Boroughbridge to Ripon - Inflatable Kayak - Freein SUP-kayak -
Having done Boroughbridge to York and with a view to one day doing Ripon to York, I decided to check out the stretch of the River Ure between Boroughbridge and Ripon. I took the Freein SUP-kayak with the Hiqmar eFin fitted as a paddle assist. I've done a separate video about how the eFin performed in this craft.

Hi Karl, Thanks for showing us, your local paddling waters. You can’t beat local knowledge. Videos containing any of the following; paddling day trips, food/cooking, overnight camps/multi-day trips, kit reviews etc are right up my street. I had the same problem with my C-Tug trolley on certain kayaks ie the rubbing of the kayak or pads on the wheels. Last year I switched from the pads, to the 20” Hull Rails, for the kayak I had the problem with. Not cheap for just the rails, but it was worth every penny. Are you aware of these rails? Why not reach out to C-Tug UK to do a channel review on them, showing the Pro’s and con’s? Ps I’ve not forgotten your kind invite to your paddling group and contacting you. I’m just a tad busy at present. Thanks Stay safe

Hi Karl. Some advice if pos. My wife and I, plus dog , plan on spending a few days in Ripon, and during out time there, we plan doing the Ripon to Linton stretch of the Ure in our Kayak. I wonder if you could tell me a good parking spot, near to a good launching point at that location?. We are pretty much new to the hobby, which is why we chose the above route. Also, can we obtain a day to day licence for our time on the water. Cheers bud.👍

Hi there I've actually still to launch from Ripon itself so I'm clueless as to where best to start. I've only ever paddled from either Boroughbridge or Westwick Lock.

I recently got a Hiqmar e-fin after seeing it in yours and David Wilsons videos, and I'm really liking it a lot 😊 but I notice that it does pull the kayak to the left a bit, especially when at full speed, is yours like this?

It does in the Chelan and I think in the Ottawa. Not so noticeable with this one though. Do you have your cable over the left or right side of the boat? I think it might be due to drag from that 😊
