In this video i show and demonstrate the Bosch WAU28PH9 I-Dos washing machine and some of the features and benefits it offers. For a great buy visit here: www.lords-electrical.co.uk/wa...
Just bought this machine and was a bit confused by the operating system. This video was absolutely perfect for me and I feel a lot more confident now! Thanks so much.
Thank you, I've spent all day trying to find info about various washing machines to no avail. This was very clear and concise and answered questions the Bosch website didn't seem to want to!!😀
This machine is the best on the market we just bought one a week ago Bosch Wau28r90gb 1400 spin washing machine easy to use thanks for the the great Demo the best on RU-vid.
Wonderful stuff … full marks. You have saved a pair of oldies a lot of time trying to decipher the manual. Thank you. Our machine arrived earlier today and it took us an hour trying to get the door open to retrieve the manual. 😱
Thanks for your demo video. You are a star. I have just purchased a graded one from the scratch and dent centre with no manual so was in a bit of a panic if I could use it. Not a simple as my 20 year old Siemens of which the main board gave up a couple of weeks back! Thanks again for the clear and easy demo video :)
Excellent demo and explanation of machine. Really appreciated and well thought out. Would recommend your channel. Thanks so much for demo. FERGAL Dublin Ireland
Thank you for your response, I have found out that this must be a fault. Contacted Bosch, only installed on 30/11/2021 but your video made me realise that it as not working correctly.
Користуємося такою пральною машиною понад два роки! Все чудово! Дуже до вподоби що можна завантажити велику ковдру чи плед і пралка з цим справляється!
Thank you for the very informative video on the Bosch WAU28PH9 I-DOS 1400 Spin 9 Kg Washing Machine. It's a pity we cannot buy it from you as we live in Surrey borders :(
Thanks for the great insight,..I have ordered this machine and the matching heat pump tumble dryer,.. you do pay a £150 premium for the wifi and i-dos function and i nearly went for the Siemens (non I-dos) washer and matching dryer,.. however as you mention in your video, Bosch have a promotional 5 year guarantee running at present and that ended up being the deciding factor for me.
@@lords-electrical There is no difference at all, other than the name on the front. They are both made by Bosch-Siemens Hausgeräte on the same production line with the same parts. Just different branding, but all internals and body panels are the same.
Thanks for the tutorial, very helpful, however I’m still confused about idos- for example if I put a cap of liquid in the drum with the clothes can I put the fabric conditioner in the idos2 tray? Also if I want to do it all manually can I put washing liquid and fabric conditioner in the manual tray together? Thank you!
Purchased this very model just under two weeks ago. Very good once you get used to all the different settings but I never bothered with the wifi gimmick!! Idos system is the way to go!! It is very quiet when its on but overall, a lot of thought has gone into this model. Thank you for this video, you explain things very well!!
Great to hear that you like the machine. This is similar feedback from our customers that when they understand how it works and the benefits of the I Dos system then they love it. Thanks for the feedback
6:16 the option to switch i-dos off is because: 1. Not all fabrics need softnerer; 2. On the market there are all-in capsules - throw them in before the wash, and that's it.
Hi, I have a question. I have this washing machine, but unfortunately if I accidentally click on a button on the screen, the screen will not appear. Could you please tell me how to turn it on again?
Very helpful. I am not good at reading manuals and find them tedious, but watching this very much helped my understanding. One question is - when do you know when detergent containers need refilling?
Please explain the idose on the wool cycle. When selecting wool cycle, it only allows idose2? Ive only got softener in idose2. How do I get it to use soap on a wool cycle? Thank you
Great video! The best way to use this machine is using idos 1 whites and idos 2 colours or vice versa. Can you put the fabric softener in draw three (manual)? When you flip between different detergents this doesn’t seem as useful. Can you explain? Thanks!
From memory they use different motors in the idos drawer which are more accurate at taking in the correct amount of detergent compared to the version 1 models
I'm curious if you could send me a recommendation. I'm in the US and deeply unsatisfied with the typical brands available in the US market (LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, etc.). I recently downgraded (really upgraded) to a used Bosch Nexxt 800 series (Bosch's old, full sized machine) and have been blown away by the performance. When this machine dies, I'm considering replacing it with a compact Bosch or Miele unit. Do you have any advice for or against either of these machines/brands?
Thank you. Unfortunately I can’t seem to get any fabric conditioner in the wash. Powder not liquid for washing, which goes into the machine, but not the conditioner. Any handy tips please?
Do you have to use Bosch or specialised detergents? How do you tell it if you are using the concentrated ones versus standard ones so it knows how much to use?
