I miss Sabah! I was born & raised in a small Sarawak town bordering Sabah called Lawas. At the time, the town was pretty much cut off from the rest of Sarawak except by plane (which obviously cost a bomb back then) because of Brunei. So our school holidays have always been trips to Sabah towns - Sipitang, Beaufort, KK, etc. I’ve sometimes even thought of myself as more Sabahan than Sarawakian 😂 This video brings back memories of my childhood Sabah road trips, and making me miss Sabah so much. This means I must plan a trip back to Sabah soon! Thank you Jun for featuring Sabah, and for taking us along on your trip! ❤
I have heard about Lawas town but haven't had the opportunity to visit. Your childhood sounds really fun with all the trips to those beautiful towns. I'm glad you could walk down memory lane. Thanks for watching :)
Awesome stuff. I made my early morning coffee, put my feet up and watched this with great anticipation. Very enjoyable and thank you for sharing your travels with us. Its ok to cheat on your Landcruiser every once in a while, makes you appreciate her more. Can't wait for your next adventure.
Glad you enjoyed the video with your morning coffee! Thanks for watching. And yes, the moment I came home, I took my Land Cruiser for a drive. Love her even more now :)
The "Sinalau bakas" is not "bakas" anymore, since the covid, no shooting or hunting permit been issued until today, what they are selling are mostly local or frozen pork but "smoked"(sinalau). Until the population of feral pigs grew more and permits were issued there'll be no bakas in the market. Eat while it's hot and don't tapau, when it gets cold the meat tends to get tough. Pleasant journey and enjoy. Cheers
Thank you so much for this info and insight. We were wondering how they managed to make the meat so soft and tender, just like regular pork meat. Now it all makes sense!
Hey jun. I just watched eva latest vid. Hope toyota msia will do the same by inviting u for yt short when the new LC launch here. Very tough handsome looking LC.
First off, I HATE altitude gains....Next, That's some magical trails on that hill. I love that river view. Nothing feels like waking up to the sounds of water flowing over rocks in the river.
Good to know they offer trips with more off-road segments? Your trip overall looked very relaxing. I like how everything is already organised for you. BTW, did you forget to pack shorts? Noticed you were swimming in long pants. Or is that a cultural thing?
The trip was very relaxing and enjoyable, yes, especially with everything organised for us. And yes, I did not pack shorts. Leggings/tights worked as an outfit as well as bathing suit. Protects us from insect bites and scratches too.
“Feels like walking in an enchanted forest” Me: Narnia😂 Thought it was some animal making noise at the start of the video but it was someone snoring I guess😂😂
Ahhh this hurts man !!! dont ever say that again. I am a singaporean who dont think Malaysia is cheap it is just that our money is slightly more.. Malaysia is really really expensive..even more expensive if singaporeans come n patronise..tak jadi arr nak subscribe your channel
Wow best gila trip Liangnoy Jun ni But u very naughty show me the delicious 'charsiew' which i tak boleh makan(just joking) Only 400m+ elevation gain + 2-3 hours later Liangnoy Jun already easily 'conquer' 2232m Maragang, which is higher than my 2187m that require 3 days (15 hours++) strenuous hike to submit
