This poor excuse for a radio goes to max volume once I turn off the radio, turn off the car, and then turn on the car again and then turn on the radio. WHY THE GELL DOES IT DO THAT???!!!
It just does that, I've had mine do it too. Just don't leave the volume turned all the way down 😂 It's a software glitch that happens because you've set your music below the threshold that you've set the radio to default to when it's turned off and back on. It basically turns the volume up to reach that default level but there's no software check in place to tell it to stop at your preferred default level so it turns it as far as it can go until it's told to stop.
There is a setting in the audio controls for the default volume. It resets to the default volume when you turn the car off and back on. If you set that default to a lower volume it will change for the next time you turn it on.
I've had my radio (same as in this video, the BE7ACP) installed since January 2022, never any issues, but this just started happening a week ago. SO random, scared the heck outta me and my dad. Why in the world would it just start doing it after no issues? I also have the Crux SWRNS-63U which lets me control it with steering wheel. Got both from Crutchfield. Will have to check the default volume setting...
I had this same issue just now with a boss be62cp and the crux steering wheel interface. WHen turning off the key the headunit would go to max volume. I set the turn off delay on the headunit to 3 secs and you could see on the screen that the volume would start going up as soon as the key was turned off and continued upwards until the unit turned off. It turned out there's a switch INSIDE the crux unit that can set the output voltage to either 3v or 5v and the unit comes with it set to 5v by default. Setting this to 3v stopped these issues for me (so far anyway). Hope it stays resolved cause it's a painful way to get greeted when you start your car. The crux bag had a slip of paper saying about this switch but it says only to mess with it if you have a pioneer radio. Apparently this applies to boss units as well!
I have the same radio the volume buttons will break after a while the CarPlay disconnects all the time and there’s so many things that are annoying about it but there’s also a Lotta good about it too. It sounds great audio quality is amazing. It’s cool, but it’s glitchy they do have very good warranty I would suggest getting your money back.
I purchased a BV9395B head unit. Same problem just after installation. After getting no where talking to BOSS Audio's technical support, I dumped the unit in the trash and replaced it with a different brand.
I have a similar issue on my BE7ACP. However for me, the volume actively increase when the unit goes into shutdown. If I wait long enough before turning it back on, the high volume is not saved. Yours looks like the default main volume is maxed out. Can you go to Settings > Audio > !!SCROLL DOWN TO Default Volume!! > See if any of those settings, primarily "Main" is too high.
Does anyone else have this problem? I have a similar unit (boss be9acp) and recently the volume knob has stopped working properly. When I go to turn up or down the volume, it doesn’t do it straight away and I have to keep scrolling for a while before it changes by 1 number either way. Doesn’t matter I turn it right or left and it’s kinda driving me insane😂
Turn off the delay shutoff. When you set it to zero it is off and this stops the volume from climbing as the radio shuts off. Makes no sense but it fixes that issue.
I have BVCP9685a and all of a sudden the volume buttons stopped working. Also, my front 4 speakers are not making any sound dont know what happened If anyone can help, please let me know
Mine did the same. I’ve reset it a few times and it changes nothing. A couple weeks ago I got to volume up but I was stuck. I was able to continually press volume and got to down to a level I would like to have it. But now it won’t go up or down. I only get sound if carplay is connected. No radio station has sound.
I have a similar unit and was having same issue intermittently. However now, everytime I start the car, volume goes to zero. Anyone come up with a solve?
Within the Audio - under sittings - slide down to the bottom with your finger - there are other selections for individual volumes per-program usage. I had the problem the other way with low volume as a default. You can adjust to the volume you want, per function and it will stay when you restart the car. Here is a link showing you how to adjust the volume "individually." Watch it - it is towards the end of the video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6gXOUV_EkLY.htmlsi=CYCQ3qF1NBUVhiCY
This Boss head unit is a pile of garbage. This was the first one I purchased and it was also the last one I'll ever purchase; the USB's are junk and won't charge a phone properly, Android Auto disconnects constantly; and the whole system shuts down intermittently. I had this for 4 months and it did all of this out of the box but I was unable to return it to the store. I ripped it out of my dash a couple weeks ago and tossed it in the trash where it belongs. Lastly the sound is absolutely shitty; I have higher end speakers and woofers and they sounded awful with this unit. Do yourself a favor and go to an Alpine or Kenwood/JVC or Pioneer.
ok i found the problem i had to make a few calls, make sure those two pink wires are connected in the crux wiring harness, have the box set on 3v3, and then the right switches set too i forgot what it was i think only the second switch is turned on, youre welcome
@@gatrhumpy hey I think I found a work around. In setting in audio..down near the bottom..there's a default volumes..I turned mine to 2.. and haven't had the issue at all
