This video and photos were taken during our recent trip to Batang Ai. The visit was awesome and really reconnect us to the root. The place is so remote that it can only be accessed by water using a longboat. It took about 20 min ride to reach the nearest longhouse. Further upstream to Sepaya, took us another half an hour. There we enjoy the cold river and traditional Ijok drink. Click on my blog to read more.

Sabahan & Sarawakian who come here in Peninsular to work were often asked " how long have u been to Malaysia?"...the average society (Malay,Chinese & Indians" don't really take these Borneo people as their countrymen although they are actually citizens of Malaysia by the country's law...some,actuall most of them in the local society directly take them as foreigners same class with the Indons,Myanmars etc ...
