What I love most about this is the patience of your son while he watches his crazy dad playing random snatches of music on a variety of devices - in the middle of a forest! Your stuff is great oluv and I got my Motion + yesterday based solely on information you have provided 👍
Wow! I didn’t realize just how good of a speaker the Ankler is! Thanks for making such an informative video! Also this is a beautiful place you’ve chosen to film in:)
Blows my mind how a company like Anker is building a better BT speaker than the other big brand names that have been around for ages. Esp JBL a company who has designed systems for concert halls. Thanks for another great review!
RyKo Media Simple, they have different teams for different projects/products. Also, an underdog brand like Anker might try its best to sell the products by delivering very good value. JBL etc already have brand recognition and they thus might choose to cut corners in development/design to maximize profits.
wouldn't say the JBL is worse compared to Anker, had the xtreme2, that bass is damn good but sound overall isn't enjoyable for longer periods plus it's a odd speaker to me, not that loud for outdoors but too powerful for indoor listening at normal listening levels, switched to a much smaller Tribit maxsound plus my listening sessions are much enjoyable at all volume levels now BBBBUT i still miss that bass on the JBL which the Tribit doesnt or cant deliver and gets cuts off but again only at specific parts of a bass heavy track lines
Wow the anker sounds great. I really may need to look into this to add to my speaker collection. Thanks for this video. It has apt x too which is also great
A couple of months ago I bought a second Anker soundcore +, and by linking them the surround sound experience is Incredible, if you can buy another speaker you will NOT regret it !!
Thank you for posting this video, it was very helpful for me to decide which one to buy. I own a Bose Soundlink Mini II, a great speaker but I am now looking for something cheaper for my office and the Anker seems to be the best choice in this price range. For those of you who are looking for a stereo bluetooth amplifier, there are interesting choices in the marketplace but this time around I need a compact and portable solution so I will buy this Anker speaker.
The advantage with the bose is the 360 sound. You never have to worry about placement or off axis performance but this does come with some audio compromises at louder volumes. If you want easy listening at home or background music for a party, it's hard to beat the bose.
I've had the Motion+ for a while now. I went through a number of other speakers of the same size and larger to get a quality tone/sound. The Motion+ was by far the best. I also use it for guitar as a mini amp using the amp simulator apps in my phone and laptop. It has all of the tonal qualities that I need for that (and I'm very picky). And for $100 (sometimes on sale for $80) it is a bargain since you get the great sound that you're looking for.
@@MAREK14RO it seems to. I have not had any trouble with it and it seems to retain it if I move to another device. But I have not listened critically as I usually use the same source device.
u helped me a lot to make my decision. I bought the Motion + , and although i havent had the chance yet to try it out properly this video was very convincing. i like bass, i hope its gonna be bassy enough for my taste. some people say the bass is better on the jbl, just the bass alone is not enough. if the overall quality is much better, then i dont mind. Anyways, thank you for the review. Great job.
Hello Oluv. Thank you so much for your great reviews . With so many choices out there I’m confused at this point... what would you recommend as the best Bluetooth portable speaker that has a great bass and soundstage and can deliver loud outdoor performance . Price point is up to $300. And a second choice with price point of up to $500.? Thank you!
Holy shit! The Anker is the new king in this class! Louder than all of them without any distortion with more bass. Jbl, Sony & Bose should be ashamed of themselves.
Khalil Subahi the Sony came out this year and Sony failed once again on their speaker so it does make sense to compare this one to the Sony and also the other ones since these are the latesr speakers of these companies.
@@theearthisbread unfortunately sony keeps failing on Bluetooth speakers while they have amazing sound system which is kinda sad but i didn't expect the bose to be that far from the Anker as he said
Oluv thanks for the video! Thoughts on the flare plus vs the motion plus? I purchased the denon 250 on your rec when it came out and it sounds great but the battery discharges all the time and it really is a majorly annoying problem!
Are you able to power on/off the speaker using the app, like the RIVA S? For that matter, are there any other great bluetooth speakers that can be powered on/off remotely with the app?
because of this vlog, I decided to buy soundcore motion+ even it's too late, it gives justice! Thank you Oluv! This is one of the best review so far. Clear and justified.
