In this video i show and demonstrate the Bosch WAN28281GB 1400 spin washing machine and show the features and benefits it offers. For a great buy visit here: www.lords-elec...
I’m so pleased to see your video . Just called out my engineer to see why my washer wasn’t working . I had put on the child lock by putting the washing on top of the machine and it dropped over the front . Didn’t realise what I had done . My man who fixes all my appliances saw the funny side . Thought I’d got some children in lol I’m 72 . The Manuals don’t help . Today I couldn’t get my bath mats to spin . Tried three time . That’s why I’m watching you . Thank you never to old to learn .
Just bought this machine and am delighted with it. I read the manual thoroughly before putting on my first wash. It has just finished and the results are really good. I then found your demo and it's so easy to follow. Thanks so much. I wouldn't normally use all the options but your explanation makes it easy to understand. I particularly like the speed perfect facility and as an economy 7 user, I will also use the night facility so that my washing is ready to be tumble dried when I get up, meaning I can also dry my washing within the economy 7 time slot
Very good informative demo of the functionality. I’ve had this machine a few months, and really only scratched the surface of its abilities, so thanks for your clear simple explanations, so much better than the slightly jumbled instruction manual.
Such a helpful video Thank You. My last manual machine ( Electrolux), was so well looked after, trouble free, 28 years old, has finally died. After lots of research I came up with this brand & model, ordered today. Will receive in a few days, so your video has informed me with useful instruction. Hope all will be a good purchase.
Just received my Bosch washing machine today. It's my first time using front loading washing machine! Glad I came across your informative video! Tqvm. 🙏
Thanks for this very helpful video. My washing machine wasn't bought in an Anglophone country so this video was much appreciated. Greetings from Finland 🇫🇮💙
Bought this washing machine last week and it's the best machine I have ever owned. It replaced a Hoover washer which only lasted 6 years! Wish I'd gone with the Bosch back then.
Had one of these installed a few days ago having watched your video beforehand so I knew what to expect. It replaced an 26 year old Indesit so I had a few things to learn. First thing I've learned is that it's probably a bit too big for a single person although I have yet to try and wash my duvet so I may well change my mind on that. Second thing I've learned, now that I've tried a few programs, is that this thing is a lot more versatile than my old one. I think that, for the price, it lacks one thing: buttons labelled 'heavy', 'normal', 'light' or better still three extra selector positions with the same labels. I washed two heavy acrylic jumpers earlier on 'Woollens' - took 40 minutes and and it's done a really good job. Thanks for the video. Much better than the manual.
Thanks for your comment. Buying a new washing machine, after 18-20 years (which is how long my little 5.5kg Ariston has lasted), is a bloomin' nightmare! Your comment about being a single person made me sit up and take notice, as i too am a single person household, but to complicate things, I still have my old super king size bed, with the huge super king fleece throws and fleece bottom/top sheets! Washing day for my bedding has been a nightmare with the little 5.5kg machine, as it has to do soooo many loads! I am 99% sure that I'm going to get this 8kg machine. I really should probably get the 7kg version, but it doesn't have as many handy features as this one, and is a D rated machine, compared to this C rated (A++ in the old system) one, so I am hoping it will kind of even out.
Never bothered to read the manual of my washing machine, as it was in writing and not in asmr. Now I’m aware of all of these great features and very calm and relaxed as well.
Just replaced my 17 year old Bosch with this one, I am so glad that you do this instructional video, as my other model was so different, I am confident now to use it, I have twice, so thank you.
Very informative and I too had not bothered to read the manual! I found out today however, having put a bath mat in the machine on its own to wash, when the machine stopped the bathroom was wringing wet. I rang Bosch Customer Service department and it turns out that the machine will not spin with a load of less than 2kg as apparently this affects the stability of the drum. A bit annoying as my last Bosch machine spun any amount of machine or hand-washed loads. Although the more sophisticated and technical the machine, the capabilities are still limited. Don't know about anyone else, but I also got caught out on the "child safety lock" facility when I couldn't open the door on one occasion. This resulted on an earlier call to Bosch who talked me through how to release this though I wasn't aware I had activated it. Great demonstration.
Excellent description of what appears to be a sophisticated machine. Delightful man who described everything very well. My machine was installed a couple of days ago. Without the video I might've struggled to use it. My only worry is It completely depends on the instruction panel working
Brilliant display on how to present something, a full in depth review of in this case a washing machine that my wife and I are looking for, so good we have ordered this exact model and arrives this coming Friday, thank you.
