liked it, but at higher RPM's i would be a bit afraid of it getting to raspy

@@macpettit2327 Do you know where the valves that the NPP controls are located? I always thought they were in the mufflers but if you swapped them out then they must be somewhere else

@@nickydrifts It isn't just valves, but a whole system inside the muffler. Borla developed their own version of the NPP system that works with the factory harnesses. That's why you can't just slap on the factory tips and keep the NPP functionality with any aftermarket exhaust. There are a couple brands out there that have their own systems, but they are all high-end and have a price to match

They sounds identical from a pure valve standpoint, but I did find a get a bit more pops in track mode

I totally agree Mac, when I bought my ‘17 2SS, the original owner had installed Borla ATAK dual exhausts. I was super excited about that because that’s what I wanted originally and one mod I wouldn’t have to pay extra for. Then as time went on and I did more research, I decided to swap out for the S-type quad exhausts with carbon fiber tips and I couldn’t be happier with that decision.
