hi great video. I watched your video but I can't understand, take the + of the 5 volts and connect it to the green wire and the - negative where we connect it to pass the signal

That DC converter does use power so you will get unbalanced cells

that 2 pin port on the bms is for the can bus comms but did the batt work on the bike or brick the bms? in 8 years i have found only 2 companys that can recell packs one makes 3rd party bosch batts ebike vision germany and liofit also in germany that mod the bosch bms but wont tell me how for security reasons ffs and both end up costing more than a new bosch batt as i live in uk and no one can help over here.

all what i did there is only charger chack for battery. i just used normal 42v charger to charge like bosch charger would charge it. i didnot touched bms at comunication side to ebike.

bro help me , I was riding downhill, the battery fell off the bike and the exterior was badly damaged, it only works for 10 seconds and every 10 seconds it restarts again and so every time, mean like 10 seconds working ant 10 seconds not, and like this every time ! how i can fix it what happend

Check the battery on button, if it has any damage,

Nice hack! I still have a doubt concerning the +5v signal that sometimes could hire some security implications... 5 volt could be some standby voltage for the PMU board in the battery pack or a security precaution to avoid charger giving its output in certain condition. I ignore the schematic of a stock bosh charger but I'm curious to know if that "special" 3 pin plug and the 5 volt signal are just another dirty marketing strategy end nothing else...

they just tryng to make things less repairable. they dont want to anyone open or do something with their product. its not for security its only marketing thing to make money for their company.

I'm confused about the 5V line. Where is the Ground going too?

ground is on the bms already. u dont need it to put it somewhere else.

Hi which wire is contact 5v i have bleu yellow and green ...i tried with to connect bleu one with 5v but its not charging

Hi, Do you think I could get away with charging these batteries /400&500 versions/ with higher current than the max recommended /6a/ ? I’d like to charge them at 9A which is around 80% of the capacity so it shouldn’t hurt the pack in theory.

We want to add a solar panel on the bucket of our cargo bike, and connect that to the charging port. Any suggestions on how to get that working? With a 12V->42V step up converter?

hello, first of all i think that power from solar panel is so low, if its not too big.... plus when u are charging battery u cant use it at same time, at this point u need to have 2 battery, 1 in working stage and 1 charging while another one is in use. u will need to swap them time to time. give me more information, will give u more advice.

@@atelfix4553 By bike has a dual battery mount. It's a Bosch system on the Cube Cargo, no idea how it switches between the two batteries, maybe you can do an easy mod. And it does not have to be super efficient. I mean a stupid rain cover costs almost the same as a fitting solar panel.

In my case , i have problem with the BMS . I have replace it with a normal BMS but i have problem with these 3 wires because the bike didn't work