Thankyou for your very helpful tour of the Bosch front loader! I had my new 10kg machine installed yesterday, after my 22 year old Simpson top loader called it a day. I have found the information provided by Bosch to be inadequate, and really had no idea of what programs to use, or how the weight/time etc worked. My machine is quiet, and the first few loads seem to have washed well, though I think I should've selected a hotter temp for the bath towels, as they didn't smell as fresh as I'd hoped after a 1 hour cycle. Drying in them in the beautiful Australian sun will fix that. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for this review. I have a Hotpoint WMF540 Aquarius, 10 years old since I moved into my house, it served me well. Yet, I’m flabbergasted by the wash times of some of these new machines. I live alone and all I want is a simple machine with simple quick wash programes. I think this will fit the bill. Thanks again. (Really must invest in a laundry weighing machine, who really knows how much their machine wash weighs?)
@@lords-electrical Absolutely the settings I required from a washing machine, one of the quietest with the fastest cycles .Thank you ever so much for your help. One of the best purchase I have done.
Thank you for a great indepth review and especially for the 'real life' depth measurement which never seems to match what Bosch provide in their specs.
I found your video very informative. I currently have a Bosch Exccel 7 VarioPerfect which is quite a few years old and has just started to have a fault. It stops mid wash, as though the power has gone off, but then tested a couple of times after and was ok. I am looking to buy another Bosch and like the quick wash option, so I like the look of this model.
I have the Bosch excel 7 . 13 years old now and still going (touch wood) when it finally goes, I would like another Bosch but not if it takes 3 hours .
Thank you for the informative video much better than the manual. Great machine but the pump noise is loud it’s louder than the spin, and the spin is pretty quiet even at 1400rpm. Referring to pump sound just prior to, during and after final spin. I have now been informed the pump noise is a common problem with Bosch? Unfortunately I live in open plan flat so it’s noisy.
I have this exact model but it won't drain after a cycle. I've checked all the hoses to make sure they are not kinked, I've checked the filter to make sure it spins freely and there nothing blocking it yet the drum is half full of water at the end of a cycle.
A very well explained video beating a manual hands down, thank you for posting. I am thinking of getting one of these, could you tell me if it is a good reliable machine. Many thanks, Malc.
Load shedding has caused havoc with our display panel and the numbers jump all over the place . How do I reset the screen . I have tried turning off the machine and then on again but the numbers on the screen are erratic😤😵💫
hi without or with child lock active, if I turn the programs wheel during an ongoing program, what will happen, and also if the turn is to the off position what will be the case??
What happens if you add a load heavier than the particular programme is set for? Does the programme fail to start? Is there a warning on the screen? Thank you.
I've just bought this machine. Thank you very much for your clear, concise information. QUESTIONS: I didn't have/or use pre-wash on my old machine, but I AM interested in using it now however, I'm finding the manual rather confusing! I have only done one wash so far, and used my liquid detergent in a washing ball (which I don't like doing). Tonight however, I've installed the wee blue measure, so I can just pour it into the drawer. The manual seems to say that you can't use liquid detergent in the drawer, if you are also doing a pre-wash.....so what do you do? Also, my Ecover liquid detergent doesn't mention anything about pre-wash amounts. Any idea? I'm using 50ml per load. Also...I AM interested in the AllergyPlus mode, but again, can't quite work out what it's for. Will it kill dustmites in bedding? I have fleece bedding, which can be washed at 40°, but can you actually alter the temperature on the AllergyPlus program to 40°? What do you do if you have a synthetic load (with a mix of cottons and synthetics), but they need a REALLY good wash? Thank you PS....I plan to use the Eco mode for my towels and tea towels, but I do disagree with your comment about "most things can be washed up to 60°". I would never wash anything other than towels/teatowels or good quality cotton sheets on 60°. It would shrink most clothing.
I have just purchased one of these machines. This is an excellent video and most helpful, many thanks. Tell me, I note there is a waterproofing section in the drawer. Is this just a case of putting the waterproofing liquid into the drawer and then setting the machine to the instructions on the garment or Nikwax bottle?
