How to connect a bose acoustimass 5 series III on your amplifier is very simple and every amplifier can be used. The active monitor audio radius 370 can't connect to every amplifier. If you have a stereo amplifier this have to be a amplifier with pre out connection.

I heard the Acoustimass system for the first time at a party this past New Year’s Eve and was very surprised at how distortion free it played at a high volume. That said, while being passive makes it easy to pair with any receiver, the inability to adjust the Bose sub crossover might work well with its satellite cube speakers but be a problem with full range towers. Having a sub with low and high level inputs makes life much easier.

Thank you for you simple explanation. I picked this one up at an estate sale and the sellers would not sale the cube speakers. It was part of a vintage Onkyo system. I eventually picked up some Onkyo speakers but never used the Bose woofer. Is it also possible use the Bose as a separate speaker without connecting them to my Onkyo tower speakers? I have space on my amp/receiver for two more speakers.

Bose Acoustimass X “speaker system” speaker system is the key words. Look at them as one speaker, not a woofer and main speakers.

De sub trekt alleen 50 Watt als die op maximale geluidssterkte staat.. Dan is het nog de vraag wat voor versterker er in zit (klasse a a/b of D) Achterop de versterker of actieve subwoofer staat wat het apparaat aan maximale wattage trekt.

If BOSE used a dome tweeter , all there speakers would sound settled . Headphones sound & feel sweet , I have a pair myself . BOSE Soundwave is a NO NO , its the speakers , forget the puondshop remote , forget the thing altogether .

Ja en wat hebben wij aan deze informatie? De meesten weten wel hoe zo aan te sluiten. Overbodige informatie dus. Had graag het verschil gehoord tussen beiden, dat was relevante informatie geweest. Jammer.

heel veel, de meeste jongeren, hebben geen flauw benul, zelfs speakers aansluiten weten ze niet. youtube wordt meer door jongeren bekeken als ouderen. Dit is info voor de jongeren die helemaal niets weten over stereo.

I think the filter inside the acoustimass modulle, is not gonna work well with the cantons or any other speaker you have. It's designed for the oiginal bose tweeter/midrange cubes...In the past, i have owned the acoustimass 3 stereo system from bose. Altough, it sounded crap in the living room, in my car it was a perfect match with my sony car hifi system!😁

@@vintagestereo yes it can be used in a car. Put the acoustimass bass module in the trunk, and the cubes inside the car, you will be amazed! Only downside is the impedance off 8 Ohm on the bose system. Car radio's use mostly 4 ohm amplifier, so power is reduced trough the impedance difference. It works and sounds very fine, but you must have a bit of power to drive the speakers. My car radio was putting out a modest 30 watts/channel, and i can tell you, it' s not breaking the rear window, but it's enough to go really loud, and sounding very good! Btw it's not my idea to use this system in a car, but i have read this in a article of timemagazine " O&O" (Oog en oor) way back before the millenium...

@@jhallo7740 Sorry ma man, I have Alpine mids and tweeters hooked up to a pioneer indash cd sat system, 2 12 inch Alpine subs hooked up to a 4 channel Rockford Fosgate amplifier..