I just ordered a motion+ a couple days ago for 146 Canadian, taxes included and it is going to be arriving tonight at ten. I am hoping I am not disappointed. From videos I have seen I like how the motion+ doesn't seem to drown out all the other sounds with way too much bass. I am not a fan of way too much bass as it tends to overpower everything else and sound a little "muddy" or muffled. Music is not just about bass. I like how much louder the soundcore+ sounds 'cause that means you won't have to be playing it at full volume and killing the battery life even faster too. It has a headphone jack! To me that's a bonus! For its price that's an even bigger bonus to me too. Thanks for the review. You need a little firepit in that little forest area. Looks like a nice little place to hang out with some tunes and maybe a couple cold ones by a fire. Oluv you got a great kid there he seems a very patient little fellow heh. I will be back later on tonight after getting my motion+ to let everyone know what I think of it. :)
Thanks for the review. I was looking for something small for around the pool. Now when I went to the link i noticed another product by Anker called the soundcore flare+ 360. I think that would be an interesting one to go against the BOSE, as it is the same design, and it can pair in stereo.
I have one, with the right EQ the speaker have an amazing sound, but less clear than Motion+ though. Both have a similar speaker configuration with 2 tweeters, two full range and two bass radiators.
I always like your reviews and comparison of speakers with high quality binaural mics that mimic real life sound. I always watch your vids and further reviews on with speakers has good sound quality that is bang for the buck. keep up the great work oluv! I'll support you more... btw have you turned on the extra bass on sony and just leave the speaker eq to flat?
It would be cool to see a comparison of the Anker soundcore motion +Vs Anker soundcore flare plus. Both similar prices, sizes, driver layouts and features.
Würdest du ihn immer noch als besten Allrounder empfehlen? Ich besitze immer noch einen JBL Charge 2(+) und bis jetzt hat mich kein neuerer Lautsprecher überzeugt was eine klare und neutrale Wiedergabe angeht.
Always like your comparisons. No bull and use real world setting, places I’d use this type of speaker. Plus I’m guessing your hearing and sound preference for listening is similar to mine, because a I rarely disagree with your conclusions. Carry on! 👍
I just got a Bose SoundLink for my brother, and will be getting this Anker for myself, the only reason I was getting it because I think Micro USB is dead tech and wanted a USB-C charging. This is a much welcome surprise knowing I'm getting a better product. I'll be doing my own tests, and if it's really that much better, I may just return the Bose and grab another for my bro and pocket the $90 savings.
OK!!! I gotta say WOW!!! 1st let me say I truly appreciate Oluv and the time and energy and passion he has for Bluetooth speakers and have been watching for YEARS! I have to say I am just as addicted but not near as technically measured as him and just go off of what sounds good to my ear but do like my bass. I have been looking for the unicorn for years and have had. Bose Revolve Plus , Bose Revolve , all the JBL's Xtreme's , Charge's, Boom Box , UE Mega Booms and Booms , Multiple B&O's , Harmon Kardon Go n Play and Studio 5 , Most of the Sony's , Mini Rig , 3 different Vifa's , Bumpboxx, Soundbox Also the new Marshall Stockwell 2 that I thought sounded good but just not loud enough and countless more!! I am pretty sick!!! lol! :-) The whole point to this Rant is there is no perfect speaker! size , battery , loudness , bass , quality of sound its really all a compromise. I have to say that This Anker Soundcore is really amazing for the price and I think its a STEAL!!! Don't walk run!! lol! :-)
How would you say this compares to the Sony XB40? As that's currently the loudest and biggest-sounding speaker I own however I want to upgrade to something a bit louder and more accurate...
The anker has tweeters.. the xb40 doesn't the highs on the anker is better. I have xb 40 but I like it cuz of the lights .. I have speakers for different reasons ... I will get the anker for the beach .. much more wider range
Nice test mal wieder.
It has auxiliar port.. you can connect it to a tv through adaptors via optical.. this to don't have latency issues. Otherwise you can connect it via bluetooth, but there are some lip sync problems.
@@oluvsgadgets was just about to pull the trigger on an Envaya, this being half the price, and sounding very promising in this comparison, do you think I should hold of/reprioritize? Thanks for great videos as always 👍
8 minutes.....superb track :0). Very surprising comparison. I still have my srs xb 30.....although time for a upgrade. My choices are the minirig 3, the new Marshall Stockwell 2 or Tufton.....even this anker gets a look in. Great vid, and thank god you didn't let all the recent crap you've experienced put you off what you do. Fight the good fight :0)
I have no idea why sony keeps going backwards from the xb30, what are they smoking? I also love the smoother treble response and off axis response from the anker. I think I may have to get it... despite owning so many good speakers already. Can't stop the portable speaker fever.
@@jaytcapinpin i have the xb20 and have battery isuses like when the bat goes to 50% and i play it at max volume it dies/shuts off Do you have that prob?
@@koke485 Both my xb30 and xb20 volume goes down considerably when the battery drains down to a certain percentage. Very disappointing. Mine don't shut off, they just play at the lower volume.
