Bosch Wiper Blades Installation Hook (AP- universal type) 

So much for the J Hook.....I'm returning my bosch blades tomorrow.

These are such such such a pain in the ass..

For the people that can't get this stupid adapter off. Use force. And just grab it off. Bosch is really stupid for pre-installing it

I got frustrated and just broke the entire thing in a drunken rage. I’ll buy a different brand tomorrow!!!

THEN YOU JUST PULL UP ON THE ARROW END UNTIL IT POPS OFF. YOU DO HAVE TO USE SOME FORCE BUT ALSO BE GENTLE.. DONT JUST TRY TO RIP IT OFF!! USE JUST ENOUGH FORCE NEEDED UNTIL IT COMES OFF. I DID IT WITHOUT BREAKING IT. HOPE THIS COMMENT HELPS. LET ME KNOW!!

For anyone doing a Mazda CX5, you have to take off the attachment that comes on it by default. I found it best to just rip it off from the arrow side. For the CX5 it is attatchment 6, and it slides right on.

None of these adaptors fit on my 2014 toyota sienna ..wasted an hr trying to figure shit out and realized shit don't even go with the metal arm on the sienna. Its the loop arm

Came here for instructions on how to take off the original piece that comes on the wiper and was wildly disappointed - the stupid thing can’t be changed easily such a waste of money!!

In my Renault Clio 3, I took out the original attachment that was on the blade. You can First take the blade, & then the attachment. Then slide it in & you will hear the clicking sound

For those with the j hook you have to buy the type without the adapters. I made the mistake of buying the oe type when you need the A type. Oe type has all the different adapters and the A type is for the j hook.

Thanks Netherland for a clear explanation why Canadian ICON Bosch wiper blades will never fit my VW. They sell them with one adapter each, in a couple of styles. The store offers a chart of compatibility which is completely wrong, and is up to the consumer to figure out how wrong. The style recommended by the store for top load narrow is same as top load standard, which is wrong obviously. For top load standard, adapter #2 is needed (ICON OE as it's sold here) and I need adapter #4 for top load narrow. I had to trim the sides of that adapter and it fits, but I feel like it's going to fly in the windshield of the lucky car driving behind me. I wanted these blades, but the lack of proper adapters makes them unusable. I haven't seen one model from Bosch with adapter #4 on them. There is one set, but I'm not sure about the blades and so far I know it's sold in Europe, but in Canada, haven't seen it yet. Safest bet, just go original VW.

Do these not work for the hook??

Just snapped a piece off of wiper from pulling off the installed adapter, what kind of junk is this. I guess it's 50/50 whether it'll break or not when removing. How about they don't install one at all and let the consumer attach whichever one they need to!!

The Bosch icon blades I bought for my toyota didn’t come with half of those pieces. I have just a hook. How do I get them on?

It never shows how to remove the piece that's already on there. So I just used a spoon. On one side to remove the piece I couldn't use and snapped in the correct fitting for my car model. No force needed just scoop under one side and take it from there.

This piece of sh*t doesn't fit a standard "loop" arm. There's no adapter for it. The simplest arm design on the planet and these WILL NOT attach to it. What the hell is wrong with companies today?

So the "U" doesn't stand for universal, doesn't fit "j" hook arms, you know the most common type.

Poor instructional, 2019 Forester, Bosch blade came with wrong adapter on. Use flat tip screw driver to GENTLY pry adapter off at hole, start one side , hold it and pry the other side GENTLY. Take correct adapter (6 for Forester) set it perpendicular to blade lining up on holes with slight pressure down and twist/turn adapter down on to blade. Go Gently