17:00 I was hoping you’d also explain how best to use the central and right-hand compartments of the detergent carrier. Can you put Calgon tablets in this tray? If so, which compartment? Does Bosch recommend NOT using fabric softener / conditioner? Think I read that somewhere, but it might have been about not using softener sheets in a Bosch tumble dryer 🤔
How do we know how many kilo is the load in the machine in order to decide to add or reduce the load? If we put more than the program's required load what happens?
I bought this machine yesterday and this video made it a lot simpler to understand than the manual, however can you explain when the Cotton Intensive programme would be used?
Any intensive programmes are normally used for very dirty washes where a long wash is needed. For normal everyday washes, you shouldn't need the intensive washes. Thanks for the feedback
Axxis is what I have & was wondering what is those.pieces that turn in the water inlets. I have a white one, where the cold water goes into & a red blockage where the hot water hose would connect. Do I take them out? They do turn.
I’m planning to install one of these machines myself. Before pushing under counter I would like to check the connection for leaks. What program is best to use for this to be done?
Hello mate, just bought a new bosch washing machine 9kg 6 series. . I put it on 35 mins 40 degrees, 1200 spin, first time wash. It only done 400 spin, l definately put it on 1200, l did pause it at the start to put a sock in . Thought how strange, in the manual 15/30 minute wash has a max 1200 spin. Any thoughts. I guess if it happens on next wash, it would need to go back and if it works, then forget about it.
I'm not sure to be honest, it does sound odd that it should reduce the spin speed on its own. I would try it again perhaps with a full load in on the 1200 spin and hope it works properly. If not try just a spin only program to see if it will spin at 1200 rpm on its own.
@@lords-electrical can l ask you another question, l put a load on the mix for one hour 1400 spin .l checked it when there should of been 10 mins left, but there was 25 mins, perhaps it sensed that it was perhaps 5 kgs instead of max 4kgs,could this be the case.??
@@swedishkev Yes, what it will do is to monitor the load that should be in the machine and adjust the wash time accordingly. It could also be that if too much detergent is put in the wash then the machine will generate too many suds in the program. What the machine will need to do is to add an extra rinse at the end of the wash to compensate for the extra foam in the machine.
Thank you for this informative and well-done video! I just replaced my 20 year old Bosch with this one but am disappointed with some charcteristics. My question is: how to remove or reduce the spin for the wool cycle? Thank you.
On the Woolen cycle it will reduce the spin speed anyway, but there should be a Spin button on the machine, where you can reduce the spin speed of each program.
just brought one, now my one doesn't display weight load when setting wash cycle only duration also press start nothing happens have to press it 2/3times before it kicks in , im i doing something wrong?
Good informative video. Can you tell me a bit about the easycare and sportswear washes eg length of wash and load size selection. Also the seal in my current bosch machine frequently needs a clean - eg is there anything built in to help clean the seal? Many thanks in advance. Karen
It doesn't detect the laundry weight, it will sense the load size by sending a small amount of water through and depending on how much is saturated, it will have an idea on the load size
Just got this machine - Really finding the timer programs frustrating.... Why are all the programmes designed to "measure" the washing and adjust? I want to have my clothes washed in 44 mins on the Mix Load "Speed Perfect" - yet it always takes 90 minutes. It's ridiculous to be honest. You buy a machine and you're not even able to select a predetermined time, so you have no idea how long the cycle will last, or when you can do your next wash. Surely I cannot be the only one feeling this way? Recommendations welcome...
Not sure i understand the question, but if you need to remove the curtains from the machine before spinning, then you can normally just change the spin speed mid program to reduce the spin. if it all goes wrong and you just need to cancel the program, then you can just move the program to spin and drain, to get rid of the water in the machine and start again.
Yes, it will be that the machine cannot balance the load, as it is a large weight over one side of the drum. What you need to do is to put some other bits in the machine at the same time as the bath mat and this will help to distribute the load evenly and it will spin fine
One thing you didn't mention was if the 1400 spin speed could be selected to over ride slower spin speeds which are selected by default in some programmes. Good review though, and much more informative than the Bosch website. One other thing, does the machine have a spin only facility rather than rinse and spin?
You can change the spin speed on most programmes, but if you select the wool programme, then you wouldn't be able to select a 1400 spin, so it is flexible but there are some limitations to what you can do.
@@lords-electrical Well, you can change the spin speed, but not increase it above the default setting which is a bit silly. One other thing worth mentioning is that the spin speed is not displayed when you select a programme - you need to press the spin button to display the spin speed, which is a bit annoying. I get the impression that the person who designed this machine never actually uses it!
