Boss baby is one of those movies that everyone jokes about but is also not really a bad movie itself

I will be fine with this film as long as it doesn’t get nominated for an Oscar

Never thought I'd actually think unironically that anything related to this franchise would be decent. Although I still kinda wish Tim was voiced by Tobey Maguire.

Even though I never much cared about Boss Baby after the 1st movie, I will admit I had a genuine like for this one. Only thing notibly a shame(for me at least) was that Tobey Maguire wasn’t in this one.

As someone who disliked the original boss baby movie AND the show, I was prepared for this film to be a train wreck. Boy was I in for a surprise.

Boss Baby 2 is good? What kinda blizzard alternate universe is this??

Never understood the hate towards Boss Baby. I mean, it had terrible jokes, but good ones too, and it was geniunely sweet. I mean, still a better sibling story than frozen.

I was legitimately shocked that Boss Baby 2 was as good as it was. I think it helps that they are adults in this one, the subject matter is more mature. It’s about family growing apart in more ways than one, and it kinda works.

Honestly I thought it was better than the original. But it just annoys me that similar to Pixar movies, people who watch Dreamworks movies has massive expectations of a new movie that they make and if it isn't a 'mAsTeRpIeCe' compared to Shrek, HTTYD, or Kung Fu Panda. I mean yeah The Boss Baby isn't a masterpiece. It's a dumb and baby (no pun intended) movie but that's kinda the point of it? It's a simple kids movie that doesn't need to be deep and emotional compared to the good movies that Dreamworks made over the years. It really does annoy me that people has those high expectations to Pixar, Dreamworks, and other animation companies that makes 'good' movies, and yet when they make decent or mediocre movies, they immediately call it bad. It's really annoying at this point. Anyways sorry for ranting, but I do think Boss Baby 2 is actually better than the original. Hopefully it'll change people's minds when it comes to this franchise.

Literally the only reason I watched this movie is because of Amy Sedaris, whenever I heard her in the commercials I was just like “Princess Caroline?”

Solid video! however, I have to disagree with you about the "Daddy" point. Many women (of various ages and maturities) call their dads "Daddy", ESPECIALLY the Business/Yuppie ones, so it works out.

Great movie, it shows the bonding between a father and his daughter which is really beautiful. It even shows how kids these days are pressurised to work hard give their best do lots of H.W. and stuff when they should actually be having fun at this age. The movie is heartwarming.

I never expected this at all. And it's funny because it happened with the Croods. Although, I loved the first Croods, the second one was just, better. Very strange, I thought this would be worse than the first movie. Also a lot of people are disappointed that Toby wasn't in the movie. However for you Marvel fans, and people caught up with the MCU, you might know why.

I'm glad to know you also liked the film. I think both Boss Baby movies aren't quite liked because they're being compared to other movies. BETTER movies. People shouldn't do that. If you compare something to another like that, you'll obviously make one of them look like trash. The most notable movie being compared to this one is The Prince of Egypt. If people just look at this as a movie to enjoy (and not as a movie trying to be an absolute masterpiece) then that's exactly what it will be. So, once again, I'm glad you liked it!

On rotten tomatoes, this movie only had 49% on the tomato meter but had 89% on audience review lol.

I think this movie was pretty ok. I thought the emotional scenes hit and we're actually pretty good. But what made it worse for me were the big plot twists and the main plot overall. I really would've liked if this movie tried to keep away from the stupid humor and try to work on building the relationship between Ted and Tim. I also really wasn't a fan of the new Boss Baby. But that's my opinion.

I has hoping the sequel would be better, and apparently it was Thank you director for making a better version of the sequel, THANK YOU

I think is weird how ADULTS call kid movies bad movies just because they didn’t find enjoyment even tho it’s for kids

There's a lot of people asking for the next "How to Train Your Dragon" level movie/franchise. And I feel like asking animators to make you another How To Train Your Dragon is a nice wish, but it's like asking a high school basketball player to shoot hoops like Michael Jordan. Those films are special because they are rare and take perfect circumstances to exist. I would count a film like this similar to a small win for a son or daughter where you are happy for them and encourage them. Encouragement can go a lot further than shaming. Every animator I know suffers from depression because people go hating on their work all the time. It's a thankless life. Please encourage them to just do their best instead of telling them to reach some unrealistic standard and then maybe they will surprise you with a gift that came from their creative hearts instead of your wish list.

