So many choices! I bought 3 Flexvolt Impact Wrench kits recently for a final total cost each of $113. I keep them in my trucks to use when the occasion arises. They are the only Flex tools I own currently. I just have to remember to charge the batteries every so often. As always I appreciate your videos!
Bosch Tools NA is the most bizarre company I've ever seen. They have a couple great tools, but like every other power tool , better versions are available overseas.
that's because North America is not their biggest market. Just like Makita offering better tools overseas and Milwaukee/DeWalt not offering their best tools outside of North America. However from what I've seen Bosch is upping their game with a couple dozen releases this year alone. The last couple years have actually seen great tools being released and pretty much the same as their European counterparts. Case in point this Impact wrench is the same top tier 1/2" impact wrench they sell everywhere else. They have a 3/4 Impact wrench as well sold here as the 770
Newbie here, can someone clarify to me if changing the speed settings = changing torque amounts? Is it possible to set it low enough (via app) so that it can be used with a bit adapter and smaller bolts?
When you say “smaller bolts”, I would endeavor to understand why you’d buy a full size high torque impact wrench at all. If you look up the “torque” charts for the size of bolts you’re using, you’ll then have a rough estimate of what type of to and class of fastening power you’ll need. This tool is for the highest level of fastening and loosening. 700 foot lbs of torque could drive a 20” long by 1/2” thick screw through solid block of concrete. That being said, check the pdf of the manual to see if the level of torque is able to be calibrated. I doubt it can go lower than the slowest setting You would also need a chip installed into the tool itself that synchronizes via Bluetooth to a Bosch app on your smart phone to even access said theoretical adjustment setting. Again, look up how many foot pounds of torque are needed for the size of bolt, lag, or structural screw you’re trying to drive. If it’s far beneath this impact wrenches lowest setting, move down a notch and get a smaller impact driver.
