I just got mine. My wife wants some pallet furniture made, but I recently got fitted with a pacemaker, so sawing by hand tires me out. Great review, and you've got subscriber 479. Cheers, marra 👍🏻
Hi there thank you for watching, glad to hear you got one. I’ve made a jig for it too (there’s a video too in my videos). Can honestly say I have used it hundreds of time with amazing accuracy. Have a look online there’s pallet wood available in strips, some as cheap as 50p a board (here in Birmingham) Take care mate and be safe Kind regards Minhass
@@TheCustomCarpenter I'm high up here in Northumberland. I get American pallets for free, not ideal, but they're workable. Like I said, I had a pacemaker fitted. I was an engineer with npower, but got paid off after being diagnosed with heart failure, then having a heart attack. Gas ignition and electro magnetic waves don't work well with pacemakers. I've gone back to working with wood, as in my school days, but still dabble with electricity, making steampunk lamps, and hopefully can start a career selling stuff I make.
@@thegeordieweatherman8460 Hi, I grew up in Sunderland. Depends on the look you’re going for I guess, sometimes pallets are perfect for what you have in mind. I’ve never dabbled in electrics, I would like to know the basics though. Those lamps are really cool, I’ve been wanting one for a while. Some amazing designs on Instagram. Hoping you’re well and sending nothing but best wishes your way. Kindest regards Minhass
@@TheCustomCarpenter Most of the drummers I've played with over the years are Sunderland lads....I don't know why,...but we've had some of the best north east bands in the last 30 years - RU-vid Sleeze Sisters -Tall ships. I was a smart meter engineer before my heart attack, so I've got electricity in my veins. Some of my copper pipe lamp builds would look good mounted on wood, so I'm hoping i can go back to my passion woodwork, and combine the two.
Thanks for the review mate. Considering this one vs the makita HS7601J.. how would you say the bosch would perform if I want to rib through a hardwood block say about 4cm thick?
Hi there, thank you for watching. Funny you say that as I was torn between the same two. I’ve not used the makita but did get a good look and hold of it in B&Q, felt well built. The Bosch is heavier and would cut through pretty much alll hardwoods with ease. I’d recommend another blade too with more teeth for the extra smooth finish.
I rekon you’ll be happy with either of the two, I use the Bosch for like a couple hours every other day in my crosscut jig and it’s effortless. Do let me know what you decide with please. 👊🏽
Got the bosch today. Went to local HW store to check them out. Pretty similar machines also as per the experts there. The bosch one just felt better to hold in my hands
Thosr circular saws are tops especially with adjustable blade height, I like bosch tools because they put them in hard cases saves the tools getting damaged, I've just bought a load of bosch tools, planer, drill, circular saw, jigsaw, mini belt sander and router cost a pretty sum but will out last me and all came in hard cases, have a new house that needs some serious work, i used to rent tools when i needed them but with the volume of work i do now thought it was time to get my own.
Hi, thank you for watching and commenting. Oh wow sounds like you got a good collection of tools there. The hard boxes are just brilliant and can take a beating. Good luck with the house mate. Regards Minhass
Hi, I’m sorry to hear that, it might be a different model maybe? Maybe it’s different factories around the world making them 🤷🏽♂️. Kind regards Minhass 👊🏽
@@TheCustomCarpenter I am pretty sure that the model is same. U can check on RU-vid India unboxing. Plus they don't come with an auxiliary handle and a dust suction pipe which to me are very important. But thanks so much for Ur response 🙏✌️
Thank you for watching and commenting buddy, well, if you go about life with good intentions and morals alongside a can do attitude taking the occasional calculated risk and oh yea pay attention in school then fingers crossed you’ll be just as tall one day 👊🏽
Hi Thomas, thanks for watching and commenting. Apologies you weren’t a fan of the commentary. I try to explain everything as best as possible. Kind regards Minhass
