I recently purchased the sport earbuds. Just because it’s smaller and it looks better in the ear compared to the noice cancelling ones. I’m not a big fan of noise cancelling because I appreciate outside noise. Bose did a great job with the sport and I love this video. It helps out a lot on the size of both earbuds
Hi! I am considering the sports for the exacts same reasons (smaller being the principal). Can you help out and tell me if the passive noise cancelation of the sports is quite decent or it doesn't cancel at all? Would really appreciate it. Thx
I recently acquired the Sports and I really enjoy them. I thought about getting the Quiet Comforts, but I knew that I would prefer the smaller flush Sports. I find the sound quality to be excellent, so I can only imagine how awesome their bigger brothers rendition must be. Fantastic job and I just subscribed....
Great practical review. I got the sport ones for activity and active travel as some sounds comes through, and then got the Quiet comfort for home and work use plus longer travel (when we can again) Both of them are excellent and such a comfortable fit.
So I bought both of them and the quiet comfort is good for noise canceling it doesn't deliver on sound. Soundsport delivers on sound but not noise canceling but if you prefer sound quality I would go with soundsport
Great video ! I have the Jabari 75-T ‘s and I love them. I just ordered the Bose Sound Sport. Looking forward to putting those to the test. Thanks for the info ! 💯💯
Interesting review, i find that my Bose soundsport free sound better and are more comfortable than the Quietcomfort Earbuds I just bought. I guess ill be returning these unfortunately
Hi, Sorry for the delayed response. These are great questions and should have been addressed in the review. I will add some comments to the video description above. Let me answer both questions together. I did a half-marathon distance trail run at the weekend and ran with the Quietcomforts instead of the Sports to put your questions to a decent test. First off, the Quietcomforts feel big and heavy for this use. At no point did they fall out, or even de-stabilise, but they were much more noticeable than the Sports. The weight and length of the QCs also meant that they 'bounced' slightly with each footfall. This gave rise to a quite unpleasant "whump whump" sound being pushed into the ear. Also the QCs are seriously affected by wind noise. On a completely calm day, they are fine for walking, but as soon as you start running, they pick up a bit of the wind noise from your forward momentum. My big test run was on a moderately breezy day (13mph winds) and the wind noise in the QCs was very considerable when running into the wind. I actually tried to run into the wind with the active noise cancellation switched off, and it was intolerably loud. Like standing next to a loud engine. Simple summation: the QCs are most definitely not best suited for running, or for undisturbed listening in windy conditions. Hope that helps!
@@MrOtbot Thanks for all the details, so I take it the Sports have none of the problems you describe for the QC ? Best option for runners would you say ?
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds sound quality is BRILLIANT. Bose QC's absolutely POWER through. Delivering higher highs and some very nice lower-end punch. "A full balanced spectrum of joy." Regardless of a bulbous look, B-QC's stay in place extremely well, even under intense rockin' to my favorite jam. On numerous occasions... I would have expected one or both to drop out, leaving me scrambling to pop back into my magnificent in-head heavenly concert. It doesn't happen. Not only very light in the ear, staying FIRMLY in place - they are the first earbuds I forget were in my ears. Noise-canceling is very good, though sucking up battery life - though not annoyingly. The downs? Yes, there are a few. Let's not assume what I consider to be the top two earbuds on the market will, or even can be everything to everyone. When I say top two, I am referring to the left and right Bose QC's. Realistically, nothing on the market can be everything to everyone. As a blue-tooth phone device, they are not very good. In a quiet moderate to loud space, they are adequate. To expect a microphone on your ear to block wind noise is I believe at this stage of technology too much to expect. That is what microphone extension arms are for...placing the microphone in front of your mouth. Did that have me returning the B-QC's for a headset? Hell no! Never! It had me looking for a good headset for phone calls. The Case: some find the case overly large. Clearly larger than the AirPod Pro case, I found the case ok. The buds slip into charging position and stay in place well. I do NOT like the case access button. I suppose it is a fine line between engineering a case that stays closed when it should and opens easily. For the replacement price, you certainly do not want the case to inadvertently pop open. The alternative however leaves me a touch frustrated opening this case. Overall? "Get'em...WOW!!"
