You need to use a "slow burn' type fuse for bass modules. The high amp draw upon startup will blow a regular ( non slow burn ) fuse.

@@metube3489 Thanks for the tip. So I need to use a "slow blow" fuse. That seems to be the description on ebay for a 'slow burn' type. What do you recommend?

Actually most of their new product start using the real tweeter instead of just single full range or big tweeter that doesn't produce full high frequency

Try deoxit the main connector . If not open it up and look on the board for any burns

Also deoxit the controls on the front of the bass module

Mate!!! Went out and got some deoxit, applied it to the main connector and both speaker connectors and and it’s like new! Thanks so much for the advice! Really appreciate it!

of course it is a sub woofer.............. you have no knowledge about music..... ever heard of a contrabas? that's a subsound... and he is reproducing that. so it is a subwoofer.

I've got 5 sets of the 2 cube arrays with Bose stands and the Bose Powered Accoustimasd 9 speaker system sub box etc. It's been sitting around for a few years and I cannot use it in my home theater set up. I have a Dennon AVR - 3803 using Infinity and Teac's and 2 Yamaha subs and the sad part about it all is the Bose equipment is useless in my arrangement because it does not intergrate with anything different than Bose. One of these days I will jump into it and convert what they say is unconvertable in the electronics.The built in DSP or whatever they are using in the sub module is going to go through a change or two. Is there anybody out there that could possibly head me in the right direction in what steps or process I could attempt to make to the Bose system making it more useful than just sitting pretty gathering dust while doing nothing for my musical pleasure? Maybe a website or someone not tied to Bose that had been through the same bs? They say there is nothing I can do but purchase a not so great but super expensive component that breaks me and sends some corporate executive's kid through college. Also, not reaching a higher standard of my growing need for the perfect sound. I've got Bose headphones and I can't complain about them. They do produce a great sound. But it's not fair to the Boise speakers to go to the dump. If I can't make use of them I guess no one gets to. Thanks for reading my rant. Kind of pisses me off spending all that money way back then for them being worthless now. Couple grand and the longivity and durability and resale value equal to a Ford Pinto or Chevy Vega and I havnt seen one of those in years.

You can buy a Din to RCA cable from ebay to use the Powered acoustimass

Terrificten a lot of very well rated subs use a 8 inch driver . Easier to control the cone movement a 12 can sound sloppy in comparison. Look at Jamos Sub800 for instance or something from definitive technology

Even so, what is the lowest frequency it could play?

Terrificten well this plays down to 32hz and still plays well . But this unit is old and music back then didn’t really have any lows at those frequencies. Something from definitive tech today with a 8 inch has a frequency response down to 16 hz
