Bass is absolutely OK in my opinion, actually BOSE changed it to sound more "natural" and not to much bass...I can recommend the QC 45 100%! I am really happy with them!
Hey Matthew, great review! Your video just popped up on my feed as I also did a long term review last week. I agree with your analysis btwn the 700s and the QC45s too just a matter of personal design preference at this point! Glad the EQ was updated now we just need that low NC mode to get rid of wind noise (still can't believe they removed that feature from the MK IIs)
Awesome! Do you think QC35 ii are still maybe better build and knd of old school better quality over 45s or did they make nice improvement in build quality in this one as well. I have 35s ii version and not sure if I should even upgrade based on what people are saying . I also have Bose qc earbuds and love them for light wear around and quick getting around without having large band over my head : ) Totally agree that 700s are the most modern and up to date..I just feel little funky about touch controls..and wearing gloves..etc..more of a old school button feel. Cheers! Keep up good work!
Thanks! And I do think the 45s are a good upgrade from the 35ii. Yes the NC and all is slightly better but also, the futureproof of USB-C, the more refined look of the hinges and design. The ear cups feel a bit more comfortable and the headband I think is a bit better too. :). It's pretty much up to you but I do think the 45s are worth it. If you can try them on in store it would help a lot because everyone's comfort preference is different just like everyone's music preference and EQ but that is my opinion :). Thanks! Trying to bring what I can to help people make a purchasing decision because I'm always in the same boat trying to figure out what to buy.
It's a great pair of noise cancelling headphones. I just think music wise (mainly because I feel the bass is lacking slightly) the NC 700s are the better headphone when it comes to music but it you don't care about that EQ for music, the QC45s are a really great pair
They just came out with new QC45 firmware update with added EQ for them as well...have you tried? Any update on sound quality after the update? Great review !
@@danijelo1984 I have not updated yet. The headphones are currently at my desk at work but I plan on updating them. I saw that there was an update earlier. I'm excited to see how they sound with the EQ settings enabled!
Yes! I updated mine the other day and have been using them with the new update with the EQ adjusted. They sound really good! I do still like the NC700s more but the gap has definitely shrunk
Hello! I have Sony Sony WH-1000XM4. When I turn on noise canceling in a quiet environment, I hear a soft but noticeable white noise that doesn't exist in reality. How is it with Bose 45?
If you have them fit properly, I haven't heard of any audio leakage when Ive had others try them out. When my friend has them off his head then yes but that's because nothing is blocking the sound. Thanks! Glad you liked the video :)
I just buy these a few days ago and notice that serial number on the box and in bose music app is different. Is anyone have dealt with that? Is that normal? The headphones works and sounds great btw
Oh nice! At the time I think they only had the Black color in stock. I like the smoke color one. Almost got another pair during Presidents day weekend for because they were on sale
@@MatthewBaxter2010 true i just like the white smoke color better it looks like a 400$ headphones. I might get the 700s I’m not for sure it depends on how much I get paid on the 1st.
I will say, that currently I believe both are on sale for $50 off. Also, I would suggest if you have a Samsung phone to go with the 45s... The 700s have a connection issue with Samsung phones
Both are great! The 45s are lighter and I have to say, they are more comfortable because of that and I feel like I can wear them for longer periods of time. However, the 700s sound slightly better even with the equalizer addition on the 45s. Thats a tough choice. What would you be using them for?
@@MatthewBaxter2010 Thanks. I tried both in a shop, i agree the qc 45 feels lighter but I thought the earpads of the nc 700 felt much smoother and more premium, so I really don't know which one to get
In my opinion, it just depends on your preference. With the new EQ settings with the update the 45s are great but I still give the slight leg up to the NC700s
The software update took place about 6 months ago. Makes the QC 45s so much better. The sound isn't quite as good as the 700s but it's so close that I feel most people won't be able to hear too much of a difference.
@@brettrun8575 when I get back to where I have the headphones I will let you know. I believe I have it on Bass Boost because the bass boost settings give you more bass but doesn't drown out the highs and mids. I like hearing the bass without sacrificing detail
Yo can you help me? I have the opinion between the QC 45 and the 700, both for 160€, wich one do you prefer? IT would be cool to hear music at my bike, without windnoice. And wich Anc is better? Thank you
Both have great ANC. Id say they are very close. With the EQ able to be adjusted on the 45s, they sound almost as good as the 700s when it comes to sound. The 700s have slightly punchier bass but that's it's. The 45s are more comfortable and don't get as warm on the ears at least for me.
