Only problem with that line is it's BS. If Itachi didn't fight Naruto, who he just so happened to give the crow with Shisui's eye to, then Itachi remain just a puppet of Kabuto. It's not like he planned to be revived and fight Naruto. Basically, his "flex" has nothing to do with himself, and more just a coincidence of good fortune. And considering he initially tried to fight Kabuto alone, it definitely would have backfired in the end.

The moment naruto and kurama paired up and naruto released the seal, naruto had 100% access to his chakra without worry, which in itself is an immediately insane power buff taking away kurama's contribution

The greatest flex is when the village refuses to tell Pain anything and actively fights it to the death. Nagato thought he could just do his casual invasion and the entire village pulled up to deny his flex.
Madara's high speed eyes while the scene is in slow mo is one of my favorite sequences in anime. Genius way to show the true power of a mastered sharingan

It wasn't the leaf village, it was a nearby village. Naruto was heading out to find Tsunade and train Rasengan, he was in a hotel, and that's where he encountered Itachi. Itachi did walk into the leaf village fearlessly at one point, but that was before he found Naruto and it led to his fight vs the 4 named Jounin.
Honorabke mention to Madara, after being very nearly sealed away, busting out a full body Susano'o, declaring "don't worry, it gets MUCH better!!" and upgrading it to a Perfect Susano'o, slicing a mountain range in half with a single sword swing, and only THEN asks the Kage "what adult uses their full power on mere children?" I honestly dont think Sasuke's MS was straining to keep up, I think that just like his first fight with Lee he can SEE the attacks but he himself is too slow to react to them. You can see his eyes following each of the blades as it moves but they still hit him.
Naruto stopping Orichiamru's snake summon in front of Sasuke and calling him a scaredy cat after all the high and mighty attitude we'd gotten from the Uchiha since episode 1 was the first to come to mind and huge for the moment at the time in the storyline. Also, Madara having all top 3 moments in this video is no surprise. It's the reason he was inducted into the "Black Air Force Energy" squad of anime characters in the first place lol
Kishimoto was really on one when he wrote Madara in the war. There was no reason for him to make Madara as broken as he did. He had to have the other characters go through many broken jutsus just to be on par with him. As a result, he really struggled to contain the power levels during the war.
The whole problem with the war arc is that there was basically no challenge. Sasori took up almost two whole books in his fight with Sakura and Chiyo, and gets taken out in like 2 chapters in the war. Madara was the first person who actually felt like a real threat. And while he definitely flourished, it eventually became tiring to me. If he had gone out with the other reanimated shinobi and left undefeated and OP it would have been fine, but he just kept going and going and it got old.
yeah the war had bad writing but I loved it that way and it was quite cool and EPIC yes I used that word. The war was like a giant masturbation to how epic the village of the leaf is and all the HoKage are. All others characters are just noobs barely strong enough to fight against old decrepit women. Actually the Tsuchikage handidly dealt with Madara's 5 clones by fighting smart and weighing them down. He then went on to help others but loses after that. Madara did acknowledge him as the only true threat among the 5.

Honorable mention: Pain pulling up to the strongest village in the verse, turning it into a crater killing some of the strongest people in the verse, and then no diffing naruto in not only the strongest form we had seen him in at that time (sage mode), but then fought on equal footing with every tail of the strongest jinchuriki's chakra cloak, whose tailed beast was the strongest tailed beast in the verse.
What is even more insane is that he acted like he was just taking a walk in the woods but he was razing the strongest village and trying to get the strongest jinchuriki.

Honorable mention: When Kisame captured team Guy and fought Might Guy with a clone that had 30 % of his chakra. Bro took on TWO users of the hidden lotus and a Jonin possessing the Byakugan in its purest form and not only captured them but made Might Guy open the sixth gate and use Morning Peacock to stop a clone with just under a third of his actual strength. That's insanity 😭🤣

Fun fact about Bee vs Taka: Killer Bee is shown to be far away from the battlefield after clowning Taka and killing Sasuke twice. There's no reasonable explanation for why Bee was so far away and unaffected, other than team Taka was getting bodied by a clone the entire time. Go check it out for yourselves. He never sustained major damage until Jugo hit him with the rocket arm assault, so it makes perfect sense to me.

Definitely not the greatest flex, but Zabuza mowing down dozens of hired thugs with two broken arms, worn out from his fight with Kakashi, with nothing but a kunai in his mouth is a pretty solid flex imo.
I really liked how Itachi was sitting on a chair watching Sasuke and then proceeded to ask him how much he could actually see. I mean Sasuke had been so proud of his sharingan. It was really a great flex.

I would say the fight between Neji and hinata is a honorable flex from neji, since from the beggining Neji was telling hinata to give up, told exatcly what she was thinking at the start, basically showing their difference in power, he then proceeds to fight her in what it looks like an even fight, with hinata actually hitting the first hit, but only to be later revealed that neji was the whole fight hitting hinatas chakra points one after the other without her even noticing to then going to Neji almost killing her in the end, needing 4 Jonins to stop him, Kiba said Neji would destroy hinata, neji played with her emotions, to then show to everyone the difference in ability at that time, might not be one of the greatest flexes in naruto, but sure one that deserves to be mentioned

I'm always confused on why people say Itachi turning out to be a good guy is a retcon. I understand the flashbacks that delved deeper into what happened that night only happened during Shippuden but Itachi was always a relative unknown anyways. Beyond the fact, that "he wanted to test his limits" we knew nothing about him.
