Learn from me lads. the front LED are easy. The rear ones are another story. You don't have to remove the wheel for this though. I found this out after i had already spent an hour trying to remove the second rear LED. Above each rear tire there is a t10 screw, you can take it out because of the distance between the tire and the screw. With a small t10 driver, take out the screw. you can then pull the fabric back just enough to get the top clip. To get the bottom clip, go under the car (you don't have to jack it up) and reach up to where the bottom clip is, simply pop it and you're done. Hopefully this helps anyone avoid an hour in the dark.
For badge install, do what we do at our body shop, put a piece of masking tape over the letters, then pull the backing off, easily align the badging, perfectly spaced & aligned like it comes. Super easy to do, same way we remove & reinstall badging when wrapping or repairing a door/fender.

You can get all the mods he showed in his video on your 1LT. You could get a cold air intake and a performance exhaust for your car. That’s what I have on my 1LT
I have that $30 side marker light kit sitting in a box. I was afraid it would make my car look cheap but you are right...the orange looks dreadful. Is there a yellow marker in the front and red in the back turn signals? Or do they both flash a yellow LED for turn signal purposes? I wish you would have finished installing it and lit it up. Lego Cars? How about a model car Camaro SS or ZL1 since you already have an X-acto knife and so do most of us. Just need glue. I think the company is called Revell.
Why put a fake 1 LE sticker on? I find keeping it the way it was bought instead of throwing on all this made in China crap definitely the way to go, but hey whatever makes you happy 😂
Mac, Did you really go with the $30 LEDs side markers or Diode Dynamics.... What’s your recommendation for minor scratch repairs from every day driving?
Yeah, I believe so, my current thought is to make the jump to the C8 Z06 once it is released, for now I believe the SS1LE vs the Base C8 will be comparable enough in regards to Lap times, going to be wild though once they give it some more HP
The carbon fiber looks great. I did a couple of other carbon fiber covers throughout the interior of my Camaro too. Big difference for very little money. Great video
I had a really hard time getting vinyl to stick to the bowties on my first Camaro. On the second one I just taped it off and used plastidip so I had the option of removing it later. Makes a huge difference though.
For placing the 1LE decal you could tape over the front and carefully peel off the backing paper to keep all the letters and number spaced together or with an xacto cut out the the letters and number from the backing paper leaving you with a template.
They are definitely noticeable, for daily driving I actually prefer it; I am taking the car on track in two weeks, after that I am going to decide on if I want to keep them or take them off, & thanks man!
Take a piece of tape, put it across the front of it so you can take the back piece off and they all stay the same place. Mark your panel where you want to put it clean your panel. Very clean and put it on. Pull the tape back slowly the letters won't move. They'll go where you want them and it'll look great. 40 years of being a body man
My some what affordable dream car is the camaro ss , so I watch alot of camaro channels on you tube and your car is my favorite SS ...besides Cj on 32s ss but his is a show car and he supercharged it and but a zl1 hood on ect ect but I will say if I ever get my hands on an ss I will be doing most of the same stuff you did to yours , except the zl1 bumper ...just cuz I'm sure it was expensive lol but anyway thanks for all the great videos , cant wait for the next 1!
This car doesn't need any of these things you put on it, but it does need more interior storage, like a place to put your phone while driving. Any ideas on this?
I ordered the diode dynamics side markers and the vinyl for the badges... i saw the lin for the smoked tail lights. I noticed the smoked rear collision avoidance light in the vid... where did you get that? Thanks.
At Some point once I find the right deal, tried negotiating on a few before I bought the SS and couldn't get the price where I felt it would be a fair deal....Since that point the values have dropped exactly where I expected them too, and I am now on the hunt
I was fortunate to find a used one with 400 miles on it in the exact spec I wanted for a killer price. Now I'm going crazy waiting for the Ohio weather to come around.