That's the thing, people need to stop expecting every piece of media to be a masterpiece. Sometimes simple and fun is all a thing needs to be.

the boss baby in my opinion is a fun movie. it's dumb, it doesn't makes sense, but I think it's a fun movie. the film have this hyper energy that if you're just looking for a kids movie, you'd like it

I’m actually glad you said you liked it! I feel like most people would go in to this film wanting to hate it. I thought the first boss baby was not bad... it was not good, I won’t watch it agin but it was not bad! Feels like a true opinion!

Boss baby is sorta a guilty pleasure for me at this point. I liked the first one. I wouldn’t call it a cinematic masterpiece by any means. But I found it to be cute, charming in a way. I like the creative scenes when we have s look into Tim’s imagination. And what do you know. He continues that into the second one. And once again I had the same reaction with the second one. Maybe not a masterpiece. But it made me laugh. I find the whole concept with the baby Corp to just be creative. It like super silly but hey it out there and I’ll give them that. The movies take a weird ass idea and make it watchable.

BOSS BABY 3: ONE LAST TIME ( A real tear jerker im calling it)

The first time I saw Jeff Goldblum was in the Disney+ series "The World According to Jeff Goldblum." The show was a perfect vehicle for Jeff's quirkiness and sense of humor. Then, I watched the Jurassic Park series and loved him in that. So I'm non surprised that he was the star of the show in Boss Baby 2.

I really liked Boss Baby 2. I watched it in theaters with my mom, my little sister, my grandma and my auntie Jill and we were all laughing our butts off at so many of the scenes.

Being honest I actually enjoyed the boss baby family business more than the first movie like both of them are Good movies in my opinion but the sequel yeah that’s the movie I would re watch again (and no I don’t think that their are the best movies but definitely not the worst)

I’m surprised that I like this movie because I usually hate Disney/dreamworks/Pixar sequels but for once it’s a simple and wonderful plot. Why are people looking for something deep?

as one of two unironic boss baby fans i know (the other being my sister), you should watch boss baby back in the crib on netflix. it's a tv series following the second movie and even if none of the other episodes leave an impact, the ending to the birthday episode has left me stunned forever. also the plot when you think about it is super wild. do NOT watch back in business it follows the first movie but is not as good in the slightest. from what my sister's told me. but back in the crib is sublime and i recommend it to anyone who even remotely liked the second movie. i love back in the crib so much the ending is so real you;ve gotta watch it if you haven't

I don’t like how exaggeratedly tiny the aged up kid’s heads were. But I mean I remember watching the show religiously so the boss baby show earns a special place in my memory

It looks like with the footage shown, they play a lot more into the imagination experience in the animation which is actually what I liked about the first. Looks like 2021 is the film era of simple story telling

Honestly, I am surprised it had a sequel and hearing that everyone enjoyed it. Boss baby sounded like a one time deal to me.

The overall movie was pretty good, its just that this movie isnt intended for me and the concept is pretty ehhh. The execution however was really good, and there are parts which I really liked. Its definitely a leg up from the first movie, but not by much imo.

I actually really loved the framing of the reality in the first movie, it offers a lot of room for different interpretations of the film. The reality of Baby Corp being real (???) in the second movie kind of killed the vibe for me :/ I feel like none of the conflicts are really fully explored in a way that contributes to the character's individual arcs.

Boss Baby 2 is like if ADHD had its own movie.

The boss baby series after boss baby 2 movie is actually pretty good. It sort of goes off the rails towards the end, but it showed what a good influence Teddy’s nieces are on him. Also the meta commentary on big corpo culture was well done.

Haven't seen the sequel but you nailed how I felt about the first one, I think the hate on it was based on it somehow getting a freaking Oscar nomination

The second one has a good story, good characters, but it is Rushed. In the first one, the scene where Tim is in the airport after his parents go on the plane with the puppy guy, Tim cries. And if you realize this scene actually gives us time to feel the emotions in this scene. While in the second one, where Ted is reading the letter Tim sent him as a kid, it happens way too fast, and doesn’t give us time to feel the emotions.

I'm a big boss baby fan and I'd say the second one is better than the first

The only positive review I know of this movie. I really like boss baby 2. Is it one of the best sequels? Absolutely not! But it’s just fun and heartwarming.
