In May this year,during the Tudong ritual,23 buddhist monk from Thailand walked accros the country to Borobudur.They walked two months to get there.They were very happy when they arrived there.Borobudur is huge. There is a mitos that if you can touch Buddha's head through the hole in the bell( you named it), you will get a very good life / good luck. It's really unbelievable. During the 9th century, they could build such kind of temple.Without machines or modern tools, the temple/structure looks so perfect.I couldn't imagine how they did it 🤔🤔

This temple has a height of more than 35 meters and an area of 15,000 square meters Built on the orders of King Samaratungga of the Syailendra Dynasty, the Ancient Mataram Kingdom in 824 AD and completed during the time of Queen Pramudawardhani, 825 AD In 1991, UNESCO recognized and designated Borobudur Temple as a world cultural heritage site. 2) Prambanan Temple It is the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia. This temple, which is also known as Rara Jonggrang, is dedicated to Trimurti - the 3 main Hindu Gods - namely Lord Brahma as the creator God, Lord Vishnu as the guardian God and Lord Shiva as the God of destruction. It is strongly suspected that it was built around the middle of the 9th century AD by King Balitung Maha Sambu from the Sanjaya Wangsa Kingdom. This assumption is based on the contents of the Syiwagrha Inscription (in Sanskrit, Syiwagrha means "Shiva's House") which was found around Prambanan and is currently kept in the National Museum in Jakarta. This inscription dated 778 Saka (856 AD), was written during the reign of Rakai Pikatan. Prambanan Temple is also a UNESCO world heritage site and at the same time one of the most beautiful and grandest temples in Southeast Asia

As a domestican tourist I can confirm your curiosity about architecture from Prambanan and Borobudur was built in the past is really amazing. The rocks was not using any cement to connect every part. Just only rock meet a rock. Both of this temple was part of Javanese kingdom history. And Javanese tribe is number 1 populated in Indonesia following by Sundanese Bataknese, Malayanese . As Sundanese we have another Building was established during prehistorical era like pyramid in Egypt called "Situs Gunung Padang"😮. Hope you will react this in the future.❤