It will have an indicator in the machine drawer to let you know how much liquid is in there. You don't have to use any specialised detergents, but as long as it is a liquid detergent not a thick gel or powder then this machine will perform really well.
I've found any liquids work absolutely fine in the Idos even if they are concentrated, had mine for a year now and best machine I've owned although I do have to recommend Kirkland liquid detergent it's £13 for 5 litres from Amazon :)
You can use pods in this machine direct in the drum, but it is a much better idea to use the dosing through idos as it will just take in the amount of detergent required for the load.
I want Bosch 9.0kg6.0kg wna14408in 1400 rpm silver, amzn say currently unavailable always, & contact customer care no resbonce, & main shopping no stock so I what I can do, I like in this model. Please inform me. Thanking you.
It doesn't actually weigh the clothes, it sends a certain amount of water in at the start of the programme, then depending how much is saturated it will know the approx load. if you overload the machine especially on smaller load programmes then it will just take a lot longer than the time stated.
Is there a machine that will actually tell you how heavy (in Kgs) the washing is as you load it into the drum to prevent over/under loading on any one program? Everything I've seen so far seems to suggest guess work.
@@lords-electrical Thank you for your reply, my current machine which is now faulty and I need to buy a replacement will drop from a 3-4hr programme to 1-2hrs based on certain things and pops up on the app to say "washing duration changed" I'm looking for a replacement machine that does the same.
Hi, I have purchased this machine within a few weeks I have firstly got a flashing tap sign not sure why this appears from time to time. Now I have an error E31 come up. I wanted to ask, if I could solve the issue myself as the engineer is going to come and fix my machine in a few weeks. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you
Normally a flashing tap symbol is a sign of low water pressure. May be worth trying to turn the water up a little bit. Also make sure the waste outlet is not blocked as sometimes this can be an issue.
The red tap symbol means low water pressure, on my machine only showed this once and that was because people in the house decided all at once to use additional taps around house so water pressure going into machine dropped drastically, this is a user mistake in my case, symbol will clear after u turn the machine off and back on, now if u have this symbol all the time it means u really have low water pressure, I remember from past research that different manufacturer want different minimum water pressure at the water inlet, I don't know what Bosch min pressure is, I think 1 bar and above will satisfy most machine manufacturers.
Great demo, thank you, I'm sold on it! One question though, the model number in the video is WAU28PH9GB but it is not listed on the Bosch website. They do list a WAU28P89GB. Is that the same thing?! Thanks very much
We have 2 washing machines, an older bosch 8 series, and now this. I cant firgure how many kg of clothes i put in this one( 6 series) in my 8 series the machine weights the clothes for me right away.
Must admit its a common problem across a lot of washing machines. A lot of machines have smaller load programs but there is no way of measuring the load you are putting in.
You need to fill the compartment to the max line and enable the i-Dos function for conditioner. And refill the compartment/tank to the max line again when the iDos indicator blinks to tell you it is running low.
Can u help plesse? I read in the user manual that I can change thr idos2 to either detergent or softener. Is the change permanent even after I turn the machine off? I would use idos1 for color and idos2 for white detergent. Thanks
Just had a look and it looks like if you change the liquid settings then it will remember the setting you have done. You shouldn't have to change the settings for this each time you use the machine.
Another question: does iDos in Series 6 measure the actual weight of the load? Or it just uses the "recommended" load based on the selected program? And what about measurement of the level of soiling? Thanks
Not too sure, as it should just light up when you switch it on? May be worth getting the company that sold it to you to pop out to see if there is a fault with it.
Normally Siemens concentrate on the high end of the market and Bosch are in the mid market but it really depends on the country they are targeting their machines at
Siemens iq700 done this over 8 years ago even Bosch Siemens are the same company but Bosch now owns Siemens it used to be 50 50 now Bosch now owns 100 percent
man clearly knows his appliances, fantastic content on almost all products he reviews. But the video quality and audio quality is jus criminal mate, jus a better boom mike or lapel mike and some lights for a few quid will have you cracking mate
It is something that a lot of manufacturers are starting to put on their machines as standard. Must admit most customers are not fussed at the moment about it but as they offer more features through the apps then it will be accepted more.
@@lords-electrical I use that same home connect app for all of my neff kitchen appliances. It’s pretty useful but it’s great for the coffee machine as you can download coffees from around the world to it. You can also ask Alexa to make you a latte 😄
Far, far too complicated - what you dont' mention is the cost of replacing the control board when some farty diode blows 2 mths after the guarantee expires !
