Bevore disassembling: try to clean the channels on the left and/or right side from inside the washer: open the channel covers, clean by hand/finger, bottle brush and then with a sharp water jet from a hose. Worked for me - E7 was gone, it saved a lot of work, as seen in this video.
Always have the appliance turned off when working on it, and set your multimeter to ohms Ω There are so many different types of dishwashers out there, so I suggest doing a search for your particular model and the error code. You can usually find the model number near the top on the inside of the door
Thank you for your video's about the Bosch dishwasher. I was looking before, for my problem with it but I still don't understand: The programs ends most of the times with a error. Mostly E7 and sometimes E9. Lots of time, the dish is not clean(!) and a lot of times, the dishes is not dry. I thought, he didn't warm up but sometimes, it looks like the dishes are still a little warm. And I have another really stupid thing with my machine: The functions of the right 3 buttons in front, controlls the signs of the left side, and vice-versa. I know, because when I touch the Variospeed button, the display says "24h" (exactly the button from 'the other side'). I tried to dismantle the door to easily change out the wires on the PCB but I couldn't because of the prefab plugs. It didn't fit the other way around. So I have two questions. 1: All these problems, can they also be the result of a kind of mainboard or motherboard or something? Don't know much about dishwashers (thats clear wit a machine like mine ;) ) but I would like to try to fix it though but changing parts out, not knowing if they are broken, is maybe wasting money. And 2: I saw more of your video's with different Error codes and what you do is meassure. Do I understand it right that you say: When two pins, give no resistance, than thát part is broken? And does it have to give a "0" then? Measuring the ohms. Thank you very much. Hope to hear from you.
Wow ok. 1 have you had this dishwasher from new and did the problems only start recently? If it's been opened before then it's possible someone has messed up something. The button functions would be controlled by some kind of logic but I don't know exactly how or where this is located - could be different from model to model. 2 when measuring resistance with the multimeter, an open circuit means there is no connection between the probes so it will be infinite resistance (usually displayed as a 1 on the multimeter). On the other hand a closed or short circuit will measure close to 0. When measuring heater coils or motor pumps you will usually get a reading of under 100ohms. Obviously always be sure the machine is unplugged before taking any resistance measurements
