I've honestly yet to experience this motor rattle on my Gen 4! I've heard a lot of talk about it, but one of my Cube Action Team bikes is tight at the crank; it doesn't shake about like Rob just showed in his Gen 5 video on Rob Rides. Maybe when it's had a beating on the trails, the bushes might wear, but right now, with 24 miles on it, nothing. The way Rob showed the difference with the cut-out models, there I'd be seriously concerned if it started knocking like that! But I think it's because it's been hammered down trails and worn. My new motor doesn't rattle, so the Gen 5 might start after a few good rides, definitely something I'll be watching and listening out for now.
Bosch Are Way Behind ,Gearbox in Motor is Whats Already Available With Pinion MGU So No Point Keep Churning out The Same Old Slightly Upgraded Old Tech,Why Dont They Get Friendly With Pinion As There Both German And Come to An Agreement About Having A Version in The Bosch Housing ????? Then We Wont Need To Keep Getting Videos Stating Here is The Bosch Gen6/7/8/9 All Hardly Any Better and Still Driving Old Tech at the Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This update is hardly Gen 5. More like Gen 4.1. This update would have been good had ZF, Pinion, and DJI not come out. This already looks like old news. They have to innovate super hard in the next months.

Thank you for an interesting video. I have a trek with the top tube display..it sucks not knowing range unless you open the app. I hope the display option can be retrofitted 🤞
All good the updates but has alot to live up to against the Gen 4 like i said I've yet to experience this rattle or knocking from the motor it is new 25 miles so not broke in and worn like what i think must be happening as my crank spindle doesn't rattle from the chainring through the motor that would concern me alot! But it is on my pre order cube 177 2025 for January so will see then but it's mostly the purion 400 i seen on bosch site im interested in as works with Gen 4
I have the purion 200 just now and it's getting annoying, every time i go to drop or raise my dropper im changing down modes on the purion 200 thinking its the dropper switch! Switched the bike off the other day doing it and near flew myself forward with the sudden stop 😂 it'll happen ha
