Hi, I have an issue with my Bosch VE pump, when I fastly let go of gas, rpm drop to idle, fluctuate for about 3 seconds and then even out. But when I am slowly letting go of gas, rpms do not fluctuate. Could it be the faulty overflow valve or bad o-ring gasket at overflow valve? I have already changed the fuel filter, so I´m ruling it out. Thanks a lot
This video from 1990 could have been way more captivating and realistic if they haved updated the 1930's commentator tone and the 1970's look of the technician. Plus, technicians who really work on these pumps do not wear white jackets and do not not have that clean finger tips.

Who cares if the guy has an outdated hairstyle! Did you understand the narrator? Did the video demonstrate the process? The answer to both questions is yes. Are you that much of an entitled child with no attention span that you need rainbow ponies and Billy Mays to narrate the video? Do you need Spongebob to demonstrate it for you to be "captivated"? Do you have special pronouns that I need to address you by?.... Seriously! I know technicians that wear white lab coats, they are the guys you want working on precision equipment, not some grimy slob. Just be grateful the official training information is available here for free.
@@tortron Easy to take it apart and reassemble it. It is a different story calibrating it to work correctly. The best you can hope for without a test bench and the spec sheet is to take lots of precise measurements before taking it apart and try to put everything back in the same positions. Without the special tools, it would be nearly impossible to get it 100% right.
@@tortron I never said it did. You are referring to the first comment, not mine. Re-read my comment and show me where I said it would take years to learn. I said it would be near impossible to get 100% right without the test bench, special tools and the spec sheet. The spec sheet is not available to the public, you would have to spend lots of time messing with the settings to get it dialed in the same as the Bosch calibration process. The TDI pumps are much more forgiving if you have the right scan tool. These old mechanical pumps rely on precise setups to work right.
