Alexi, the documentary style is brilliant & it sets your channel apart from everyone else the more & more you lean into it. reminds me of so many shows that i grew up watching from the 80’s, 90’s & early 2000’s. hard to believe your content can get any better but it always seems to do that every time.
shows what power to weight ratio really counts for. look at the massive difference, 4wd and 2wd aside, Just the power difference is massive alone. People under estimate "weight".
@@crisnmaryfam7344 yeah that's why r35s never beat s2000s or rx7s at gunsai. Weight, center of gravity, etc really matters. But for a 1.7 ton car, r35 is still very impressive...
this was so well done. please dont stop the "vlog" style vids as i love japan and its good to still get the culture and experience it as i did when i travelled there but a monthly recap in this style would be cherry on top.
Since you said you did some video work alongside photographing cars in the past, are we gonna see "Going into the Noriyaro Archives" every so often? Plz?
I kinda like the new format, makes it short sweet and to the point. The vlog style stuff was really fun too, but this is way more densely packed. Hopefully the vlog stuff isn't phased out, I'd like to see more of both formats
I love the GR 86. It looks so stable, predictable and planted. What a great car. Also, thanks for showing us the old Kei Office. It's tucked away in such a beautiful part of Japan. Then again, most of Japan has beautiful scenery.
Loving the short trivia/history lesson. Really fun and I don't know how to put it into words but it gives me a warm and butterfly feeling inside. Like that small footnote on a page that most people overlook but is interesting. So do keep it up! Love the vlog/raw style no fancy editing or cinematography. Feels more real, like a video your cousin shows you over a night at his house. Sets you apart.
Don't know if i'll ever forget the fact that Kei Office exists/existed. Kazama was one of my favourite drivers in D1, It always puts a smile on my face when I see him in a video being his crazy self.
This was fun, thanks. Happy to hear you liked the GR Yaris. I may be betraying Toyota with not buying the GR86 but I plan to keep a long and faithful relationship with my GR Yaris!
@@biggrocc19 You guys are getting the GR Corolla, which doesn't look bad at all. I feel, like the Yaris would probably feel a bit lost on many US roads. And I already spoke to a few people that were hoping that we'll get the Corolla in Europe :D I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. And I think all three of the mentioned GR cars are great value.
This is great. I'm all for regular content that can be a variety of interesting things you've done recently. You've got a good track record for making quality videos so I doubt that'll change even in this format!
to turn the ESP off all the way in the yaris you gotta hold the button until the "expert" text disappears next to the mode text, but all the funny lights stay on. Makes a massive difference in the way you can drive it over the limit, otherwise there is basically constant intervention
I think it's great format, basicaly summary of the month, great narration with the a little introduction before every material and commentary after material like the one with buying Yaris GR. Keep up the good work my man!
Oooof, I'm barely 90 seconds in and I LOVE this Top Gear-style format!! Really nice way of bringing together various events footage and the voiceover segments are awesome!
Really awesome format, I love the fact that we get to see a bit of what you see, and what you find interesting. All in all, nice video, GJ for the 1st place!!
Love this video format Alexi! Super entertaining and really informational all through out, I'd love to see more videos with this format in the future in addition to your regular stuff, great video as always!
Alexi, What a brilliant video! You normally set the standard for automotive RU-vid but this is even better! Thanks for the effort and please keep on going!
One thing I like about your channel is youact like a normal guy that wants to show us cool stuff. Don't go over board with professional editing or getting to egotistical. Keep doing it the way you are.
I like this 👍. I think it's an excellent use of interesting things you see that don't provide enough for a solo video. You should definitely keep doing these.
My '97 Tommy Kaira M20b has BBS RGRs on it, clad with 215/35 R18s on it. When the tyres are new, there is 37 mm from the rims to the asphalt. I've got the 4-pot Brembos on the front, and the Version 8 twin-pot brembos on ventilated discs at the back. Stops well. Turns quickly with a fast rack: 2-turns lock to lock. :)
Hey Alexi! I really like this style. I always find your videos super engaging. The attention to the history of people, areas and all surrounding context is really awesome. Also super jealous you got to track a GR Yaris. Chur from New Zealand!
i love the style of the segment where you show off the HKS gr86 (and the similar one you did on the Probox); its rlly informative and makes me feel like im in an old Forza (or even gran turismo with the music and shots lol) game where one of the Top Gear presenters would explain the cars history to you. overall i really like this new format, i wouldnt mind seeing more vids like it!
This sort of tv format is actually a genius idea for your content, it´ll make it so much easier for you to plan, edit and get it out more consistently than just making one off videos, plus it might even cater to a larger audience viewscount-wise given the subject of the videos isnt so specific.
Thanks! Ever since playing the Shutokou Battle Drift King for the PS1 way back when, my dream would be to own a S14 with the full Kei Office specifications.
I love this style as an addition to the full length event videos! Perfect intro, perfect voice over for the GR86 introduction! 😁 Eager to see what will become of the ProSucc 😀 Somewhat related, I took my 1NZ manual FunCargo for inspection yesterday. Turns out it needs rust work 😅 In addition the clutch bearing needs replacing, the cat might be bad and it's got some irritating electrical issues... My enthusiasm is fading, seeing as my daily is also broken.
Oh yes, i can definitely say i prefer this way. Show us everything; the 15s clips of a nice view you saw while stoping for a break on a trip, the 2s clips of you laughing at a car on the street or drift videos as reference, your old footage is like MSG to the overall... make it visual. You always make up interesting content so use any mean to visualize your thoughts.
I want to see the original Kei Office building restored, preserved, and turned into an 80/90s time capsule and Tsuchiya museum. Probably won't happen, but man would it be cool if it did.
