Nick literally said that in his Chapter review/reaction. He wasn't home it wasn't his usual content and I doubt he had time to sit and properly think. It was his gut check reaction. As is the reason most of the theories are about Naruto. It was thoughtless gut reaction.

Shinki is the obvious and easy answer, though it being Naruto with Naruto not being bitten but just trapped in the daikokuten could have astronomical meaning, ie the Daikokuten potentially being directly linked to the 10 tails in some way. And also since that would confirm a future 6th Shinju in Hinata. But we also don't need 2 Shinju primarily going after Boruto/Himawari, so again, Shinki is the easy answer

Boruto should of had short hair like minato and naruto not long hair. Ninjas like Mitsuki, shikadai, Sasuke and Itachi have long hair because of their dads
All that naruto blood spilt and kuramas chakra absorbed together upon his death, the planet absorbed it, God trees roots have gotten to it and now the thorn soul is being created, without any original vessel being absorbed. This would work very similarly to jura. Jigen or ishiki blood and chakra fuse on death, being absorbed by the tree.
How is this even a question? Its been established that to be a shinju you need to be bitten and get turned into a tree (other than jura who just seems a special case). We know for a fact naruto is still frozen in time inside kawaki's dimension and has been since before the time skip, it was literally one of the first things we saw after the time skip as kawaki was paying him a visit Also how would he even be revived in baryon mode? The whole point of the mode was it was burning away his life force at an alarming rate. Even with kurama who had the majority of power from the fully grown 10tails could only sustain the form for a few minutes at best. Suddenly the main downside is null and void? Yeah right...

Theory. Same thing happened to kurama what if the energy from baryon mode was absorbed by the tree? Maybe it was born like jura. Since the kashin koji reveal about 10 paths what if the butterfly effect comes into play and in this time path there walking the mixing of the chakra of Naruto and kurama in baryon mode was absorb into a soul thorn. We have no bases to go on where it’s skhinki. There’s more evidence to support that it’s Naruto/kurama like. It’s not Naruto. It’s the combined chakra of Naruto and kurama into a wood clone shinju. The story would have gone so crazy if the shinju got into the dimension took naruto and now there is Sasuke and Naruto shinju with Jura heading them. Would be more menacing then Akatsuki
Another thing that points away from this being Naruto is the fact that Naruto is Jura's target. Jura is the leader, the strongest. That was confirmed in this chapter. What claw grime is going to defy Jura, target Naruto, find out that Naruto is in Isshiki's dimension and force Kawaki to use his dojutsu to let them in there? Kawaki would rather die than let that happen. Besides, let's say Kawaki has gone soft, gets tortured, tells them where Naruto is and let's them in there, why would he then let them back out? Wouldn't this claw grime be stuck in stasis, just like Naruto and Hinata? It just doesn't make sense for it to be Naruto.
I think it's Shinki, because of the design and the fact some Code's claw marks was near Kara hideout in the Land of Wind however I may be wrong. We'll see 👀

Nah, it looks too much like shinki anyways. But also i have a theory that the new shinju won’t be shinki either, it’ll be Gaara. However i do admit that my reasoning for why is pretty small 😂 so in the panel that we see shinju shinki, Matsuri’s head tails are set in a different position from the one that we know. Which should mean that timeline was just slightly different from the main one. Also i think it would be a cool parallel to have the only other character that Naruto considered a brother almost as much as sasuke in gaara be the next shinju. This act would also force shinki into becoming Kazekage earlier than he probably wants exactly like gaara when he became kazekage. Plus paralleling his relationship with Boruto and their desires to protect their respective villages. Probably a flimsy theory but i think it could be pretty interesting

Idk how people think it's Naruto when we've seen how the Shinju are born and Naruto is trapped in a dimension where he can't be bit by a claw grime It's clearly Shinki and hopefully we hear about it from Gaara in future chapters.
Speaking about it: i think we should talk about that panel in latest chapter. Since we saw shinki appear in one of the alternate realities that kashin koji foresaw and at the end of the chapter a new seed was harvested. Does that mean that boruto being arrested led to kashin kojis alternate reality becoming true unless something changes with borutos situation? Or is shinkis coming happening in all other realities anyway?

