We let the smoke out on this BOSCH GSB18V-1330C High Torque 1/2" Hammer Drill Driver. Not only do you get 1,330 in-lbs of torque, but you also get electronic features not seen on other drills. The anti-kickback feature shuts the drill down when it moves too quickly. Also, the angle feature displays a green light when you reach the preset angle.

The Ingersoll Rand 114GQC Air Hammer ru-vid.comUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS was just the tool I needed. I Use it to remove stuck bolts. If held at the right angle you can cut slightly into the bolt. Then turn the air hammer to where it will hammer the stuck bolt to unspin the bolt. Given a little practice it works great. This air hammer gives you the control needed to get the job done right. Very powerful yet still does not seem to have as much vibration as other guns I have used. One of the best I have gotten my hands on.

That's a brand new drill and he was pushing extremely hard. That little bit of smoke was probably excess oil being burnt off. No big deal.

On other channels I've seen this drill go toe to toe with the new Milwaukee drill and DeWalt 999. Bosch's best drill to date.

It's definitely a great drill. I was surprised that the Driver mode wouldn't drive the screws further on the MAX clutch setting, but it did great with power. Thanks for watching.

Sometimes i hate to talk about it But too much pressure on highspeed mode even with High torque drill was still not something that good I know it just a stress or hardcore or even the Medium test for drill But in Realife some times it doen't need to operate the tool at the highspeed just to get the jobs done quickly cause it can break your drill anytime
@Shoptoolreviews
@Shoptoolreviews Год назад
Agreed, it makes more sense to deliver the power in Low and get the job done consistently. However, everyone wants to know how much power, and how fast it is, in High. Thanks for watching.

I hate to see the material worked on wobble (along with the vise). When I am working on something, whether drilling, sawing, sanding or whatever, if my material shakes and wobbles, I figure out how to secure it better.

With spade bits I use the hammer drill mode, or just use a impact driver to keeps that twist at the end of the hole from twising the drill.

This drill makes the operator look bad (I’m assuming it’s the drill), but it looks like you are applying too much pressure which is why you keep slipping off the screw head and torquing your wrist when the bit jams. I’ll blame the drill

The bigger the hole the slower the speed you should drill at.
@justlookin4450
@justlookin4450 Год назад
You should never use high speed when driving large fasteners. Also you’re using the drill mode instead of using the screw mode. Drill mode is for drilling not for screwing fasteners,especially larger ones. That’s why you were getting smoke from the drill. You are straining the motor. Something it was not designed for.

so many other high torque and low torque hammer drills completed his vids without smoking or damaging, lol
@engineer_alv
@engineer_alv Год назад
@@haroldjones12 If it got damaged it wouldn't have done any more testing or at least show diminished performance. Low torque drills won't sink a 7" screw in speed 2. Many high torque drills can sink 8" wood screws in speed 2, though. It was definitely a bad showing but you can't base the driving capabilities of a tool based only on speed 2 when we all know full torque is only available on speed 1. Moreover his testing varies significantly between drils. From screw size to bit size to speed selection, too many variables to tell if the same drills would do the tasks w/o smoking
@haroldjones12
@haroldjones12 Год назад
@@engineer_alv i said "smoking or damaging" referred to as the tool itself not working anymore, i didn't say anything about the tool being broken lol

I don't think I'd have been so generous about the fact that it started smoking on the third screw. If that had been my tool that I paid my own money for, It would be going back before you could say lickety split.
@Shoptoolreviews
@Shoptoolreviews Год назад
We do understand what you are saying. And, we would definitely recommend anyone that would purchase this and see smoke to take it back for a return. However, we wanted to be completely open about it, both showing that it smoked, but also that we never noticed a degradation in power or performance. We continued to use it after this testing, and we have yet to see any signs or trace of issues. Thanks for watching.
