Great video - really useful and so much better that their instruction booklet. One question please - ‘additional programs’ - when I select this and have the app open, I don’t see any additional programs. It’s probably me as this is all quite new to me. Can you help?

A great in-depth review on i-DOS and other features. I have a question on using liquid detergents manually. For example, can we add a separate detergent while washing baby's clothes in the first compartment keeping the i-DOS liquid detergent and softner compartments filled and the i-DOS options turned off during wash cycles? Will it take only the baby's detergent added in the first compartment? Please confirm. Thanks!

I have been looking at at this exact model (9kg) and have found one on offer reconditioned for about £180 with a warranty for 6 months from a supplier I trust, however would the 9kg machine be too big for just myself (1person) and will I end up spending more money on electricity/water bills? Can this machine adjust its water and elect its consumption automatically based on the weight of the clothes in the machine?

That will be correct. All of the Bosch washing machines will vary the wash time depending on the size of the load. If it's only a smaller load, then the wash time will be reduced, so it doesn't sound like a fault.
I know it sounds bizarre that a washing machine can take a lot longer to wash but uses less electricity, but they will soak the clothes for longer and ideally if you can use the longer programmes, you can save money and also the washing performance should be better as well.

Hi just purchased today, put load in machine but for some reason I can't seem to turn the dial from cottons to easy care , dial wont turn to any setting might be something simple what may be causing this problem??
Not too sure. Try taking the clothes out and reducing the load size as several programmes are for smaller loads only of around 3 - 4 kg. Not many programmes are designed to use the full capacity.
Hi I have just set up my new Bosch WAU28PH9GB iDOS washing machine. Will this machine assist me to weigh washing to the correct weight before I start the programme?
It wouldn't normally weigh the clothes, but it will correctly take in the amount of detergent depending on the load size. It does this by sending a small amount of water into the drum to start with, and depending on how much is saturated will depend on the amount of clothes in there.
Just today I bought both washer and dryer but they look a bit different. Does anyone know if the machines have a timer? I found all programmes and features but not a timer. ( yes I found the timer 😚)