When I first saw that new Shinju I immediately thought it was Naruto because of the Baryon mode eye markings. But now I definitely see that a Shinki shinju is a high possibility lol. I honestly hope it’s a Naruto shinju because it would just be cool to see this evil version of Naruto against his son. Kishimoto is cooking right now ngl. I still think its shinki. Its kind of random to have shinki as a shinju. But i guess its a good way to bring in other characters into the story like garra.
Shinki iron sand with code claw mark will be a promblem the only thing holding the shinju back is iq and battle iq with the exception of jura since there new born . But a mitsuki and metal Lee vs shinju shinki would be tough and save Rock lee 8 gates for when borutoshiki gets unleashed .
my first thought was definitely Shinki when I saw the panel. Naruto did not even cross my mind lol I def think there was some infiltration in the sand village in trying to find Boruto's hideout. All of the breadcrumbs and hints have been laid out for this to be suspected, but excited to see how things actually unfold.

I think jura sent for Shinki as a power move to amp his crew up .i stand by this .that’s why he was only seen with hidari this whole time .bug was hunting shinki and moege was gathering intel on boruto .there operating very smart
Thinking the combo of Kojis power, your explanation and how things can change, I think it’s someone totally new. Not sure who but I think with things changing they wasn’t expected probably produce a new enemy.
I agree that it may likely be Shinki, unless they possible outcome that Koji saw doesn't happen and it is a different charater, but I think it needs to be a character from outside Kara or Konoha. We need to bring the rest of the ninja world back into the Shinju conflict and TBV. So a Shinki Shinju would bring Gaara and the Hidden Sand back atleast.

Man this is good writing we have a cliff hanger for Inojin and now boruto's Arrest (which we know shikamaru will try getting Intel from) and now shinki (how did he become shinju and gaara's reaction on it)
That may not be shinju Naruto but thats how Naruto hair cut should have looked as Hokage. Koji on his doctor strange, Zoro vs Lady Tenten is a wild versus battle and this chapter explains a lot of how things led up to the timeskip which was cool. I wonder what Code is up to 🤔
Yeah, I think for me the whole thing about Snoke wasn’t the problem. The writers not having a plan who the boss is that’s problem ,but I get your point with the Snoke thing. That people building up in their heads and then being a letdown.
Boruto, Kawaki, the rest of team 7, Himawari and team 10 are going to have to power up quickly. I can see some of them going to Amado for ninja tech. They need extra powers to combat the Shinjus abilities. Codes claw mark + rinnegan is broken. Can Boruto and Kawaki use karma seal to absorb Bijuu bombs?
I believe jura is a shinju born of the otsutsuki whos name was scratched off at the ten tails lair. I believe this was the otsutsuki who was fed to the ten tails to create the chakra fruit. For some unknown reason it wasnt able to come back through katma, and has now been reborn as jura
If he was able to he would've done it when he fought against kawaki, also the shinjus space time jutsu works like flying rajin they would have to have a claw mark in that dimension in order to teleport to it.

I seriously though and still sort of think that it's a red herring, like the whole chapter built up the idea of things that could come to pass, so I thought that was just showing an alternate future where naruto became a shinju...i have a tiny feeling that that Kishimoto will flip the script and have a totally different shinju altogether

I don't think anyone has noted yet that each person who caused a Shinju is distinct from one another. Mamushi's progenitor Bug most likely was also a cyborg, Matsuri's Moegi had yin-yang release and was able to access the wood release Kekkei Genkai and Hidari, and the prescience Shinki's progenitors both have Kekkei Genkai. I don't think that's a coincidence

The biggest clue is that they had that seed prior to the altercation with hima. That means that if jura thought he was looking for naruto he would have to be very stupid since naruto wouldve already been devoured...so it definitely isnt naruto...

People should remember there are multiple futures and way more than what we’ve seen from Koji. We were not shown any character at the end. There’s a reason why we were shown a possible future with a new shinju shown but at the end of the chapter we were not shown who the shinju is. Everybody is jumping the gun.
I feel like they need to make Gai and Lee into Shinju, now that would be scary AF. Imagine Shinju power up + eight gates. It would add another meaning to spring time of youth.
