I got a Tribit Maxsound Plus a few months ago. Excellent sound with rich bass, and from such a tiny speaker, it's hard to believe. The thing has some weight to it, too. These sound great as well. The company nails the price/performance ratio.

6:42 bose 7:13 tribit Bose has more upper bass which kind of translates more bass but the tribit seems to have more punch with the kick sound and a bit more gain in the trebles which sounds more detailed. Well done tribit!

Bose sounds better for me and reliability and quality are also important. Bose SoundLink Micro has been working for me for more than two years of daily use without any problems, it has dropped many times without consequences and I am very pleased. I don't know anything about Tribit brand. But in appearance it is almost an exact copy of the Bose SoundLink Micro.

Love your review. Did the same with my orange Tribit and orange Bose. Tribit won hands down. Bose is still good but sounds much warmer than Tribit. Tribit came out much clearer sounding with a fat punch to it. Although I still like my Bose, I’ll keep it to listen to some night soft smooth jazz that deserves a warm sound. I’ll listen to the Tribit for music that knocks your socks off. BTW, loved how your cat wanted to join the party.

The Tribit is a fantastic speaker, so much so, the next day I purchased another. The stereo pairing is incredible. It certainly packs a very impressive punch

I got the Bose mini SoundLink 2 and this speaker blew me away.......I was a little worried because of the size but don’t get fooled y’all this speaker is banging.

Yo Floss...for max volume I turn on Disable Absolute Volume in the Developer Options. That makes it so the speaker can be on blast and I can adjust the volume on my phone independently and o have seen a noticeable difference in volume

The Bose sounds more crisp, but for half the price the trisoft sounds louder.

Word! I'm glad they beat the Bose. I'll keep my eye on them for my next travels.

Saw this Tribit today on a tech site. I spent about an hour reviewing the details and then said ‘F it; buy’. I’ve been debating getting the Bose for months, but I wasn’t interested in having an older charger that i never use. Found your review after i made my order and got even more excited about the purchase. You legit addressed every concern in a few minutes. Appreciate you; can’t wait to see what else you’ve done. I’m def a new subscriber.

I seen this on their site. Tribit makes some good stuff. I have their Xfree Tune over ear headphones. They sound pretty amazing for $35 dollars. I use them alot. I shouldn't be cause i have the sony 1000XM3 kings but I'm really enjoying the xfree tune that tribit makes.

Those Tribit speakers sounded awesome, even though I watched this on my phone and I could still tell they sounded better and louder than the Bose speaker. I'm putting these on my wish list.

Tribit sounds pretty good, but the Bose Soundlink is decisively better. Granted the soundlink is too heavy for my bike and cost 3X more. But the Tribit is a decent speaker for your bike.

I want that speaker(tribit storm). The sound is crystal clear. Playing this from my one plus 7T w/ no headphones. I hate muddy sounding speakers. This speaker sounds punchy for $55. I just hope the quality fits the sound though.

Great review, and unlike other reviewers your honesty comes out. You do not pick the bigger companies product you pick the ones you liked the most. Other reviewers should watch your reviews to see how it is done, those other guys just piss me the F off. They are like paid F---ing infomercials, you might make money from this but you are still honest in your reviews and for that i thank you.

Got to Agree ,Your ears are correct, Plus I dont like that Bose Connect Agreement they try to make you sign AFYER you make the purchase so they can eavesdrop on what you listen to. Returned the Bose product just for that reason...Nov 2020

Hi Floss. A great review as always. I have a stormbox micro coming this coming Tuesday. I can't wait. I don't usually get 2 speakers, but I might change my mind. I know audio books would also sound good on this speaker. Thanks for explaining where the buttons are located and what they do. Since I'm blind this is a big help. I have the tribit sound max and the sound surf as well. I highly recommend those speakers as well. I listened very closely between the soundmax and the regular stormbox. I decided the soundmax sounded just a bit louder and better then the regular stormbox. Again, thanks for a great review. I am so looking forward to getting the stormbox micro.

listening on max bitrate with senn 598, bose seems to have better high end detail (the cymbal hits have more detail), but the tribit seems to have better mid-lows (the base line comes thru more). obviously its a preference thing but for less than half the price the tribits are pretty damn cool

To me it sounds like the Bose has deeper Bass and the Stormbox has better richness(treble) but def copping both been needing a good travel speaker!!!

just for the record. The clasp end of my strap broke through and wasn't able to create a secure connection, and fell off my motorcycle while riding. I got it back thankfully. I contacted them regarding the issue, and unlike so many other companies today, they immediately responded with an assurance that they stand behind their product, and offered to send me out a NEW device, with a prepaid return label. They are sending me the new device BEFORE they get the defective one. Thats unheard of. They obviously have someone in charge over there that still believes in good customer service and makes a 18 month promise that if the device fails, they will honor that promise.

purchased tribit stormbox and I really love it but within 1 month, some "rattling" sound every time it play song with a bit strong bass, like something inside is not tightened well. I belive it is not cause by blown speaker cone, the rattling noise comes in longer "duration" than the peak of the bass

I just got the Bose unit as a Christmas gift. This comparison is interesting. Bose has a reputation for delivering big bass. I'm pretty sure they have some type of proprietary tech that accomplishes this. For this reason you'll never hear a sound engineer recommend a Bose product for either mixing or mastering. The Bose Micro is great little device for the price but to my ears, just a bit too low end heavy. I'll be putting an EQ in it's path as often as possible. I'd have been just as happy with the Stormbox...especially considering the price differential.
