$90K cables had better perform--because there are some artisanal makers who are making some kick sss stuff right now...at prices that are fractions of that number! These guys probably should NOT do a shoot out with any of those artisanal makers, or consider coming away with egg on their face! Like the poster above stated, maybe technology for the speaker can drive a price point of $100K, although according to a well known speaker manufacturer, even that price is a 'thumb suck' number that these guys came out with! But the cables...no!

Totally agree, 90k for a pair of speaker cables is completely nuts! But 100k for some booksshelves is borderline, too. I have heard the Borresen Z1 cryo 2 week ago, the price tag is significantly more "family friendly" and they sound very very good! But to be honest, I have KEF R3 at the moment, I could easily afford the Borresens, but I am not sure the juice is worth the sqeeze... BTW. In some houses, it will make the difference between "yes let's buy them, they are beautiful" and "no, too big, too bulky". If you are really rich why not? There's a market for everything. Everybody would say "are you joking?". But Audiophiles say "oh, there's so much technology, the price seems justified!". The software is not topology... the process for designing that unique shape is called topological optimization. For topological optimization, people define constraints including but not limited to what the overall size is, where holes are (for the screws), and how stiff (in terms of stiffness"es" in different directions) they want the holder to be, and the computer will do trial and error (for different shape designs) to generate a shape that meets all the constraints while minimizing the materials they use. The major cost is the fabrication but not the design itself. I might be wrong, but I would argue that this holder might not be as stiff as those traditional holders because based on its shape I suspect they are minimizing the weight of the holder while keeping the stiffness to be just a little beyond what's necessarily needed. Also, the seemingly fancy shape attracts more buyers.
@user-fy4gx5ue4v
@user-fy4gx5ue4v Год назад
My bad... there is software for parametric modeling called Topologic... but I would still argue the necessity for using such a shape which costs way more than what's necessarily needed...

LOL I'll stick with looking at the Klipsch Nines. Kinda curious how they compare to spending roughly the same on some giant speakers though? I would think the soundstage width & depth of a $80-100,000 pair of 7ft+ speakers couldn't be matched by bookshelf speakers, no matter how good. P.S. 3D printing parts makes manufacturing easier, cheaper & less time consuming for the maker of a product therefore these should be much cheaper because of the basket, not more expensive. Gotta call out industry BS when I see it.
@matthewyih3302
@matthewyih3302 Год назад
They never said 3D printing is expensive, just so it's possible to build it with zirconium for their designed structure. And nah, larger speakers don't give you more soundstage (as long as both are proper full-range system), generally just more dynamic and punch. Try any Borresen (or Raidho/TAD for that matter) bookshelfs, I wouldn't compare any Klipsch to them...

I would never buy his products as they are so overpriced, even the basic speakers are so expensive.

The speaker cable price tag makes these speakers somewhat affordable! If you need to get such speaker cables to make the most of your speakers, something's very wrong with your product to begin with!

You would need to be very wealthy, very convinced you wouldn't sell on and no room for larger speakers, erm wait if you can spend $100k on bookshelf speakers you probably have the room. I do think they sound good but they need to be 1/10th of the price
@Peter-ii4xq
@Peter-ii4xq Год назад
Why developpe such small speakers? Low frequencies need more room. That's just physics. And the speaker stands also needs space. So better build a floor standing speaker. For a way less money there are much better speakers you can buy. It's from the book: expensive is better.

This is not worth that type of money your could buy your own 3d printer and make your own for much less even $500.00 People are getting too highly minded of what they are worth themselves . I like your channel but this is not acceptable as good audio products way overpriced period.
