The Bosch 12v brushless tools i have are high quality and surprisingly useful.

I agree I like both the Bosch 12v and 18v lineup as well. Bosch does a great job of not just copying other tools, they figure out a way to design them better.

Thanks. I actually ended up buying both sets to see which felt in my hand better without potential cramping. I am definitely returning the Milwaukee today, sucks cause I have multiple M12 tools and this would have been nice. I am going with the Bosch one... feels much better and the forward/reverse button is better than Milwaukee's and I have XL hands.

Yea I agree the Bosch definitely has the better overall feel and operation. Glad I was able to help.

These installation drivers are probably my favorite 12v tools. I used to have the milwaukee but ended up selling it and buying the dewalt. I do like the dewalt a lot more; it has a more comfortable grip and a good bit more powerful than the milwaukee. It's also a bit shorter with the 1/4" hex chuck attached; that's the one on it most of the time. If milwaukee makes a gen 2, I'd like to see it be shorter, a bit more power, and change to a traditional forward/reverse switch. I had no issues with it, it just takes some getting used to vs all my other drills. Thanks for the comparison!

100% agree I think there are some improvements Milwaukee could make for a gen2 but for the most part it's a solid drill. The forward/reverse takes time to get use to every time I use this tool as well. Maybe if I used every day would get use to but always find myself searching for the button. I really like this Bosch because of the size, but wish they made some of the attachments a little smaller and improved the light as its dim compared to the Milwaukee. Thanks for watching!

I own both of the sets. I use Bosch 99% of the time. I kept the Milwaukee because I got it for $114 and it's part of my M12 collection. Got the Bosch-300 for $99 on Amazon.

I also picked mine up from Amazon a few months ago for $99. It was too good of a deal to pass up!

I had both plus the Dewalt one. Sold the m12. Not comfy. Most of my tools are m12 or 12v xtreme, but only one Bosch. This definitely feels better in the hand and does what a 12v is supposed to do.

100% agree the Bosch is the clear winner in regard to overall balance and operation.

I think I saw this on video, where the guy would insert the installation driver on a carpenter's ladder, where these is a hole for power tools, and when he takes it off, the milwaukee/dewalt's chuck falls out, Bosch didn't. Also the offset chuck doesn't have anything to hold the bit other than a magnet.
@TeamDIYNow

Yea the Bosch does have a better locking mechanism to hold the attachments so I could see how that could happen on the Milwaukee.

I have both. Overall I like them both, but Each has a feature that annoys me for different reasons. M12 has the annoying forward and reverse switch. Bosch has a bit holder that requires two hands to insert and remove it. But you can use a bit extension with a single hand/click in bit holder, which adds some length but makes it better
@TeamDIYNow
@TeamDIYNow 7 месяцев назад
You are 100% right I don't like either of those features either! I honestly didn't think the Bosch bit holder would bother me at first, however after using it next to another Milwaukee drill its annoying. The forward/reverse switch on the Milwaukee they were trying too hard in my opinion, should have kept the tried-and-true forward/reverse.

I would probably buy that Bosch kit in an instant if we had these prices! Cheapest is around 320 USD here (Europe)

Wow $320 that's getting up there for a 12v drill! Luckily, we can buy for a fraction of that cost here in the US.

Love this tool. Can’t find a reason to get rid of it. Mind you, I only own a few Bosch 12v, but this one is a keeper.

I was hoping it would somehow activate the impact 'feature' when using that attachment..... but based on what you're saying it doesn't. for me, that's a deal breaker for me... had higher hopes i guess. Thanks for great video dude ! prob just stick to my dewalt 20v for edc...

I just bought the Bosch coming from a m12/18. I'm super pleased with it. I did end up buying the flat bottom Chinese knock off battery off Amazon for $20 so I could stand it upright
@TeamDIYNow
@TeamDIYNow 6 месяцев назад
The larger battery is typically what I use too as I prefer to sit my drills upright as well.

Really love that european manufacturers add funny names to their tools when selling in USA.

Especially when Bosch calls this 5-in-1 drill a Chameleon!

you should see how they re-named most of their BiTurbo 18V tools in North America. Not only BiTurbo is replaced by PROFACTOR here, there are specific cases like the SDS Max called Hitman, the Miter saw is Surgeon, the angle grinders are called Spitfire and the Circular Saw is called Strong Arm among others. The drill is missing a funny name, though.

Although I have the M12/M18 family of Milwaukee tools, the 4 in 1 (5 in 1) is the one of the few tools from Bosch which I prefer to use. Designed much better.

Yea I agree I also prefer the Bosch 5 in 1. I find myself using this drill more and more everyday as it has the perfect size and balance.

I’ve had both the bosch chameleon and the m12 installation driver and Bosch is better, if Milwaukee got rid of the front magnet and went with the regular reverse/forward button then I would go with Milwaukee but that reverse/forward button is a deal breaker, what were they thinking smh
@TeamDIYNow
@TeamDIYNow 8 месяцев назад
Yea I agree Milwaukee needs to figure out a way to remove that support bar in the front if there ever is a gen2.

Did Milwauke imitate the Festool installation drill which also has a bar in front of the handle?

I wasn't familiar with the Festool version; however I just looked it up and you're right they are nearly identical!

Yea its kind of a pain to get use to. I still like the tool, however if they got rid of the bar in the front and made the forward/reverse like all their other drills it would be great tool.
