The modelling word is going strong, but there's just something about plugging into an awesome hot-rodded Tube Amp that really kicks butt!
Its usually known as 4 Cable Method, but what about 5 Cable Method?
Cable 1 - Input to Guitar
Cable 2 - OUTPUT of GT-1000 to Amp Return
Cable 3 - SEND of GT-1000 to Amp Input
Cable 4 - RETURN of GT-1000 to Amp Send
Cable 5 - Amp Control of GT-1000 to Amp Footswitch

4Cm is my go to since my head is a cheap crate and only use its power section. All my sounds are the GT-1000

Could you use your amp as a power amp by just plugging the output of the gt1000 into the return loop? Would you need to change anything doing that?

Can you branch off inside the gt1000 with your real tube amp sound and effects to an ir into front of house while still using your real cab?. So you can do FOH and real amp and cab with all the same effects simultaneously

You can. You could set up a rig in 4 cable, while have a second out with IRs.

With a bit of tweaking you’d come close. Personally I like the X-Mod Amp, but also the Brit Stack or the Supreme amps could do the trick.

I thought you were going to plug that 5th cable into the Fx loops send 2 to send to the input of a second amp. If you did that and this it would be 6 cable method 😊

Hi Dave, how are u? Please consider changing the name of this video, I put gt1000 in RU-vid search and couldn't find it because of the symbol - It is likely that other users will not be able to do it either and you will have fewer views. I'm no expert, but I wanted to share what happened to me and maybe it will be useful to you. Maybe adding gt1000 without the script is enough 😊
