I have one of these amplifiers. It could use a pre-amp out for a subwoofer. It would increase the sound quality tremendously.

I Love Bose i have the bose free sound sport, Bose, mini sound link,bose B1 module black,series iii speaker sub woofer. I have no problem very durable soround sound crystal clear voice its wonderful Bose is Life.

Awesome! Thanks for commenting. I have 3 SoundTouch 20 speakers, 2 SoundTouch 10 speakers, 1 set of Bose Companion 3 speakers linked to the system through Soundtouch Wireless Link, and the Bose SoundTouch Lifestyle 650 Home Theater. The SA-5, along with the Polk Atrium speakers have proved to be a great outdoor addition to my SoundTouch system. Have a great day.

Is SA5 amlifier better than av receiver? Can you control Bass & treble volume separately on SA 5?

Hello jwoja lapa! The SA5 is great at doing what it is designed to do. That being said, it’s not designed to be a replacement for an AV home theater receiver. In the SoundTouch environment, bass & treble can be controlled within the SoundTouch app at the speaker level, if the speaker supports this option. Hope this answers your questions. Have a good day.

Hello Argente, the SA-5 has to be connected to a network via Ethernet or WiFi. Download the Bose SoundTouch app to your phone, then setup the amp as a speaker zone.

I have a Bose SoundTouch System 130, can Connect this amplifier to the system to add two more wireless speakers (rear left and right)?

No sir, the intended use is to add traditional wired speakers to a SoundTouch system, for example an outdoor set of deck speakers. It does not serve as part of a home theater system. Thanks for watching.

Hi Lyndon, thanks for tuning in and commenting. Audio is personal taste & preference. True audiofiles dislike Bose for whatever their reasons may be. I have the lifestyle 650 home theater with the acoustimass sub, it’s ok. Honestly, I like a heavy bass, so none of the Bose subwoofers really do it for me.

If I plug in 2 pairs of speakers to this, will they show up as there own “area” on SoundTouch? Like if I want to put speakers in the front of the house and in the back of the house will I be able to just play the backyard speakers or Vice versa ?

Hello Zane, thanks for your inquiry. Great question. Unfortunately, the answer to your question is no, two sets of speakers will not show up in the app separately, nor can they be controlled independently. The amp is the device that has the SoundTouch technology built-in, hence two set of speakers end up being one zone in the app. Hope this answers your question.