I just returned the QC Earbuds. The bass was good the highs were good but the mids were horrible and the sound stage was too narrow. Had to go with the Sony WF-1000XM4 instead which is sad because I by far preferred the QC earbuds fit.
Anyone else notice that Bose tries to throttle these headphones at 95% volume? I noticed on the app i never showed 100% volume. Somehow today on my Galaxy S9+ I unknowingly got to 100% and was getting a rattle on the right earbud. I thought I had a blown speaker. Note it will never show 100% volume on the Bose app but it will on the volume control on my Samsung. I can set it to 100% from the Home screen of the phone. 100% sounds so much nicer if you have music with no significant bass in it. I would estimate it sound like 10-15% extra volume...
I see you are a drummer: Does the sound drops when you play with the quiet comfort? I used to have hearbuds that had a feature that if I started to play drums, the volume of the hearbuds would recalibrate so the sound was never steady.
The Sport Earbuds are the first earbuds for me that are actually comfortable to wear for a long time. I'm actually less aware I have something in my ear. The old Soundsport Frees felt that they were going to fall out all the time and I've also got the Sony XM4s and they aren't pleasant. I'm not really bothered about noise cancelling either, I think it's a gimmick
They both have great sound but if you test them back to back, it is clear there is a noticeable quality improvement with the Quietcomforts. Doing this test again today made me appreciate again what a majestic sound they have. The Sports are very good but have a thinner sound. Perhaps another way to describe it is like listening to a musician play in a small hall as opposed to a perfectly balanced concert venue. The Sports have a smaller, narrower sound. The Quietcomforts have a massive, rich, fulsome sound. They are both great, but there is a difference. Like driving an Audi R8 and a Lamborghini.
@@MrOtbot mainly manly stuff also compared the qc with the sport. You may want to watch his video and I would really value your feedback. Basically he is categorically saying the sports sound better than the QC.
Been using Sound Sport Free for years. Frankly, the Sport earbuds doesn't seem to be much improve from the older model. Quiet Comfort is much more appealing. However, using the right for master is so outdated. I'll wait for the next version when both left and right can be used independently.
Thanks for the review. I think i will try them both, but the quiet comfort seem like they would be a good choice. I have the large soundsport free and they always fall out my ear. It's annoying. I have really smalls ears and have had surgery years ago so now even smaller now.
I got the bose quitecomfort and the sound is amazing. Just bought the bose sport but i haven't listen to it yet. But don't think is not going to be as good as the bose quitecomfort
thx buddy - I just got the Quiet Comfort (not sports) One question: Is there any way to turn off the headphones entirely while inear? Is it just me or do others as well have quite loud BACKGROUND NOISE ON LOW ANC levels (which they call transparency mode) - but sometimes I just want to have them in my ears without hearing either this quite loud noise on low levels or the ANC noise (which is also there but way less loud)... or just listen to music on very low volume without any background noise (like on any random cheap headset...) Or is it a factory problem, I just got my pair two days ago and am quite dissappointed... Thanks a lot!
Hi, does anyone know how to fix the intermittence sound problems? I have already rebooted the Quietcomfort earbuds as suggested by #Bose, but it does not fix the problem.
I bought the quiet comfort but it wont fit correctly in my left ear with all the different fittings, do you have a solution for this ? My right ear fits great
That is really frustrating. If you have tried all the different sized ear pieces, I’m not sure there is a solution to the problem, unfortunately. If you haven’t done so already, maybe try the fitting using a mirror to see if there is a way to angle the bud and/or tuck in the support arm.
Dear, Do you think the new [Bose QuietComfort Earbuds] is works good for sport also ?? or the new [Bose Sport Earbuds] going to be better for sport ?? wish to get an answer as helping me before i buy one of them, Thanks
Either would do they both stay in your ears and are water resistant one just Have active noise cancelation the Quiet Comfort whereas the sport does not. I have the Quiet Comfort and they are really good .
I use the number 2 fit (medium) and think the ear tip is a great design. It sits just enough inside the ear to feel secure and channel the sound effectively, but not so deep that it could cause discomfort.
Again not a very useful comparison. QC are noise-cancelling, the Sports are not. QC case can charge wirelessly, the Sport case can only charge through USB cable. That's about it.
