I got it for 111€ in Germany, I have a basic smart 4k Samsung TV the picture is great, but the sound very weak so I thought I would try this. I am excited to receive it :D
you can connect it not only to your tv but also your iphone , music sounds good, tv wise is pretty good and gaming sounds amazing id say 8/10. But its for sure just meant for a small apartment living room or just inside a bed room. You also can’t hear it as much through walls which is a plus because you can just have it loud without bothering anyone. The fact that it is a Bose sound system with dolby and comes with the mounting kit it makes it very well worth the price. But check your costco because they have a bigger longer surround sound one ( bose ) for a little but more $
We bought this and I have mixed feelings. So far it sounds decent, but the functionality isn’t what I wanted. Everything is controlled by the remote. With small children, this is problematic as the remote grows legs frequently. The sound bar times out when inactive so if you do lose the remote, you end up with a black paperweight (because you can’t turn it on without the remote). If it can be controlled with a phone app I haven’t figured out how yet. There is also no indication of volume level so you don’t know if you’re at 30% output or 90% output. Mostly underwhelmed at this point.

On the remote, to toggle between auto-wake and default power settings, press and hold the Power button I until you hear three tones and the status light on the soundbar blinks 3 times (see page 31)."
I picked it up on eBay for 99.99 "refurbished" from Bose a few weeks ago, mounted it directly to our Samsung QLED 65 inch TV, Wife kept complaining she couldn't hear the diolog of movies. Which I did agree, anyways it does sound better than the TV speaker and the dialog button does work. I wouldn't be happy if I paid more, it is ok. I can't complain for the price
I bought this for my PC, and like it so far. One thing they should do on the packages, is show the back of the unit and its various connections (only two for this aside from Bluetooth); it wasn't 100% clear that it was actually a S/PDIF port provided...
Does anyone know how to replace the remote if you’ve lost it while it’s off? My partner just lost the remote and we didn’t realize until we came home, and I haven’t been able to find anything about how to setup a new remote! This might be a shot in the dark but I would really appreciate if anyone could help me out!!!

Thanks for the video. I was reading a forum at Bose in regards to this bar and they kinda confused me. Bose moderators mention that nothing has changed from the Solo 5 except the remote and visual difference (Logo placement). At the same time, they mention "The new Bose Solo Soundbar Series II in fact improves upon the best-selling Solo 5 system. It has improved overall acoustic performance, notably in loudness for video and dialogue mode." How did they improve it if the internals is the same?
Please show us how to hook it up! The instructions are not clear enought. My TV optical digital cable seems to be larger than the one included. The cable just falls out. 😐
I recently bought one of these and am completely dissappointed with it. There is a time lag....we hooked it up to the TV with the supplier optical connection and watched some shows.....the sound doesn't synch with the lips moving of the person speaking in the movie!! Who ever heard of that!! We now have yet another control to mess with as the volume won't just follow the volume setting on the tv..if you let them both play there is a distinct echo...this thing is crap.
I bought this and returned it, There are better sounding soundbars out there for around the same price. Firstly I can not get the bluetooth to function properly with my phone and apparently it is a common problem with this model. Also, it just doesn't sound that great. It didn't do much for enhancing dialogue in the movies we watch and that is one of the main reasons people buy these.
I sampled this soundbar in-store and compared it with the LG SN7Y Dolby Atmos soundbar, and the former actually sounded more impressive than the latter. How on earth is that possible?
Bose is well known for their excellent use of equalization and sound baffling for their amplified products. They use cheap materials, hence the tiny drivers, but their philosophy is that the paper cones and such are immaterial to the objective of great sound. They have decades of experience and were well ahead of the curve for a long time. They've always had some of the brightest engineers working for them (MIT, etc). The only problem with Bose products is the high chance of product failure because of the use of the cheap parts. And when they break you can't really fix it unless salvaging identical replacement parts from other junked units. At the lower end pricepoint, probably doesn't matter at all though since we routinely toss out e-waste of other objects exceeding the cost of this product.

@@static7415 I think the audio is ok for my purposes. For that price range I would need to compare to others. I like it but I'm sure there are better sounding sound bars.
well I just got this bar, and the samsung tv stock speakers (on a 32") are way more clear, than this bar. This bar was one of the huge mistakes of bose. and thats why they are selling them as "refurbished" on ebay, since half the planet sent it back because of lack of quality and the horrible big remote (on series I)
Actually, their Bose Mini has excellent bass and quality of sound especially in such a small enclosure. Plus it's $149. I am disappointed that this Bose Solo sound bar doesn't sound as good as the Bose Mini. Their Bose house speakers also sound like crap & are expensive. Seems like they are relying on their previous reputation to sell many of their products. Sadly, they don't live up to it.
@@texas2far Hi what are you deciding on? I also see Polk has a model on sale for$99 now too but the Bose is now $119 so I am trying to figure it out still.
180 you buy a 2nd had real amp with real speakers, not this hollow sounding plasticky boom boom thing. overpriced crap. and unrepairable (bose is worse than apple, no schematics whatsoever of their electronics, 100% programmed obsolecense crap)
